I had lunch here first the first time and felt it was decent, but too overpriced. I prefer my BBQ to be a little more informal, less expensive and, frankly, all you eat. A pulled pork sandwich, potato chip fries and soft drink was $16, about twice as much as it should have been. Five hours later, I'm still popping Pepcid More...

Amazing food and service! Plan ahead for the drag brunch they are currently doing once a month - it’s the can’t miss event in town! !! Tickets can be purchased for indoor seating and outside seating it first come first served!! Today we had some of our favorites, the pasty basket, Nashville Hot Chicken Skins and Mac and Cheese Arancini. We split the special sandwich - fried bologna on Texas toast with bacon and scrambled egg. It was all to dye for!!! More...

This is a great place for food, fun, and eclectic history. Imagine great food in what is part of an old insane asylum at a baseball park. However, you would never know about the asylum part if they didn't tell you. The place had a noise level on par with other bar and grills but we could all converse around the table without a problem. We ate inside due to the heat but they had a nice outdoor eating area as well. The food that my party ordered was great. We had a vegetarian, one allergic to gluten, and a mix of others and all raved about the quality of the food and atmosphere. I personally had an appetizer of bacon wrapped Mac-N-Cheese with blue cheese that was great. Not a lot of cheese taste other than the blue cheese crumbles but it was tasty. My main course was the fried catfish that was cooked perfectly. The spice from the fried jalapeños and the saltiness from the capers was a great touch. The collared greens were tasty but lacked the traditional southern taste due to being vegetarian. Not that it wasn't delicious just a little different. The other side order I got was of potatoes that was good but was cold. I had expected "mashed" potatoes based on what I saw but it was a potato salad which is listed on the menu but I overlooked that detail. It was tasty though. The Waiter was very knowledgeable about the food and spent time with my friend who is severely gluten intolerant to assure him his food wood be gluten free. That detail meant a great deal to my friend as the last restaurant we ate at had cross contaminated his food and made him sick. The waiter also spent some time telling us the history of the location and the mental hospital that had been on the property. This is a place I will certainly return to if I am back in the area again. More...

This is a restaurant I probably should have visited sooner this year. A spacious comfortable building with a lot of history with plenty of outdoor seating. As you wait or before you eat there is pinball to played in the back by the restrooms. Brunch has some fun menu items such as Saturday Morning Cartoon Breakfast Plate which includes fruity pebbles pancakes. Homemade strawberry ice cream is topped with finger limes or known as lime caviar a citrus explosion in your mouth. All the wait staff and owner were very in gauging in conversation about the food and upcoming events. Which leads me to believe they enjoy their jobs at this bbq joint right by the stadium. More...

We just went for the very first time to celebrate a friend's birthday and we so enjoyed it! I've previously only had Bone-In catering (which is also good) but going to the restaurant and enjoying food off of their carefully curated menu was even better. Our server, Monica, was phenomenal. She was kind, attentive, and handled our multiple checks and split appetizers like a pro. She even got a sweet treat for the birthday girl - some incredible Cracker Jack ice cream. Monica was really wonderful. The table shared the charcuterie board, the cheese board, and the spreads board. That ALONE could've been a meal. The boards are full of delicious bites - there is no blank space. They also allowed us to try new things like the country pate and the pickled fried pork belly. They were amazing. Almost all of us enjoyed frozen beverages, including the fruity, vodka-y Bone In punch, and they were icy and boozy. Bone-In serves most of their dishes with their focaccia bread which I'm not typically a fan of; however, it was nice and spongy and made for a great base for both the spreads and the pulled chicken sandwich. The star of my meal has to be the Mac and cheese arancini with tomato jam. Crispy, a little sweet, a little salty. They were perfect AND you can sub them as a side for $1.50! Overall, we had a great time. The staff was so attentive, the food was wonderful, and the atmosphere was great for a large party like ours. Beware: they can get slammed during Fireflies game days. Go on an off day. More...

