This is so cool! I got a promotion to come try this place out and I was so happy to learn it exists! If you're ever in need of makeup for a special event or occassion how perfect and convenient this place is to get what you need at a good price! I literally love Blushington! I've gone there to get my makeup done for every shoot and I've always left so impressed. I love all the girls who work there- they are so kind and smart and full of good tips. My makeup was always done beautifully and I've learned a ton along the way. I took a makeup lesson with a friend on 2/16 and our experience was nothing short of amazing! I had Yasmine who I learned is both a makeup artist and esthetician. She really took her time to explain why she was using each product on me, as the thought at Blushington is that makeup is not one size fits all and your routine should be bespoke to your skin type, face shape, etc. She showed me on one side of my face how to apply the product and allowed me to try on the other side, while assuring me she could do both sides at any point in case I didn't feel quite there yet. I walked away feeling more confident in my ability, and with new products I otherwise never would have tried. On top of it, my look truly matched the inspiration photo I brought in. I can't wait to go back to Yasmine for an application before a night out!Facilities are super clean and modern. Makeup artists spray everything with alcohol to avoid cross contamination, and other artists are encouraging and sweet when they pass by. One of my best NYC experiences to date! How have I not known about this place?! A friend and I were going to an awards ceremony and she suggested we get our hair done at Drybar and makeup done at Blushington. I've had my makeup done at Sephora before and came out looking crazy. My friend assured me if wouldn't happen at Blushington, these guys are pros and she was right! I believe my makeup artist was Tiffsny. She was super sweet, listened to my concerns and made me look fantastic! It was still me but better. No Geisha or clown face. I'm a regular here! No matter who does my makeup, they do an excellent job! Everyone who works there is really nice and helpful! They sell a lot of great products but definitely don't pressure you to buy any. Appointment generally start on time which is nice because I usually have somewhere to go! Parking is really easy- it's right behind the Blushington and Drybar. Overall the experience is really great and it's a good deal for the price.  I always leave really happy with the makeup look! I've been meaning to find a good place on west side that does eyelash extensions that don't charge a ridiculous amount, and I'm so glad to have found Blushington! It's right next to sweetgreen and valet parking is only $2 with validation. Lee is the esthetician who did my eyelashes and it came out so natural and pretty! I also got my brows waxed here, and Lee is so detail oriented with her work. They are offering free 1 on 1 makeup class till end of the year - I would definitely be coming back!! More...

I don't wear very much makeup and so when I had my make-up done for my engagement shoot (by someone I was thinking about using for my wedding), my fiance looked at me in terror. It was too much, it wasn't me, and it wasn't who he fell in love with. I couldn't stand the thought of him looking at me that way in our first look on the wedding day. So with two weeks left until my wedding, the hunt was on for an artist that would give me a natural look that would hold up in photos and the August Agoura Hills sun. I booked a trial session with Maria. She listened to my requests, offered her suggestions, and was beyond patient with me through the process. She checked in with me along the way, starting with the bare minimum and then applying more until we hit the sweet spot. Maria, without a doubt, made my wedding day. I look like "me" in all my wedding photos. I was glowing and so visibly confident in my skin - a stark difference to my engagement shoot photos. There's not a thing about my make up I would change. I went to Blushington for a 1-hour MAKEUP 101 class. I booked online a day in advance using their online system and it was super easy. When I showed up, the receptionist offered me water or champagne. I asked for water and it came in a glass jar with a handle, which was cute.The makeup artist seated me on time and we began the class. Her name was Lee and she was a great teacher. I had asked for an everyday makeup look and I think we went beyond what would be everyday for me, but I think that was necessary to give me a chance to learn the most makeup tips possible. The artists at Blushington are all professionally licensed makeup artists. I really liked how the look came out! The lighting in the facility shows up a bit strange on camera, so I took a picture of the makeup after I got home. The best part is that I now know how to do most of it myself moving forward. As a note, you also get 10% off product purchases if you take the makeup class. I ended up getting a Sara Happ lip scrub. It's vegan and cruelty free, and tastes like peaches. It is not necessary to buy products, however - just an added benefit if you are interested.Overall, I had a great time at the class, enjoyed the teacher, liked how my makeup came out, and learned a lot about how to apply my own makeup. Olivia did a really great job on a Makeup 101 session