Let me begin by saying we had always enjoyed BRQ and frequented it often. In late February, my family and friends went to BRQ to celebrate two birthdays. What should have started as a wonderful experience, began with our waitress telling us she was tired and had been working all day! It was dismissed as unnecessary. Our meal began with our appetizers coming out wrong. Once again, the inconvenience was dismissed as a mistake. For our main course, my husband and I ordered the grilled Redfish. His fish was made wrong and mine was tougher than shoe leather! We have eaten there many many times and the Redfish is my favorite dish. I barely ate half of my meal! The final offense, which I consider to be the worst, was the fact that we were not offered coffee or dessert. Remember, we were there to celebrate birthdays and we were never offered anything from an establishment that prides itself on the size of their sweets! Our experience was so disappointing that I called the manager the next day. I was told that she was going to contact her management team, speak with the waitress, and get back to me. Seventeen days later I have not heard anything from the manager! We are glad to know that our repeat business and loyalty are totally unimportant!!! More...

What’s your signature dish?
BBQ is our top seller. BBQ Platters, guests love our brisket, ribs, chicken, pork and andouille. We make everything fresh and the BBQ, while it's cliche, "low and slow."
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
Start with Crab and Brie Empanadas, then Brussels and Kale Salad, Assorted BBQ with Sides, and finish with our Monster Carrot Cake. "Homerun every time!"
What do you love most about your job?
The people! Creating new relationships, hearing about their stories, their wants, needs, and love for food and life. Southern hospitality is a real thing in Baton Rouge. Once we bond and they try our food, we become part of their lifestyle.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Working with likeminded people that want to accomplish similar goals. Creating something different, something that Baton Rouge never experienced before. Once we realized we had a great product and team, it became infectious and we wanted to spread the joy. Great food, hospitality, drinks, and being part of the community, it's everything we do and live by.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
The restaurant is constantly being cleaned and sanitized. Wiping down tables, chairs, doors, bathrooms, etc. All staff are wearing masks, washing their hands, and being mindful of others. BRQ is following recommendations from the city, state, and CDC.
Bar Services
Several Bar Packages are available including frozen drinks, beer, wine, champagne and liquor.
Hospitality Services
Our catering team includes Event Coordinators, Event Staff, Live Cooks, Bartenders, and more.
Traditionally our team arrives 2 hours prior to each event and continues to work approx. 2 hours after. Services include prep, setup, service, bussing, cleaning, restoring, etc.
