I smoke a lot of meats for my family. So I’m pretty hesitant to eat BBQ out. However, we have driven by here for several years almost on a daily basis and haven’t stopped until today. We will stop more often now. We were greeted by the owners as we walked in the door. The menu has the perfect amount of options. The restaurant was spotless and the meats were perfect. Not to over powering and flavor was just what we were looking for. It felt like I walked into grandmas house on a Saturday afternoon and she fixed my favorite sandwich for lunch. OMG!!!! What can I say this place is charming! It can accommodate big parties. The sign on the windows reads "Big Texas Flavor" and that's EXACTLY what this is. The owner Ronda actually greeted us and politely asked how we heard of them? We actually dropped our boat off at the shop down the street and I asked the worker there if it was any good? He said it is very good but it will make you sleepy. I ordered the baja tacos (on the Tex mex menu per Rondas recommendation) with brisket minus the red onion and it came with just two tacos however these weren't ordinary tacos- these were melt in your mouth tacos! I have never experienced such a flavor party in my mouth. My husband ordered the dawg sandwich that had 3 meats on it and he literally said it was the best bbq he's ever had. Which is saying a lot. Then to top it the whole dining experience off- the owner gave us two cake pops of our choosing. I chose the carrot cake which was 10/10 and the hubbs chose the chocolate peanut butter one. We stopped in boss Hawg  BBQ for the first time . We will definitely be back the food was excellent. I had the ribs and jalapeño sausage, very good! ! If you would like to get racially profiled and get the police called on you for a simple card decline, even after showing other cards with your name on it this is the place to go too. Even made it seem it was our fault that the police got called by lying and accusing us of snatching the card away and then telling us that the card reader had been acting up all week. No reimbursement was offered and we left feeling embarrassed by the whole situation. A simple ID check could have prevented this whole ordeal. Would not recommend this place especially if you are of a darker pigmented skin color. More...

Missed the family own and run business after fighting the Covid.I remembered it as being the perfect bbq joint north of Texas. But things change and so people. We both had two meat dinners. Hers was sausage and ribs, while I had ribs and sliced brisket.Ribs were too done, ends real tough and falling off the bone isn't a big deal but theses were very fatty, too.Sausage was sliced and looked like a sear was on it causing it to be a bit dry.Brisket was delicious but cut a little thin.Sides:Loaded potato salad lacked something, maybe dill pickles. This is possibly the best BBQ in Oklahoma, the owners are usually on site and super friendly. It's grown a little since opening, but I assume it will grow even larger! The brisket is the best I've had in the state. The Mac n cheese is to die for! Ribs are great, go get some! More...

This was a treat! Running errands all morning as I am passing through the area--I have a thing for BBQ and Blues--and was hungry when I arrived. What a surprise! I felt like I was adopted by the owners Joel and Ronda...they made sure I got a taste of Boss Hawg!I had the Boudin, as I was anxious to try it for the first time. Imported from Louisiana from "real Cajuns" as Joel put it and smoked in house--I was satisfied and impressed.I had read about the sides here and I was not disappointed. I chose the Mac and Cheese of course--this dish raised my previous bar for comfort food. Joel was proud of his Gumbo, and it didn't take him to long before he brought me a sample. Wow! This dish hit the spot--I felt like I was down home... A rib on the side for "tasting" purposes--of course (eyes rolling)! Dry rubbed and smoked with pecan--the sauces served as condiments were great too. I favored the Tangy but the regular was just as flavorful as well; a bit sweeter (like Ronda and the kitchen staff). I didn't want to leave, I felt like I was home...Joel made sure that I got a photo of me with Boss1 and Boss2 before I left. Ps. I almost forgot about the Brisket slice. My-oh-my! Moist and juicy and so tender--spot on!Thank you Joel, Ronda and Trey, too! Perhaps the best part was meeting and chatting with the three of you!  No way could I keep this under my hat... First time eating here today. Got the Full Knuckle BBQ pack meal for family. It's was great! Also got the shrimp and grits, collard greens, and Mac and cheese.