for two people. We were very happy with our looks! We wanted different styles, and she understood and executed what we each preferred perfectly. The products used were great (a mix of products I am both familiar and unfamiliar with) - even for our sensitive skin types. Olivia was not at all pushy about products, but was informative about them. They kept track of everything used and will keep it on file so we can always call and find out what they used or buy it there later. P.S. Had such a great experience at Blushington. Had my makeup done for a wedding by Tina R. She knew exactly what I wanted without having to overly explain and picked shades that looked great in photos. I ended up buying both the lip gloss and tinted moisturizer she used and am still loving both products. She even showed me how to use a beauty blender and my life is forever changed. As Blushingtons  PROUD TO BE  1st customer (before they were officially open) I will always return.   I was too far away this weekend to make it work.  MY  loss.   I always love the products I FIND THEM USING ON ME. I was just curious about this place since it recently opened. The atmosphere is nice and bright. They offered a beverage upon arrival from a choice of tea/coffee/champagne/rose. My girl was very nice and courteous but it seemed like she needed a lot of direction from me to get an idea of what I wanted. I requested a cut crease with winged eyeliner. She showed me an array of palettes to choose from including Stila and Jouer. It seems as though they do not have to pick from like most makeup artists do. Every station seems to have the same products which are Stila, Jouer, Kevin Aucoin, Becca, Bioderma, Trestique, and Girlactick. They are sort of limited to these brands, versus an independent makeup artist that have a whole kit of different brands. These brands are all very subdued in their color range and many of makeup essentials such as Morphe/Inglot/MAC that you see in a makeup artist's kit are not found here. So you are kind of limited to a more natural look here because of the kind of products they carry. My artist told me Blushington is more for a working person looking for a natural look. I can totally see this because my makeup didn't really seem out of the ordinary. If your looking for a dramatic look, I would probably gear towards going to a MAC counter as they are more adventurous. I felt as though I could do a pretty similar look to the one I got myself since I have a lot of products at home that are comparable. I didn't really end up with a cut crease with dramatic winged eyeliner, but it did end up nice but it would be hard for a person to tell that I got my makeup done by a professional versus doing it myself.  I'm not really sure if I would return here for a makeup application, but the facials may be worth a try. It was a fun experience and it was interesting to see how it all works and if you're looking for something very minimal/natural this is a good place. They do sell everything they apply to you which is probably another reason why they don't supplement their products with other products not found in the store. Blushington makes me the most feel like the most beautiful girl. Look forward to every appointment. My favorite girls are Alanis, Ilana and Lauren. You pay a pretty penny but they make you look flawless. Their monthly membership is $299 for literally being able to come in and get your makeup done everyday. After a few months of construction, Blushington is finally open and I am so glad they are. I had actually never heard of them and skeptically wondered how another beauty retail location might do in an endless supply of them along San Vicente. Well, I hope they do well because I had a fantastic experience and plan to go back...often.I was in a bind the other day and needed to get my makeup done for an event. They were so friendly and accommodating. Customer service goes a long way and we don't always see that in these parts. Katelyn did a great job on my makeup and man was she fast with the lashes. They also sell great beauty lines that aren't sold everywhere. A serious problem to your credit card bill when you like the make-up being used and it's readily available for purchase. I appreciated that Katelyn was not focused on up-selling me anything. I hate going anywhere for a service that becomes more about the sale of the products used than the actual service itself. Katelyn was more focused on the work she was doing and making sure I was happy with the makeup.  I noticed the products on my own and as any woman who loves make up would do, I browsed and shopped. Everyone in the store was super helpful, but not pushy.  They are pretty reasonably priced for the service they provide. Sure you could go to Sephora or a make-up counter for free, but I really enjoyed the experience. I did a full set of eye lashes with Christine and they look fabulous! No giraffe in sight. Just pretty natural lashes. Like I'm wearing mascara. This was my first time doing it and I'll be back. Went to an event here with some girlfriends understanding it's like a dry bar but for make up, figured I'd go along for the ride and was really happy I did. The customer experience was really great, everyone was really helpful. I don't typically get make make up done because I typically like to stick with my routine but my artist listened to what felt like "me" and did an excellent job.
