I stopped by on Saturday, May 14th. I had absolutely the best service anyone could ask for from Chip. Not to mention the great tasting and freshness of the food.
It is very difficult to get AMAZING service at times especially during these times of everyone being short staffed. This visit by far was nothing short of OUTSTANDING. Highly recommend eating here and if you have the pleasure of meeting Chip, ask him to tell you a joke....and he will happily tell you one. Thanks Chip and the Buddy's BBQ. Hixson Crew.... I have been there twice so far. 1st time they were out of the brisket. 2nd time they had it, but I'll be honest the brisket at Arby's down the street was better. ..so I didn't eat the brisket I decided to order me a Smoky Dawg...and when I tell you that I have had better chili dogs from street vendors I am not lying. the hot dog which appears on the menu to look as if it has been smoked or grilled I believe came out of some boiling water or a microwave...needless to say highly disappointed More...

I have been to this location several times and have never actually gotten what I wanted because they were always “out of that item for the day”. And I am not even going there late. I stopped for dinner yesterday around 5 and ordered a potato. They were out. Instead ordered the half chicken dinner and they were out. I was just frustrated at that point because it happens every time I go there. Most likely will never be back. Either keep your items stocked or take them off the menu. It isn’t that hard. More...

My husband ordered online, paid, and went in to pick it up. When he got home, he told me that he had stood there waiting for so long that the food may be cold and that the lady he spoke with wasn’t very nice. My food was cold and they had gotten all three of our orders wrong in some way. On top of that, I am missing a slice of lemon pie that I would have loved to have considering how much it cost! I went through the drive-through today to get a barbecue sandwich, but then saw the ribs and thought- that sounds good. Undecided, talking through the speaker box- Dustin working the window said pull up and try every a rib. I did and it was good!! But, I went with the sandwich, as I had my taste buds already set for it. But I will be back for ribs! The food is good, and everyone needs a good employee like Dustin!! I do not usually write a bad review, having been in the restaurant business before trust me I know how hard it is to get things right every time , however this Buddy’s is nothing to compare with Buddy’s in Knoxville and Loudon. We have been Buddy’s customers for many years and were so excited to have one so close in Hixson and we have been here several times, however we will have a hard time going back here until improvements are made. One night last week we ordered BBQ chicken plates. Chicken was very dry and cold. Sides were cold, corn was cold and tough and we got no hush puppies with meal. We love your lemon pie but will not purchase again due to serving size and price. Please for the your business to continue as advertised get someone to work who can live up to Buddy’s repetition in food and service. Thanks More...

First let me start by saying we have eaten here many times in the past and it's always been great. However last night 4/11/2021 we had a terrible experience. We came in around 8:15 PM and knowing they close at 9 we decided to be considerate and order to go. We walked in to a very uncrowded dining room (only 2 tables with people eating) and a young man cleaning tables. We stood at the counter for several minutes while staff messed around behind the counter out of view of us. Finally the young man cleaning tables poked his head behind the counter and asked someone to please take our order to which a young woman refused stating "she was leaving". I should have left at this moment because I was already frustrated. After arguing with her for a few moments someone else in a black polo shirt (I'm assuming a manager?) emerged laughing from out of view and took our order. We ordered 6 meals for a total of $57 and some change. Then we sat at a table and waited for our food. 15 to 20 minutes passed and no one had called us for our food but we noticed bags on the counter. My wife went up to the counter and kindly asked the young man that had previously been cleaning tables of that was our food to which he very rudely replied "I don't know. I don't even know what your ordered " COME ON ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? How rude can you possibly be!? Then the lady in the black polo emerged from out of view again and asked us how many meals we where supposed to have (she took our order and no one else's since then you would think she would know) we repeated what our order was and she checked that it was all there and gave us our sauces and we left. So our food was just sitting there and had we not gone up to check I don't know if anyone would have said anything and we would have sat there waiting for who knows how long. Then we get down the road about 10 minutes away and go to eat our food and it was not good at all. The ribs where dry like they had set under a heat lamp all day more like beef jerky than anything else. Hardly any meat on most of them. Most the food was cold, fries where soggy. Hush puppies where hard and cold. All around it was very disappointing. As stated earlier we have eaten there before and always had great experiences. Not this time. I will have a hard time coming back after this experience. I don't Typically leave reviews, positive or negative, but having ran my own store in the past I would want to know about such a disappointing experience so I could address it with my staff. More...

After waiting 30 minutes for order, we were told it would be another 15 minutes. Nothing complicated. Got a refund and left. We went somewhere else and my order was processed and received quickly. We finally got to visit the new Buddy's BBQ in Hixson! We will definitely be going back! The food was hot and delicious. The service was exceptional. Did an online order for carry out, wasn’t impressed. Turkey was nothing but thinly sliced deli meat with no flavor. Pork was okay however be sure to ask for barbecue sauce or you won’t get any.
