I was born and raised in Brooklyn, so I had to give "Brooklyn's Finest Pizza" a try for the first time. Hey folks, where the heck is the cheese on this pizza? Pizza joints that skimp on the cheese don't last a New York minute in Brooklyn. For $18.49, you ought not to be hungry after ordering a pie. For that price in Brooklyn, I would have been stuffed and able to share a couple of slices with a homeless soul in the hood. Love this pizza. They have my favorite type of pepperonis - the little cup type! Yum! Their crust is thin and put on the perfect amount of sauce. I've ordered from them 2x now and it's been consistently good, correct orders and on time. I'm from NY so I'm pretty picky about my "NY Style" pizza. For the neighborhood, I think they are the best. Recently moved here from Jersey and this is my go-to pizza spot. Super fresh and tasty signature pies. I ordered the Brooklyn and the, NY, NY and also some delicious breaded wings that had a great spice to them. Staff is always friendly, it's cool they ask you if you need any packaged crush red pepper or other spices when you grab a pie. This is what you want from a neighborhood pizza joint. Let's face it, New York style pizza is the superior art form (don't come at me! ). After one visit to Brooklyn's Finest Pizza, I'm convinced they're a legit homage to their namesake. The name alone has enticed me since moving to Denver. It's one of the first places I bookmarked. It may have taken me nearly two years to get here, but boy I'm glad I did.Speaking of the name of the restaurant. Pretty ballsy move. These cats must be from Brooklyn! As the only member of my immediate family not born and raised in New York's favorite borough, I can smell a New Yorker a mile away. "Alright Matt, how was the 'za already? Stop beating around the bush."18" inch pie, half cheese, half pepperoni. Order of 6 garlic knots. Slice of cheesecake. This is one of the quintessential takeout meals in my opinion. Brooklyn's Finest does it right. A no frills pie with a sauce to cheese ratio that'll please the masses. Crisp crust, nice fold. Reheated well the next day. I also ordered online like the previous person below me on a Friday night. I also was confused if they actually got my order or not since I didn't even put my phone number in so I called to confirm. They did end up calling me when it arrived which was fine. But okay, I paid 20$ for the TINIEST PIZZA IN THE WORLD. I mean it was 4 TINY slices. Plus they got my order wrong, I wanted half pepperoni and half mushroom instead they put it all on one side. I'm from NJ/NY and I'm used to larger amounts of pizza when you spend 20$. I was still hungry afterwards and very disappointed. The taste, I mean it was okay, it was crispy and the pepperoni was good. But again hard to gage because I was still hungry afterwards. I'd never been to or ordered from Brooklyn's;  I don't spose I will again.  Ordered at 5:20;  an hour later I called to check.  I had made the order online;  they could not find the order.  After some time looking, they DID then find the order;  they said it was almost done and would be out the door in ten or 15 minutes.It was pretty clear they had just lost the order.  So we finally got the slightly warm, not hot, pizza an hour and 40 minutes after the order.   I've read of other issues like this with the store, and in those cases they were re-imbursed for their trouble,  or other pizzas delivered, etc.  Not in  my case.  No apology at all, just "it'll be on the way in a few minutes". Hits the spot for "New York" style pizza. I appreciated the extensive authentic toppings choices including all kinds of peppers- we got ricotta, roasted yellow tomatoes (yum) and kalamata olives.  I also liked that the cheese was not overly oily. I don't post reviews very often anymore, but this place deserves it. I had a truly delicious meal, and not a bit of the attention to detail or flavor was lost on a meal to go. I've sampled many a pizza on many a continent, and this was truly a triumph. It's clear that a passion for great food is infused into everything on the menu.I started with the spinach salad. The presentation was beautiful, and the toppings plentiful. This could have been a meal in itself, but I saved room for the main event: the Little Italy. Turning an olive oil sauce pizza into a showstopper takes skill, because the flavors have nowhere to hide. The garlic shone through beautifully and was complimented by the perfect amount of cheese and finished with gorgeous tomatoes. Brooklyn's Finest is hands down the best Pizza Spot in Denver. This is real NY style pizza. I also have to mention the garlic knots, OMG. They are so good. From the reviews I wanted to try this place, I was pleasantly surprised! I'm pretty picky about pizza. I don't love too many toppings, I don't like too much sauce, I love a good crust, not too thick, not too thin. I got my husband and dad a jalapeño sausage medium to share, I got myself a small Hell's Kitchen. They killed theirs ( should have got them a large) they finished the rest of mine lol. We wanted to give this spot a second chance since it has so many great reviews. The first time, last year & pre-covid, we ordered the bomber and were so underwhelmed that we avoided trying this restaurant again until tonight. I ordered through Grubhub around 6:30 for a pickup and they let me know it was ready for pick up at 7:04. I had called to make sure I could add the free garlic knots if I checked in at the restaurant and whoever helped me on the phone was great. I got there around 7:15 and the associate with bright pink hair seemed peeved that I wanted to add the garlic knots to my order. I waited inside for about 5 minutes then went to my car to wait. Someone brought out just the garlic knots and I informed him I had a pizza and salad as well. He said "oh," went inside, and I proceeded to wait another 10 minutes. I went inside to inquire and they said it would "probably 10 minutes." I asked for a refund and left around 7:45. The associate who helped with my refund(Jesus?) was very very helpful and apologetic. Just moved into the area and was looking for some great pizza after a day of packing & hauling all our junk. This hit the spot. East Coast Pizza in Denver. Excellent crust thickness and easy to eat. Ample toppings and the specialty pizzas are a great value, even if you add extra cheese or roasted red peppers.
