I have been on the fitness/diet Yo-Yo for years. Now in my mid 50's and post menopause it felt like I was never going to be where I wanted to be. Once I joined Body Forge, my whole attitude about food and exercise changed. Not only am I healthier, I have lost almost all my extra weight that I have been caring for over 15 years! This is a great community of caring trainers and members. The class sizes are small and you receive a lot of individual attention. After 40 years away from weight lifting, I'm almost back to the levels I reached in college. My conditioning has improved and my tone is the best it has been in years. If you are suffering from debilitating back pain, please take the time to read my story. I was in the same boat that you are, thinking there was no way that lifting weights would get me out of my predicament, but it did. And it has done so much more!Two years ago, I was fortunate enough to find BodyForge through a client and the decision to work out there literally saved my career.I had been working so hard at making money to support me and my son (single mommy), entirely neglecting my body. Not only was I overweight, but I was doing nothing to develop my core, which was working overtime each day to hold me in the awkward position necessary all day every day while I was doing specialty, cosmetic tattooing in my studio.I had tried everything else (but weight training) to help: all kinds of diets, including several rounds of HCG, Massage, Chiropractic, laser, acupuncture, physical therapy, back stretches and more. When my MRI showed three bulging discs in my lower back, I thought I was doomed. I really had no idea what I was going to do, because my back was already snapping out every few months and I was down and unable to work for three weeks at a time.As you can imagine, being in constant pain, along with the fear that my back would slip out again, the last thing I ever wanted to do was start lifting heavy weights. But if you spend the time to do any basic research on lifting, it is, hands-down, the absolute best thing you can do for eliminating back pain forever and helping with so many other things.With nowhere else to turn, I humbled myself and went in and did their six week challenge. I didn't meet the goal we set, but I did lose 13 pounds and set myself on a path for personal empowerment and improvement.I have been at BodyForge now for two years. My back has not gone out one time since I started there! The trainers were very patient with me, showing me precisely how to lift weights to strengthen myself. BodyForge is the best place for someone who wants to get in shape using strength training in a class format with the best trainers who are caring and fun.  I never thought I could lift weights many years ago but this type of exercise is the best way to change your body and gain strength.  I highly recommend this place because of the owner, trainers, the people who attend, and the support to your success.  I started with the 6 week challenge to lose body fat and weight but keep going because I like the positive changes in my health and my attitude. I love this place! First, let me start by saying that this is an awesome place to workout, not your typical gym and definitely not a CrossFit location. Bodyforge has high-quality trainers that support you throughout all workouts. Anthony, Olivia, Chris, and Vinni are super knowledgable.  They are always checking you have the right form and help you achieve your goals.BodyForge is more of a semi-private training facility, where you typically have your own station so that you can work at your own pace (not circuit training). They have new workouts every day to ensure your body is constantly being challenged. What separate this gym from others (besides being semiprivate) is the community. A big family that pushes each other in a very healthy and friendly way. The support is amazing! They have a 6-week challenge, but I decided not to do it. I wanted something long term and I'm glad I found this place. My body fat percentage is constantly decreasing... Yay! Plus I have a ton of energy and I'm getting stronger every day!! More...

