Ian Byrne is by far the best furniture maker and wood worker in Kansas City. I have had 5 products made by him. They are all of the highest quality. The negatives are 1. Â Price. Byrne is super expensive. 2. Â They tend to keep the wood extra you pay for, so remember to ask for it back. You may think that is small, but you'll likely be using extremely expensive wood, so you might as well keep it; you bought it. We had custom bookcases built to house a library collection that had been donated to the Irish Center. From concept to installation, everything was totally first class! The design was created to coordinate with current decor, while still incorporating aspects unique to our organization. Specific design requests and adaptations were readily incorporated into the initial design without any delay in production. We were able to view pictures of the pieces at various stages of completion and share those pictures with key donors and volunteers.
