We recently purchased a house that, while we loved it, it just wasn't our style. We went on a search to find someone to assist us in remodeling almost every room in our home, and (luckily! ) found Carmen. We are so glad we did. When the stars align, they can be magical and that is what happened when our paths crossed with Carmens! We were starting our first remodel, my husband having knowledge and me having none. My goal was to still be married by the time we moved into the remodeled home and because of Carmen's calm, time-lined, organized and structured guidance, we are not only still speaking to each other, we are thrilled. Carmen gently pushed us with deadlines, guided us with connections and never tired finding just what we needed! I tend to "beat to my own drum" and Carmen never judged my "taste" yet she constructively pointed out what might work...or what might not. My 3 criteria I set forth at the beginning was that I wanted a high quality job, at a reasonable price and on a timely basis. Carmen Q. and I met in early 2000 when we made the fabulous decision to work on our first project together at the Los Angeles Interior Design Showcase House in Hancock Park; Southern California. It was a very exciting time getting to know one another as a professional in the design world and combining our ideas, vision and design style to create a most luxurious outdoor space that was comfortable yet stylish and ornate.

We since have worked on various residential projects together big and small and it has been a pleasure to witness Carmen assist her clients in bringing their vision for their homes to fruition. Her eye for design and attention to detail will leave you with a feeling of confidence and comfort.

I can't say enough good things about my experience with BPL Design Group and with the owner, Carmen. As a general contractor it is imperative to have a designer that knows the product and how it works together. Carmen and her team were amazing to work with. All of the proper product was staged at the property before we even started the demolition. Carmen was always available to answer any questions we had. Carmen is a joy to work with, a true professional in her field. She has an excellent sense of design/space and her ability to pull color schemes together is amazing. She is extremely organized and works with her sub-contractors to stay on schedule with her projects. Materials are always selected and ready to go in a timely manner. I cannot say enough about Carmen, her design taste and remodel knowledge, except that I got really lucky to be able to work with her. I had no idea that some of the reasons my older home had ugly or weird components were because of code parameters vs. a cheap flip choice. I still look at choices Carmen made such as my composite sink and think how much I love it. I also learned rather than have all my ideas set, let her do what she does and make suggestions. She knows what she is talking about with over 20 years of experience. For instance, you can't have half a room with Shutters and then a big shade on one window. You won't be happy. Additionally, she has so many contacts in the business that if you need an AV guy to hide TV wires, she will connect you even if that wasn't part of her project with you. I loved that she stuck to my budget and kept the project and workers on schedule. I still love love love my bathroom and my kitchen. More...
