Credit given where credit is due. One of our first landlords to not steal our security deposit (this is likely tainted by college town experience). We were in a home for six years, and it definitely needed a touch-up when we left, although we did the best we could to clean up. Brink returned most of our deposit less a very reasonable deep clean fee.In six years Brink was responsive to maintenance requests and professional with inspections and communication. Rent increases were regular, but they were also reasonable given the housing market here.I don't intend to ever rent again (homeowner now, again), but if we do, I'd lean towards going with Brink. I highly recommend Bring Property Management. I have two property managers who really are the best. I live out of state and never worry about my rental due to the great property managers at Brink. I recently had water damage in my rental and although its a bit stressful having to deal with an insurance claim, my property managers were beyond wonderful taking such great care of me but more importantly, great care of my tenants. We have been using Brink to manage our 20-unit apartment in South County and could not be happier. We were using a different management company and they had us convinced our property would never turn a profit and was plagued with "issues". We were considering selling the property. After much research and vetting, I found Brink and am extremely impressed. We are turning a profit now, increasing rents, bringing in higher quality tenants and still taking care of deferred maintenance. We rented out our place on our own for seven years but decided after a bad situation we would hire help and Brink Property Management was recommended to us. From start to finish they have been a first rate management company. Gretchen Walley and Syndie Donovan personally handled our account for three years and did an exceptional job putting the house on the rental market, carefully vetting tenants, collecting rents, keeping records and maintaining the property as things came up that needed to be done. Both of them were very responsive to questions and worked well with the tenants as well as us as owners. They have an amazing stable of vendors to fix just about everything, and they get a work order out the day you approve the work. I am very pleased with their professional manners and attitude as well as how they followed up on all the details of a rental for us. Took alot off of us and the fee was money well spent. After the tenants moved recently, Gretchen even helped us with getting a couple of vendors out so we can quickly get the house on the market for sale. She did not have to do that but it's typical of her commitment for great service going about and beyond. Gretchen and Syndie worked very hard for us and I know they had many rentals to deal with yet they treated us like we were a priority every time. We worked with Brink Management for over five years after we both accepted new positions within our companies and transferred from Issaquah to Portland, OR. At the time of our transfers, the real estate market was in a down turn, so we were forced to rent our Issaquah home. Throughout the following five+ years, Syndie Donovan and the rest of the Brink staff were always helpful not only in their regular monthly updates, their regular on site inspection of the townhouse but in their willingness to respond to any questions we had throughout the time we worked with them. They also provided some guidance as to rent amounts each year that renewed the lease. Perhaps the best proof of the fine job they did as our liaison with our tenant was the fact that we had the same tenant for the whole time, a testament to Brink's screening, guidance and responsiveness to the tenant's needs. The strongest proof though happened when we were ready to sell. It's true that the real estate market "got hot" again, but much to both our and our outside real estate agent's surprise, when we had the initial meeting at the townhouse after the tenant vacated, the real estate agent exclaimed that "this place is so well maintained, sparkling clean and ready to go on the market!" We expected we might have to repaint, do some repairs etc., but it wasn't necessary. The townhouse sold within 24 hours after it went on the market.
