I was visiting from out of town and taken to Blue's Egg since it's the most popular breakfast joint in Milwaukee- I was shocked when I checked and it had over 1500 Yelp reviews! We lucked out that it wasn't too busy on a Saturday so we only had to wait about 10 minutes.  Even though the wait wasn't long, the parking lot was already packed so be prepared.My boyfriend got the Hoppel Poppel and he said it was really good. We also shared the Stuffed Pulled Ham hash browns and they were delicious. I had the Far-Flung wrap and it was good, not the best breakfast burrito I've had but still tasty. On a side note, they should definitely rename this the Far-Flung breakfast burrito, as it's a little confusing. The normal hash browns were just okay.Overall, I'd come back if I'm in the area again. Came on a really busy Saturday morning but the wait didn't feel very long. We were told about 20/30 minutes but got seated in 10, plus they have coffee and a place to sit while you wait. We ordered and got our food very quickly. A ton of options and everything looked good. I got stuffed hash browns and a pancake side and my sister got a breakfast burrito with hashBrowns. Visiting from out of town, and with a party of 5 had a small wait. Staff gave good food recommendations and were incredibly friendly. The grown up coffee was fabulous and their gluten selection was AMAZING. The biggest problem is everyone loves this place so the wait can sometimes take forever. The food was flavorful, amazing combinations. Blues egg is a Milwaukee classic and for a reason. The best part was having one their Blue's Bloody Mary with a Miller shorty chaser. For a classic brunch spot, Blue's Egg is a great staple. Fun drinks and all the breakfast classics. This isn't your overly stylized brunch spot crammed into an old house, the layout leaves space between tables ensuring your conversation isn't being overheard by the table next to you. Excellent local eatery. Specialty is the hash browns....nice and golden crispy on topped. Always busy so plan your visit well. Other features on menu, all are good. Have not had a bad meal yet. Open only for breakfast and lunch, closes at 2 pm i think. Well worth the trip. Good staff. Nice environment. Coffee always good and while you are waiting you can pour yourself a cup and they will add it on to the bill when you get seated. Having that coffee before you get seated is really, really nice. To start off, I have to echo the suggested made by my fellow Yelping friend Warren, and say: Join the waitlist on the Yelp app and save some of your precious time! Exactly.  There is always a long wait at Blues Egg on the weekends and for good reason.  The breakfasts are always delicious and the atmosphere is that of a lively diner. I love sitting at a table for breakfast here, people watching, and then stuffing my face with a Hopple Popple, monkey bread with that dipping sauce, and hot coffee.No breakfast is worth waiting 1+ hours for, so why not check in on the Yelp app, get a shower, get dressed, and head on over.  Your table will be ready when you arrive.Another Pro Tip:  Wait is too long at Blues Egg?  Across the street is Benji's...another solid breakfast spot. The best place for brunch in Milwaukee. The wait can be long but so worth it. Creative lattes, baked goods, alcoholic brunch drinks like bloodies, mimosas, and more. What more could you ask for?! Get the Monkey Bread with the Crunk sauce, their hash browns are some of the best we've ever had - crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and generous portions. Blue's Egg is one of my favorite brunch spots in Milwaukee. The food is great, and the stuffed hash browns...a must! They also have great drinks! However, the wait on weekends is typically insanely long and they don't allow you to make reservations so if you have a party larger than 2-4, you'll likely be waiting forever. Wow, I must really like it here because this was my 12th check in.  This place gets very busy and it is not unusual to wait for an hour or more, Do not worry my yelp friends you can check in from your app at home and hold your place in line. Freshlyh brewed coffee is available while you wait, just keep your cup and the server adds it yo the billWe started our breakfast with a monkey bread​ pastry with​ a crunk sauce for Dunkin​.  Theur monkey​ bread is​ just​​ a pull a part pastry made for​dunking​​ in the crunk sauce.  The sauce is basically icing with a little bourbon​ mixed inNow for the main course.  There are​ so many combinations​ I couldn't​ possibly​ list them. What a great breakfast place. Stopped in while in town for good food and somewhere to work on my laptop.  The waitress was great and so was the menu.  I love that they brought me out grapes to snack on.  I ordered the root veggie hash and a side of chicken  chorizo sausage.  The sausage def has a kick so if you don't like spicy don't order.  I loved the hash and they cooked the poached eggs perfectly (something that I can be a tough critic about).  Menu has a ton of selections and I believe anyone can find something to eat here. Pro tip: Join the waitlist on the Yelp app and save some of your precious time!After quite some time in the North Shore, today was my maiden voyage to the eastern location of this venerable Milwaukee breakfast and brunch spot. Known equally well for its wait times and excellent food, BE did not disappoint overall.The wait time was less than quoted and Sophia was friendly and accommodating. My Lemon Cheesecake French Toast was massive and came with bacon on the side JUST the way I like it, which is rare for most restaurants. Asking for chewy bacon usually nets me a puzzled look or at least a frown, but that was not the experience this time around and I appreciate it! The only downfall of the dish was the granola that was included. I suspect it was to add some crunch but it didn't really jive with the rest of the dish.I really wanted to give five stars for the experience but the latter half of the meal didn't stick the landing in terms of service. My daughter and I enjoyed a hearty and especially delicious breakfast early on a Saturday morning. We were seated right away and quickly got our hot beverages and a starter monkey bread with hot caramel sauce. Well worth the extra calories!  We shared a classic Eggs Benedict with their amazing pulled ham and homemade English muffin (really special!).  Not to mention, the crispy, buttery hash browns.