I joined this weight training gym 3 years ago. The same super nice owners and trainers are still here. I came back after year and I feel like I am home. I can honestly say 2018 was kind to me. I found Body Forge, started on 1/17/18, and with finding this gym, I found an amazing group of people who have been so supportive and loving. A family. I stepped out of my comfort zone, pushed myself and found physical and mental strength I never knew I possessed!Being a plus sized woman, I was really apprehensive about joining a gym, sticking out like a sore thumb and not knowing what to do. All of those fears went away the moment I stepped into Body Forge and met Vinny and his wife, Leslie. They were so incredibly welcoming and I found my worries easing away. I was set up with a meal plan, purchased some protein powder and I was on my way. Not going to lie, thought I wouldn't make it those first couple of weeks! I was sore! But seeing the numbers on the scale go down, having fun with my fellow 5am compatriots, being coached by some of the most amazing trainers ever, I stuck it out. I'm so glad I did. I have lost 55 pounds! And in the process gained confidence, mental and physical strength, an amazing group of friends, a knowledge of nutrition and so much more. I've been wanting to try this gym ever since I saw an old colleague of mine on FB who indicated she had amazing results. Well, that was YEARS ago and after seeing the BFF 6 week challenge keep popping up on my FB page I thought it was about time I gave it a try (since the weight on my scale kept going the wrong way). My schedule with 2 kids & work is insane, but it was about time I stopped with the excuses. They have a 5 am class and a 7pm class that were possibilities for my schedule. I dreaded both, but once I was there and started the workouts and I felt great. I ended up loving the 5 am class & after the early workout, I was energized for the rest of the day.  The trainers are amazing, funny, and encouraging. They definitely challenge you.  My favorite was when they would add more weight while you're not looking. Oh, and the music!! Love the variety and how it gets you pumped up. They do give  you a diet plan to follow and for me that was the hardest part because I love food, carbs especially! The whey shakes took some time getting used to, but Vinny suggested the chocolate peanut butter one and it was good. During the 6 week challenge you have to 'check-in' on FB. I hated this at first, but it's Vinny's way of accountability and making sure you showed up 3x's a week. AND it ended up being a great motivational tool for me as well because my friends would keep encouraging me along the way.  Today was my last day of the challenge and I'm happy to say I'm down 5.1% body fat and just over 11lbs. Great experience. They give you a workout and a meal plan that can put your body in a state that emphasizes weight loss and muscle gain.  I lost 20 pounds in the first six weeks. They give you tools and advice that will motivate you when you do not feel like continuing.  The best part is that you are a team and people look out for you to keep you on track to meet your goals.  I definitely recommend this gym.  The staff is very knowledgeable and will keep you injury-free, to the best of their ability. If you are looking to improve your overall health in a supportive environment Body Forge is for you! Meal plans, plus customized workout routines and accountability help you reach your goals. The trainers always demonstrate each exercise to ensure proper form. They also watch closely to make sure the proper weight is being used as well as correcting form to make sure no one gets hurt and get better results from the work put in. I have a health condition which limits me from laying flat (vertigo). The trainers provide me alternate exercises to work muscle groups in a different positions. What I love Most is every time I leave Body Forge I feel lifted up both physically and mentally because it is apparent that the staff cares and they want you to see results. Vinny provided the Mister with a customized nutritional plan to get his diet back on track. Everything was laid out for Breakfast, lunch and dinner with sample meal ideas based on the allowed daily allowance of proteins, fats, carbs and veggies. The diet allows a little bit of freedom while combining the goods that he is already eating. He also recommended specific supplements and proteins to enhance his workouts to be taken at specific times.  Could not of made it any easier for him. I just want to say, I'm so thankful for viewing their Facebook challenge ad when I did. I needed this change. The trainers are very motivational. Anthony rocks for pushing me a little more then the others, adding more weights when I'm not looking. Adan is great, I feel like he's got my back making sure I don't kill myself with weights. And Vinny is awesome, meal plan, help with figuring out what I can and shouldn't eat, he's the guy. I feel great in my skin after completing their six week challenge. My belly ring is back in and I'm ready for summer. I lost 12 pounds and about 5% of my body weight. I highly recommend this place. You'll just want to keep going at the end of your challenge. Great Gym. I completed my 6 week challenge and let the results speakWeight 154 lbs to 143.4 lbsBody Fat  30.6 % to  25.6 %Waist Line  36 3/4 inches to  33 1/4 inches This is my first one, and I excelled at it . This wouldn't have been