My friend and I came here because it was her last day in Tucson before returning to the East Coast.  She recommended this place because she wanted tacos.  I can never say no to tacos.  You order at the front, they give you a number and bring you your food.  I don't remember what she got, but I got the octopus taco, the Dan Gibson, and the chicken.  We both got a sangria.  The sangria was fruity and had a punch.   Oh my god.  I thought those tacos were amazing.  They were flavorful, tender, and pretty filling.  I really liked them.  I would definitely go back.  The only complaint I have is the table we sat at had a bar at the bottom so we had to sit slanted to the side. We're a vegetarian/vegan couple (one of each) so dining out is a menu hunt. We stopped at Boca after a Meet Me At Maynard walk as Boca is one of the "Meet Me" Restaurants. These restaurants offer a discount on Mondays and a monthly gift certificate for the Meet Me free raffle.We found easy free street parking on 4th Ave. and walked into Boca. The server filled us in on their fast casual ordering process, the manager filled her in on the Meet Me 10% discount program and we set in checking the Veggie Tacos part of the menu.I ended up with vegan Veggie and a Tofu, she got two Veggies with cheese. They were served with a tray of four sauces, we used up three of the four, they were that good!The Veggies were fantastic, loaded with their sauted mix of mushrooms, onions, serrano peppers, cilantro and melted cheese (or not)! The honey mustard marinated grilled tofu was wonderful! Two tacos plus a orders of rice and beans were a big meal, we left totally satisfied with the food.We'll be back to try the other veggie offerings! More...

Ok, here's a place that earns its 5 star rating. It's excellent!We began with Guacamole Duo, a huge plate of red chips with 2 types of guac Plus 4 dipping sauces. Ooooooooo....Next came the Elote. A ear of corn covered with cream, cheese and chipotle. You have to carve the kernels off the cob - part of the experience. It's just delicious. Then tacos showed up. I had the Cameron, the Mole de Pollo and the Macho. My fav was the cameron and its mouth watering bite after bite. The mole de pollo is richer and has a wonderful mole sauce mixed with the chicken. Ooooooo... the Macho was good, flavors were great but...it had a huge pepper in it and the beef was chewy. (Cut the pepper into strips? The food at Boca is awesome. There is a variety of salsas to choose from with a wide range of heat levels. Their guac is very well seasoned as well. There is a great balance of flavor all around. But one of my favorite things was to watch Cheif Maria, who is obviously very talented in the kitchen come out and not only serve the food sometimes but also bus a table or just wipe off a table for a customer. Tried this place for the first time tonight after asking around about good tacos! When we first walked in we enjoyed the comfortable, casual atmosphere, and the fact that there were other people dining on a Monday night at 9pm! Good sign of good food!!! The menu is a little confusing, as for sauces, and what not, but figured it out rather quickly! We tried a couple unique mescal shots and ordered 5 tacos to share! Our food came up pretty quickly, and they were DELICIOUS!!!! Wow!!! I was very impressed with the flavor profiles of the tacos! They were $3.50-&5 each but well worth it! Loaded with flavor! We will definitely return to Boca again! Our only complaint hence the 4 stars was the service, they weren't terrible, but not real helpful, and also not the most friendly-but we got what we asked for and enjoyed ourselves! More...
