My two daughters take guitar lessons w/Bradley Fish; I'm appreciative of his diverse and open teaching style. Your goals, in regards to what you may hope to accomplish musically, will always be taken into account. If you want to focus on technique and music theory, he will assemble the appropriate repertoire. If you are looking to experiment with different instruments and get a taste of studio work, he will accommodate. There is always open communication and any lesson can be "tuned" to fit your mood for the day. This is a fun and relaxed atmosphere with a quality and skilled individual! More...

There is a lot to say about Bradley Fish. He has skyrocketed me as a bassist and musician as well, challenging me and working with me in a professional yet hospitable way. He feels like a friend as well as a mentor, nothing feels formulaic or by the books(so no boring christmas tunes). He teaches you in a way that works with your talent. Lying down everything in the process, like theory, technique, even tips on working as a musician in the professional world.I cannot recommend Bradley enough, hell I drive an hour and a half to go to lessons. Definitely the place to go to if you want a teacher that works with and for you! More...

This was the greatest experience. My six-year-old son got to play lead electric guitar in a "band" with rock favorites like Bad to the Bone and Wild Thing. Talk about motivation to practice, combined with a beginning in music theory. It's clear that Mr. Fish has everything to offer the advanced musician (I am not one, so I can't be specific), and yet can manage to teach a young beginner an astonishing amount. And it was incredible fun. More...

Bradley Fish may be the best guitar/music teacher around! I traveled from Texas to Wisconsin and a big reason I wanted to was for these lessons. You can't beat the price for all of the resources he offers, I was able to record professional sounding originals, play and improvise in groups, and I even made a friend and joined a band. I struggled so long with many things and he made theory and learning so easy and so fun. Anything musically you want to pursue, this is one of the best teachers out there. More...

I'm so grateful that I found Bradley Fish two years ago when my 11 year old son was ready to learn to play guitar. Two years later, we are still going strong! Bradley teaches children, teens and adults. My son has learned so much! Bradley has taught him many, many things from basic beginning skills like notes, chords and fingerings to music theory and reading sheet music. He's taught my son how to play solo, in a duet, a trio and a group. Bradley has also instructed him in the practical skills of changing strings, tuning and using electric guitar accessories. He's taught my son to play in a variety of modern music styles and historical music styles. Incidentally, my son also plays harmonica under another teacher and Bradley has taught him to play his harmonica in a neck holder WHILE he's playing guitar Bob Dylan style! (minus the cigarette, of course, lol)Bradley has so many, many instruments, string and otherwise, available for students to try out (and look at- fascinating!). I love it! He can really rock-it as a drummer on a full set and I love that he sings with gusto and conviction! Bradley also has a complete recording studio with all the technology to completely support it. My son worked on a recording with Bradley recently. Bradley helped him to play all the parts on the recording and added his own vocals and even a harmonica track! It was amazing. My son loved tweaking it and experimenting with sound. Bradley taught my son improvisation and how to perform a solo on demand that fits with the key and style of the music! I've especially enjoyed listening to this learning progression. My son played some pretty bad ear-bleeders in the beginning but Bradley has expertly worked with him blending both technical and musical knowledge skills. My son has gotten better and better over time. I don't want to brag on my kid or anything but sometimes, I can't even tell if it's my son or Bradley playing now!Something that makes Bradley Fish special and unique are Band Nights! I love that my son has the opportunity to play in an actual functioning garage-style band so early in his musical career! Bradley encourages him to bring his harmonica and switch out between guitar, bass and harmonica. My son is a very stubbornly-unwilling and uncooperative singer and Bradley hasn't been able to get him to sing. Yet. But I know he will use his teaching magic and make a (back-up) singer out of him yet. Rock Band Night and Blue Grass Band Night lessons with other students are an awesome perk of Bradley's lessons! Finally, and this is important, too, there's a very comfortable waiting room just off the full-studio lesson room. The couches are super comfy and there are snacks! More...

My 10 year old son really wanted to learn guitar and I always wanted to learn as well, so we searched the web for guitar lessons like most people would and found quite a few results in the Madison area. I reached out to a few places and heard back from Bradley instantly and he was totally on board with teaching the two of us at the same time. The initial free lesson is a great idea, cause you get to test the water without making a commitment. Bradley’s a goofball and great with kids. We signed up for several weeks of lessons and my son was always excited for guitar practice night. My son and I struggled with chord changes and technique at first and Bradley was very patient with us. My son really liked that Bradley had the full band setup in his studio and even got to practice the drums a couple of times. I’d recommend Bradley to anyone at any level and will be reaching out to him again in the future for another series of lessons. More...

Bradley was my gateway into a lifetime passion for guitar and music. I came to him with barely any knowledge and the goal of learning how to play my favorite songs from my favorite guitar idols. Not only was Bradley able to learn anything I brought to him on the spot, he was able to break it down and explain it to me musically. His methodologies in our lessons laid down the framework for a student who just didn't want to replicate others but was able to understand why they played what they did and why it was great. This was vital in allowing me to go on and aspire to become my own great creator of music. He taught me to love the language of music and that is the best thing anyone can give to an aspiring player.