possible without the duo - DON and ANTHONY BUCKS.. Big shout to both of them for motivating us and guiding our way through. The exercises were new everyday and it being a semi- private  with a mini group kindaa setting benefits us a lot and as rightly said, you keep on pushing yourself looking at others.Before the challenge, we used to play all kind of court games,do hikes etc.But this resistance training is totally a different ball game. I used to be on yo-yo diets for years and years but finally I decided to do it for the last time but in a right way. so I signed up for the 6 weeks challenge of dropping 5% body fat. and at the end of 6 weeks of transformation not just physically but mentally and emotionally I dropped 5.7% body fat it was a combination of being committed, showing up 5 days a week, following meal plan and a good team of mentoring by Vinny who always has an eye on everybody and makes sure that you are doing right,  Aleccia and Anthony who are the best motivator and they are always there with a big smile to make sure that you are doing everything in the right way with the right weight on.they showed me that no matter what's your fitness background, you can do better and better everyday and you can reach your goal by trusting you and your mentor advises.thank you guys for giving me a good feeling of accomplishment and show me a new life style. Today I successfully completed my 6 weeks challenge and I was able to lose 21 lb and 7% body fat. I couldn't be happier with my experience. BFF team are so amazing and supportive and treat you as a family member and always there for you to see what they can do to help you to achieve your goals , being successful and feel good about yourself. Before i joined  BFF , i always though being in shape is just for others and its not for me to feel good about myself but just happened  today and I'm still in shock thats me that i was able to reach my goals after many times tried in my life and never happened to lose more than 3-4 lbs . Words  can not express my feelings how happy and thankful to Anthony who always there to support me and any time i  need anything just  there for me and during  my challenge adjusted my meal plan couple times and worked out for me so well . I completed BodyForge's 6 week challenge and I didn't think I could be one of those people you see on fitness program ads with the before and after pictures. It was a tough 6 weeks, but with the trainers guidance in nutrition and working out, I hit my goals and more! I went 3 times a week to train for an hour, followed their dietary guidelines, and just stayed consistent with their advice. Did I feel like crap? Yes. I wanted to quit every week after week 3, but these trainers just won't let you give up, despite your excuses. Was losing 21.6lb overall, 5.6% body fat, and 6.5 inches (that's more than half a foot) worth it? Heck yes! Anthony and Aleccia trained me hard and I couldn't believe I was working out almost every muscle everyday. They utilize different techniques to confuse your muscles so you can keep working them out. Adan was well trained in therapy. Anytime my back felt sore/uncomfortable or when I had wrist pain, he'd guide me through a lot of really useful stretches. These trainers are LEGIT. Like Vinny and his staff continually reminded me, "getting there is the hardest part." Showing up was 80% of the battle, but when I did, they made sure I put in the work I needed to get those results. Just show up and TRUST THE PROCESS.I'd highly recommend this gym to anyone. I successfully completed my 6 week 5 % body fat loss challenge at BodyForge Fitness today and saying that these have been the most inspiring 6 weeks of my life is an understatement. I tried many gyms prior to this and always had a tough time dragging myself to the gym everyday. However, with BodyForge, I looked forward to working out. In my book, that is a HUGE win.Right from the sign up process, Vinny and the team at BodyForge were very professional and helpful. They were always available to help and answer questions. Vinny tailored the nutrition plan to suit my dietary restrictions (vegetarian) which made my meal plan manageable. I signed up for the six week challenge at BodyForge. I was very pleased with the entire experience. They have a great and delicious meal plan to follow. The workouts are intense but afterwards you can't help to feel amazing. The owner Vinny was always available to answer and food or workout questions, and his staff Anthony and Adon (night crew team) really were amazing. They walked you through every workout to make sure you were doing it correctly. Safety first! In my six weeks I lost 24 pounds, 7% body fat and 5 inches off my waist. Today I finished my 6 week challenge. I am beyond thankful and grateful to have found this amazing place. Vinny, Anthony and the rest of the team are truly amazing. I'm feeling healthier and looking better then ever. I started weighing 175 with a 32.9% body fat. Today I am at 153.8 and body fat dropped to 26.1% and have lost 5 inches off my waist. Typically a good product or service has a GREAT ingredient. In the case of BodyForge Lake Forest, the GREAT ingredient is the PEOPLE. 1. The patience to train someone that never lifted a weight. 