I’ve known Joelle for about 7 years now. I stuck with her even after moving to NJ. It’s worth the trip to the city. She is very accommodating! She once stayed open during hurricane Sandy’s curfew so I could get my highlights for my engagement party. Also, came in on a day she doesn’t work for me cause it was close to my wedding date. Joelle is fantastic! HIGHLY recommend. I have been a client of Joelle’s for 10 years and will follow her always! She is a great stylist and colorist; I get a full head of highlights and always give her full autonomy and let her surprise me with my color. She never disappoints and always does an incredible job! Joelle takes the time to listen to your needs, helps navigate your thoughts and brings your wishes to fruition. She is extremely talented, professional and knowledgeable. 1) JANET IS A LIFE SAVER! She listens to exactly what you want but is always willing to share her knowledge and expertise if you ask. And, might I say her knowledge and expertise is superb. I am incredibly picky with my hair, I have long black wavy/curly thick hair. She has a great eye for coloring as well as shape and cut both if you style your hair or like to leave it natural. In the 4 years I’ve been getting my hair cut and colored by Janet... I was tempted 3 times to get my hair cut elsewhere ... every.single.time. I came back to Janet that week almost in tears, she calmly evaluated and went right to work fixing an insanely terrible haircut. I was never a fan of hair salons and frequented exclusively barber shops to get my haircut. There are those times when you decide you want to try something new and through referrals from friends decided to go to Bon Bon Salon on 40th and Lexington. To start I was impressed by how professional and very nice the staff were also by the setting and atmosphere of the salon. I was referred to Julian who from start gave me a warm greeting and asked the assistant to wash and condition my hair and was also offered coffee! My hairstylist Julian listened to the change I wanted to make and I felt extremely happy with the final results. Julian was very professional, friendly and very attentive to my concerns.