All I can say is go and eat there and ask for Deb! She might have been the best waitress I have EVER had. She took the time to answer the million questions my family had. She took the time to make sure that requests we had were accommodated (i.e. I don't eat meat and my mother is allergic to jalapenos). The food was fantastic. Deb recommended a million things to us (bone chips, cartoon breakfast, Brussels sprouts, crispy onion things, etc), which we tried, and were not disappointed by. I wish this was in Chicago so I could eat there more often. Also, this place is dog friendly! We had our pup with us and the service he got was nothing less than exceptional. We walked in and they offered to get him water. They fed him treats that we brought (because he is allergic to chicken and beef) and they mentioned that they are working on a dog menu.If I am ever back in Columbia, this will be a must stop! I told all our family that they need to try this place because it was AMAZING. More...

Very solid four rating. Will come back again. My waitress was really nice and informative. The smoked chicken wings were the best I have eaten. Ribs were very good but not the highest quality pork ribs I have eaten in a BBQ spot. The sides are a little eclectic for BBQ but very good. Brussels sprouts were solid, the Mac and cheese fritters were good, and the pickled veggies were tasty. Need to improve draft beer selections. The had five or six but they were slightly odd selections. Reasonable prices and good portions. Comfortable interior. More...

Tried the Nashville hot chicken skins and BBQ brisket sandwich here. The hot chicken skins came with blue cheese dressing and were crispy and well-seasoned with a slight kick. The brisket sandwich plate came with BBQ hoisin sauce, dill chips, slaw, and pickled veggies. The sauce was sweet with a slight tang, very interesting flavor in a good way. Chips were crunchy and fresh. I skipped over the slaw and pickled veggies, because neither were anything impressive. The brisket in the sandwich was good and tender, but I didn't care for the bread, which was rough and dry. The meal was overall good though. The service was acceptable. The restaurant is hidden in the new Bull Street district, so I wouldn't have ever known about this place if I hadn't heard about it through the grapevine. More...

Popped in here for some frosé and appetizers one sunny afternoon, and I can't wait to come back! Our server Wil was fantastic, super knowledgeable and made some wonderful recommendations. The frosé comes with fruit puree, but I opted for no puree for the second round since It was a little too sweet for my taste. The frosé with puree is good, I just prefer dryer drinks and the frosé alone is fantastic. We shared the buffalo chicken skins, and whoa, they were so tasty! Crispy and not too heavy on the seasoning so the chicken flavor still comes through. The dipping sauce was also delightful. Will be back for a full dinner soon and the bone marrow shot Wil couldn't stop raving about! More...

This was a great evening. Our server was awesome, he was attentive and took his time explaining menu options including the drink selection. My appetizer was the brussel sprouts, because...why not!? - and I enjoyed every flake of goodness. I also ordered the jackfruit with succotash. The succotash is out of this world! Side note: it's spicy! Never having jackfruit before, I loved this option. The marinade is a bit vinegary so if you like ketchup based bbq, skip it. The corn arepa was a bit thick; it lacks the traditional Latin American authenticity with it's thick dough. I ate half the dish with the succotash hoping to blend in some natural juices but it was rough; really rough. For me, the dish can be improved by having a fresh ingredient succotash instead of the canned concoction and thinner arepas. But what do I know, I just like to eat! More...

Saturday brunch was delicious and the environment was a perfect compliment to the beautiful weather. They opened the doors out to the patio area and we got fresh air while enjoying our food. I tried their brisket hash which had a perfect balance of ingredients with potatoes, brisket, brussel sprouts, goat cheese, peppers, fried onions and a delicious deviled egg sauce. The picture says it all and yes it was as delicious as it looks! And I always get the side of brussel sprouts whenever I eat here. I can't believe it took me so long to make it to Bone-in. When they had the food truck I was a regular. From salads to bbq they know how to make it. We started with the bone in nachos (or what ever they were called.). So good. I love banana peppers and don't think they get utalized enough. Bone-in knows how to use them! I had the smoked chicken, mac n'cheese balls, and brussels. The mac n' cheese were not my favorite, but someone at my table finished them. Brisket, pork, and chicken all great. Great find at the Fireflies Stadium!! Server John Michael was very knowledgeable and helpful. Nice to have ambitious and energetic server. Food was great. Love pulled pork sandwich with some burnt ends not the mushy/watery buffet style. Comes with house chips that are made there and have a dill taste. Very good and crispy. Also come with different sauces to dip in. Husband had jackfruit Barbeque sandwich; was very good. Got cinnamon roll bread pudding to go as we were stuffed. It too was amazing.