2. Encouragement in words "we can do this" & Let's Try. 3. Direction on how to NOT hurt yourself when exercising but pushed me to add 5 or 10 more pounds when lifting or to do one more SLED. I even pushed 280 pound SLED...who would have thought I could do it...the BodyForge family believes in the challengers & members.Diet is a just a word: eating the right foods/portions/timing is the direction you get from the BodyForge team...the PEOPLE. The combination of showing up 5 days a week(not just 3) for training and eating right.... I lost the 5.7% body fat in 3 wks so I met the 6 wk challenge... so well ahead of schedule. At the 3 wk timeframe, I met with Vinny and decided on a reach goal for remaining 3 wks...that's what People/the product do. Help each other to be the best we can be. Conclusion: In 6 wks, I lost 19 pounds, 5 inches off my waist and 7.1% body fat but gained understanding that healthy living includes exercise and the right foods. I decided to do the 6 week 20lbs weight loss challenge after I had my first child. I had seen an ad on Facebook and I texted the owner Vinny. He promptly responded, I made an appointment at which I was informed of the program and I signed the contract to begin my challenge. I was confident that I would make my goal weight in the beginning but I quickly became worried that I wouldn't make it for some reason despite my results because I was breastfeeding. I attended classes 5 times a week at 8:30am. I missed one Saturday in 5weeks and a day and made my goal weight. During my time at BF, I learned proper form from the trainers Josh and Anthony. They were always there to explain, model and give feedback on my form or help me out with whatever I needed. They are all friendly and  knowledgeable about nutrition and are available to give advice or answer any questions. I truly enjoyed going to the gym during these last couple months and i should mention that i am not a fan of the gym. I will miss BF and look forward to my next maternity leave so that I can join again.If you are debating joining, you won't be disappointed. I decided to join BodyForge after hearing about it from a friend. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I fell in love with this place and the atmosphere. Everyone was so nice and I never felt nervous or embarrassed about working out. Both of the trainers, Josh and Anthony, were amazing. Even the owner, Vinny, was incredibly nice and encouraging. They were all supportive and motivational and made me push myself to my limit without hurting or overexerting myself. I ended up losing over 20 pounds and successfully completing the challenge. This guys are amazing!! Josh, Anthony and Vinny at BodyForge are unbelievable!!!I signed up for the six week challenge, and just finished today. I lost 10 pounds, over 7% body fat, 3 3/4 inches off my waist and 2 dress sizes. I have never felt better!! I love the way they push you to use your potential! I highly recommend Bodyforge to anyone who wants to make a serious change to their exercise and dietary routines. It started as a weight loss but it became life style change for me. I started my six week challenge at 156lbs, 14.9% body fat and waist of 32.25".  I finished at 144 lbs, 10.5% and a waist of 30. 5".  I signed up after seeing a Facebook ad and seeing that they not only have training sessions but a nutrition plan.  The nutrition plan came with a grocery list which made it easy to follow.  That is why I liked the program because of the grocery list.  Also every week they changed up the diet to better meet your goals.  Josh and Anthony were great trainers they made workouts enjoyable and gave great instruction.  They were very motivational.  The workouts had a good mix of weights as well as some intensity to get the heart rate going.  Even though I completed the challenge it has changed my lifestyle, this program has help me eat healthier and to make better food choices. My husband and I completed the Six-Week Challenge together at Body Forge. I have lost 5.9% body fat and feel stronger and more energized. Unlike other competing gyms, Body Forge includes a customized week-to-week meal plan to complement your workouts and offers classes at various times. This is especially convenient for the busy working professional or parent. No two workouts are the same. Each workout class is designed differently. Josh, Anthony and Vinny make you feel like you are a part of their fitness family! At the end of each workout, members gather with their hands in the middle chanting, "1-2-3 Challenge!" BodyForge fitness is such an awesome gym! My wife and I just finished a 6 week challenge and we loved every minute of it! I lost 21 pounds and 7% body fat ! This gym is for everyone from the beginner to the extreme athlete. It's nice to be able to walk into the gym and not have to think about what workout you will be doing, the workouts are  on the board and Josh and Anthony (the trainers) are there to push and motivate you! Everyone at the gym is friendly and you never have that feeling that you are being judged it's a safe and friendly workout environment! My husband and I joined the 6 week body transformation challenge at BodyForge. The trainers are friendly, helpful and motivational! They set a goal for us and mine was to lose 5% body fat and by following their meal plan and workout regiments I surpassed my goal! I lost 6 ponds and 5% body fat. This gym is for everyone from the beginner to the expert. The workouts are challenging and they kick your butt in only the best way! To say that my 6-week challenge at Body Forge exceeded my expectations doesn't even come close to conveying how much I love this gym, the trainers, and