Break me off a piece of that Kit Kat Bar?  Nah, break me off a Rib!Haven't had Bubbalou's since probably college days.  I remember trying to study after eating the dinner portion. . not happening. Super tasty! Work catered a meal for us and we had brisket sandwiches. The barbeque sauce is a great balance of flavors, and the bread used is really good. I also loved their mac and cheese and green beans. Make sure to order some corn bread muffins with your meal. I am so, so addicted to this restaurant. I always go thru the drive-thr so I don't know how the service is inside, but I'm always greeted enthusiastically and service is rather quick considering I order at the window. I originally went to try the barbecue when I first moved here. I was surprised to see blackeyed peas and collard greens on the menu, but it was also a plus because I need both for my diet. Everything and I mean everything was delicious. Most recently, I decided to try the grilled chicken. I tell you I probably get it 2-3 times a week now. The chicken is tender and juicy and the barbecue sauce tho a plus, really isn't necessary. And yes I still get the greens, peas and then I switch up with corn or mashed potatoes with cornbread. If you're interested in good barbecue this would be a great place to stop. While not as good as you might find in Austin or Memphis, it was a good stop for some ribs and a beer. First of all the BBQ was awesome. I had the baby back ribs and tried the pulled pork both were fall off the bone good. The staff were very good as well. Took time to explain to new comers how things worked as far as the menu goes in a very courteous manner. The building itself was decorated in a very cool and unique way. Looking for a good BBQ joint?  Look no further that Bubbalou's.  It doesn't matter if you are in the mood for a Pulled Pork sandwich, half chicken, chicken legs, brisket or a full rack of ribs, this place has it all!  Sauces?  The table is set with sweet, mild, hot, or killer sauces.  And for someone with a desire to have their mouths on fire - the Killer Sauce is for you!  It had depth of flavor and was packed full of spice!You start by placing and paying for your order at the counter.  They give you a pig number (literally a number on a pig) and you go find a seat at one of the picnic tables inside (or outside if you'd like).  Then they bring you your food and off you go.For the price, it was excellent.  A full rack of ribs for $12!  If you are debating about what sides to get, be sure the slaw is one of them.  It was excellent, and a great way to put out the fire from the killer sauce.Nothing more to say, except that I can't wait to go back! I went here for breakfast and surprisingly this place has a great breakfast variety. The only downfall is if you're going to a barbecue joint at 10 in the morning do not expect to get anything other than some pulled pork and I am lit or on a biscuit. Bubbalou's may not be fancy, but it has some of the best BBQ in the Orlando area.  Let's face it, BBQ is very subjective and everyone has their own personal tastes. I personally prefer it to 4 Rivers and feel that the sauces are 100x better.  I enjoyed the sliced pork dinner on this visit which comes which yummy crinkle cut fries, great coleslaw, beans which are near perfect and Texas toast.  The iced tea is great and they also have a selection of beers and sodas if you prefer.  They have both inside and outside seating and service is usually fast but not super friendly.   They don't advertise it, but you can get free refills by going to the counter and asking for it.  Parking can be a pain during peak times in this plaza, so you might have to park a little bit away or circle a few times... but it's worth it! Best BBQ in town! You have multiple options for BBQ sauce including their Psycho Sauce. The spicier the better (in my opinion) and this place does not disappoint. Along with their sauces they will surely fill you up with their dinner specials. This was our 2nd visit here, 1st time was only for carry out & I didn't plan to come back after since the food was not good after bringing it home, but we decided to give it another try for "dine-in" & I'm glad we did. We ordered fried pickles, fried okra & gator nuggets (bites?), a baby back ribs basket, a pulled pork basket & a Bubbalou's salad. The food was significantly better when eaten right away vs. after traveling (we only live about 15 mins away, but it apparently matters!). All the apps were overly salted, but w/the dipping sauces were still decent. The okra was good, I'd recommend. The pickles were average, & the gator was ok but a bit gamey to me. After seeing other reviews I'm thinking either we got an "off" batch or it's just me! The rest of the food was good - the salad came with a nice portion of pulled pork, the pulled pork sandwich was good, the ribs basket  was tasty, & all the sides were decent. We enjoyed trying all the sauces, & liked sitting at a patio table in the outdoor patio - they also have indoor seating in this super casual restaurant. Service was great - Every employee was friendly & helpful. Overall we feel like we got what we paid for, & we'd recommend giving this place a try. We'll be back to try more menu items. More...

Charming atmosphere reminiscent of the nostalgic quintessential bbq joint. Service was good and staff was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the 2 meat combo platter with lamb and brisket. The lamb was dry and not exactly bbq'd. Taste was fine but texture could have been better- it was tough. Brisket was juicy and tasty and the sauces on the table were good as well. The hot is not too hot and was the go-to for this meal. Collard greens could have used a bit more seasoning. Overall good dining experience, but not the best bbq I've ever had but it was decent.
