What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
At Bump Design, we will always ask in-depth questions designed to identify and further define client needs, goals,
objectives and target audiences. It is always helpful to know the end-use of the graphic designs... for example files will need to be sized appropriately for outdoor use such as, billboards, signage, etc. and files for social media/websites need to be much smaller in a different color format from print.
Describe your creative process.
We produce dynamic brand identities and exceptional marketing materials that are carefully planned and well executed, but our services don’t end there. We consider ourselves partners in business with our clients, so we dive into all aspects of what will make our designs work best for you. Our team considers what designs are most easily implemented and used by our clients and we work all of the magic within an assigned budget and on schedule. We make this happen nearly every day for a variety of clients and we love doing it.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
• What are my business objectives? (Growth of an existing product or service? Introduction of a new product or service? Deepening the relationship with existing customers? Attracting new customers?)
• Who is my target audience?
• How much money can I spend on my marketing efforts?
• What (if any) specific timelines do I have for my marketing efforts?
What do you love most about your job?
Our creative team gets energized and excited by challenges and dives in to find the solution that is going to be the right answer for our clients.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After graduating from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, I immediately started working for successful advertising agencies and quickly discovered there was a strong need for honest, affordable and reliable graphic designers for mid-to small size companies.