the family of members that call this place their home. My experience with Body Forge started with a simple Facebook ad that said "TAKE THE 6 WEEK CHALLENGE We're looking for 20 MEN who are looking to transform their bodies & lives in 6 weeks for FREE..." too good to be true right? Free? I dunno man! I went to the website and filled out the info form and within 10minutes I got a call from the owner of Body Forge, Vinny! This initial interaction is what really piqued my interest, just how fast he was to get back to me and it wasn't some sales guy, it was Vinny, the owner of the gym. We scheduled my initial consultation for the same day at 5:30 pm on a Friday.I was skeptical at the beginning of our meeting but that skepticism quickly went away as I started to talk to Vinny about my medical situation and telling him about my personal goals and desires for joining a gym. My initial intentions for joining a gym weren't to get ripped, I don't really need a beach body, my reason for joining the gym was my health. As a type 2 diabetic, my blood glucose levels were really high and I needed to get them down so that I wouldn't be required to take insulin to regulate my glucose levels. I also really hated taking so many medications; they're chemicals that my body shouldn't have to take in all the time so the less of those the better. I explained to Vinny my reasons for wanting to get in the gym and he heard me out and assured me that the challenge would be something that would help me reach my goals if I stuck with the program and diet plan that the gym laid out. We took my measurements and did an initial weigh in and I was off to talk to my girlfriend to see what she thought of it.That night, after talking it over with my girlfriend, I texted Vinny and made a decision that would change my life, "I'm In". Vinny texted back a few minutes later Super excited and we met up the next day to finish signing all the paperwork to join the challenge.  At the meeting where I signed the paperwork, Vinny provided me with a shopping list that guides you through a pretty great challenge meal plan (trust me, the food isn't boring and you still get all the flavor you want) and we tailored it to fit my specific needs. We put my name up on the board with my initial weight and body fat percentage and I started my journey as a CHALLENGER at Body Forge!In the 6 week challenge the trainers Josh, Anthony, and Vinny really work with you on your form to make sure you don't hurt yourself, help you grow through the wall of transformation and build your character with guidance through the trainer challenges to help you reach your goals. I can't say enough how much these guys and the fit family at Body Forge REALLY CARE about seeing you transform and work with you to reach your goals.As for my diabetes and my health I started at Body Forge with an A1C of 12.3, that's REALLY HIGH with a blood glucose average of about 350 (YIKES! no bueno)! With the help of the trainers and encouragement from fellow challengers and members of body forge I kept going and pushed myself to become stronger and healthier. I am now at a 7.8 A1C with an average blood glucose level of 165 and a noticeable difference in my clothes (they're falling off!) and body!I cannot recommend Body forge enough if you are interested in becoming healthier, stronger or just want to become more than what you are. I did the 6 week challenge in September/October. The meal plan was reasonable but definitely challenging. Get ready to do some meal prep to keep from slipping up during the week! I honestly really loved the workouts. I've never done any type of weightlifting before but Anthony and Josh are great at explaining every exercise, helping you get the form right and will add on more weight when they know you can handle it. My friend a I wanted to do a work out together, and she suggested we try or the six week challenge here at body forge. At 5'7", 195lbs. , Josh set my goal for 20 pounds. I had to go in at least 3 days a week and follow the meal plan they give (menu of proteins, veggies, carbs, and fats). I followed the meal plan and worked out about 4-5 days a week. I lost 10 pounds by the end of the 2nd week. By the end of the 6th I was down 25 pounds! I totally beat my goal. At week 8 I'm down 30 pounds. I'm losing a little slower because I decided to loosen up my meal plan a bit. I'd agree when people say 80% of weight loss is how you eat. Working out is a supplement to your diet, and I aimed to burn about 200-300 calories per day I worked out. The money is definitely a big motivator. If you eat a lot of junk and fast food like me, and you commit to the meal plan, the first 3 weeks are going to be hell. I was irritable and whined a lot. Hot dogs and chili fries, burritos and tacos called my name all day, but I kept that money in mind. At week 4 was when it started to get easier and I started feeling better about what I was eating.As for the actual work outs, the guys keep you moving, and make sure you're pushing your limits. Make sure you listen to your body. Don't sacrifice proper form for higher weight, so you don't get injured. There's a big difference between a good burn for a couple days and an injury for 3+ weeks, and it is not worth it.I'd highly recommend this to my friends who want to lose. The meal plan is everything, though. You will fail if you think working out will be enough.TL;DR: lost 25 pounds, beat my 20 lb goal.  Follow the meal plan! More...

I can't even begin to properly express how wonderful this gym and the staff are here. I took their six week 5% body fat challenge after seeing an ad on Facebook and I am beyond thrilled with the results. I have worked out a lot in my life and I stupidly thought that I knew what I was doing before going through this program. Between my father and football coaches I learned about traditional body building exercises but I cam to find out that my form was way off on a lot of things. Anthony and Josh were able to guide me through small tweak and changes that really improved my strength and physique. The real game changer that BodyForge offers is their knowledge of nutrition. The meal plan that they set forth is what really got me to reach the goals that we had set. I'll be honest, at first I thought I knew my body better and wasn't as strict to what they set out for me, and it showed on the scale and in my body fat. Josh and Vinny saw this and had me made a few subtle changes and within two weeks I was able to really see the changes I needed. This is a first class gym and everyone that attends is wonderful as well. So now I'm sitting at a total of 14.6 lbs lost and a total of 6.9% body fat down after my time with them. This place is great. I did the 6 week 20lb challenge.The trainers there will push you to your limits. When you think you can't do anymore they'll come by and put more weight on your bar. They are always encouraging you to push yourself and find new limits. I never left there once feeling like I had anything left in the tank and it felt great. They also gave me an awsome meal plan that was super easy to follow and honestly wasn't that bad. When I finished there I had lost 21lbs and 7 percent body fat in 6 weeks. I would definitely recommend BFF to any one looking to get back into shape or to anyone looking to get a really good workout. The staff there are very knowledgeable and friendly. More...

My 6 week challenge at BodyForge Fitness was one of the most rewarding things that I have done for myself. Prior to signing up for my challenge, I had never even attempted to lift a free weight, let alone barbells. Actually, I had never had a fitness or nutrition regimen in my life. Having preexisting back injuries from a car accident, I was nervous about what lifting would mean for my spine. I was absolutely shocked by how quickly I became comfortable with lifting. Anthony and Joshua did an amazing job of ensuring that everyone had proper form, and pushed us to challenge ourselves by adding weight when they saw us getting comfortable. I grew to genuinely enjoy weight training, and looked forward to each new class. The trainers, owners, members and other challengers created such a unique community of support. I initially had some nervousness about not knowing what I was doing and having no experience with weights. I quickly came to learn that everyone in there was rooting for each other's success and growth. No one was watching other people and judging the amount of weight they lifted or their form (except the trainers who are there to help), because they are focused on their own workout. I even had a couple of occasions where members offered me tips based on what has helped them to be successful.The nutrition portion of the program was the hardest part for me. I am not a skilled cook, and so in the beginning I ate a lot of very dry chicken... Eventually my fiance and I found our groove and mastered a couple of cooking techniques (and meal prep!) which made our very specific meals easier to create. (For any unskilled chef's taking this program, learn to love your broiler for fish, and don't forget to flatten out your chicken breasts before cooking). A big thank you to the owner, Vinny, who helped set my fiance and I up with goals that were realistic for our body types. My fiance did a 10 lb gain and I was assigned a body fat percentage loss. We both passed our challenges with flying colors, and I am so excited about our new wedding ready bodies. Now that the challenge is over, we have had to take a break to use our very limited time off to finish planning the upcoming wedding, and already miss these classes and our fit family. I just finished my 6 week challenge. I lost 7% body fat, 14 pounds and 5" around my waist.  I loved going to Body Forge Fitness to work out.  The trainers, Josh Moz and Anthony Buck are very attentive making sure you lifted correctly and used proper form.  They are extremely motivating and encouraged "one more rep" to obtain gains.  I have arthritis and the trainers gladly modified the exercises so I could work the targeted muscles everyone else was working on. I struggled a little with my diet in the middle of the challenge and Josh took the time to get me back on track.  I highly recommend Body Forge Fitness to anyone that wants to put in the work to obtain results in a motivating environment. Summary: The program and staff are great and get you to your goal. There is no magic pill here, just hard work and dedication that get you long lasting results. I lost 23lbs and 11.2% body fat in just 6 weeks!I came into BodyForge being dragged by my wife to do a 6 week challenge, my goal was to lose 20lbs in 6 weeks. At the beginning I was greeted by Josh to explain the program and do my weight in, I instantly felt motivated by him that losing the 20lbs (which seemed impossible before) was achievable if I stuck to his plan. The first day I went to workout I couldn't even complete the workout because I was so out of shape. However, the trainers at BodyForge are there everyday to assist you in meeting your goal, whether it's Vinny correcting your form so you don't get hurt, Josh pushing you to do one more rep, or Anthony shaking his head in disapproval at you for using less weight than you are able to lift :). These guys are there for you every step of the way and adapt your program as you go. The program includes a meal plan that is adapted to you and the progress you are making. The meal plan seemed like the most challenging part of this but is actually doable, they give you a list of foods that are allowed and that becomes your grocery list, helping you choose wisely whenever you go into a store and making it easier to choose what to meal prep. After 6 weeks I can say that I lost 23lbs and 11.2% body fat, but most importantly I feel much better. Before BodyForge my life could be summed up by working, eating fast food, and Netflix and chill. Bodyforge came about at the perfect time! I met Vinny and Josh at a booth in a wellness fair at work and from the beginning they were knowledgeable gents! I started my body challenge at 12.5% body fat and was looking to get leaner and lower my cholesterol per my doctor. I wasn't too convinced that this would do much but decided to give it a shot. I would come into the gym religiously 4 times a week and sometimes even saturday. Instruction on the exercises were detailed and challenging for all levels. From beginning til the end i was pushed and loved it. I finally finished my challenge at 7% body fat and all lipid levels returned to normal. Biggest piece of advice i would give anyone is these guys know what they're doing, trust in the process/diet and Josh and Vinny will def get you to the finish line. I evaluated a number of gyms before selecting BodyForge Fitness, and I have to say, I did not make the wrong decision. I went into their 6-week challenge to lose 5% body fat. I wasn't sure I could do it, but I was determined to look better for an upcoming vacation. Vinny and his team were completely confident I could lose the 5%, plus more. During my consultation, I had the chance to observe a class in session, and immediately knew it was what I wanted from a gym.  They give you a personalized meal plan that is easy to follow. I was diligent about meal prepping twice a week which made sticking to the diet crazy easy--not to mention the food selection is good and gives you a lot of flexibility. Next, the workouts. A one-hour workout up to 5 days a week. I was not one to be excited to work out. I was excited to eat donuts...I was excited to drink margaritas...I was not excited to work out. Wow...how that has changed. I can't believe how much I look forward to these workouts. They are challenging, but not intimidating. The camaraderie with classmates is fantastic. The trainers all know you by name, know what you're capable of, and make sure you push yourself in the best way possible. They show you every lift, every class, with proper form. They coach you if your form is off, and despite there being more students than trainers, it ALWAYS feels like you have a dedicated trainer right there with you. When I signed up for this challenge I wanted to look good for vacation, I never expected I would WANT to continue after my challenge was completed. Now, I can't imagine not staying with BodyForge. Shortly after the New Year, my husband and I saw an advertisement for a Free 6 Week Fitness Challenge on Facebook. Knowing we had nothing to loose, we signed up. Little did I know that this 6 Week Challenge would, cheesy as it may sound, change my life. Just to give you a little perspective here, prior to Body Forge, my exercise consisted of the occasional walk from the couch to get water, vacuuming the apartment, and maybe if I was feeling up to it, joining my husband in P90X Yoga - which maybe only happened 3-4 times a year. I associated cardio with pain, and I thought that weight lifting was something guys do to get buff. I previously avoided weight lifting because I had no idea how to do it, and more importantly, I was scared that lifting weights would cause me to bulk up. I didn't think that as a petite woman, weight lifting could have such an impact on my life, and I definitely didn't expect to love it as much as I did. What I love most about Body Forge hands down were the trainers. The trainers there are absolutely incredible. Josh, Vinny, and Anthony made the entire experience fun, and there was no doubt in my mind that they all genuinely cared and invested in my progress. The classes were small enough that you felt like you were getting the one on one attention that you needed. As a newbie to weight lifting this was incredibly reassuring to me. They took the time to make sure I had proper form, so that I wouldn't hurt myself, and they pushed me when they knew I could handle it. They always took the time to answer my questions and address any concerns I had, even when that meant staying after class to chat. They were very generous with their time in and outside of the classroom. In my time at Body Forge, I dropped 10 pounds and 7% body fat. For the first time since high school I can fit into a size 24 waist pant, and I actually have abs! I couldn't be more happy with the results. Sure, this plan did require discipline, especially if you are not used to eating healthy. However, they give you a lot of options, so you can cater it to your own tastes. If you are ready to make a commitment to see your body change, I couldn't think of a better place to do it than Body Forge. I never thought I would be able to equate working out with FUN, but the trainers at Body Forge make working out FUN. Thank you so much for all of your support and encouragement during my challenge.
