We, here at BlueTac, see ourselves as an augmented force to the sometimes-limited capacity of our police departments. We are first responders, difference makers, protectors of the public and our civil way of life and business.
We stand on the front lines in a war against violence, theft, human trafficking, disorder, trespassing, and vandalism. We are agents of our clients, trained and equipped to uphold their rights against such violations to their freedom from fear and their pursuit of happiness as a business owner and/or citizen. Many of our guards are former police and military trained personnel, some are heroes, but all are willing to place themselves in harm’s way to protect the homes, property, lives, and livelihood of those we serve.
For the reasons above, we hold high standards of character, conduct, appearance, and performance. We will not waiver these standards under the pressures of popularity, convenience, opportunity, or intimidation.
What inspired you to start your own business?
BlueTac was founded by owner, Colton Kuhn, after a decade of working as a security professional for companies who consistently provided sub standard quality of protection to their client. With a passion for “Protecting What Matters” Colton set out to build a company with a quality first approach and a zero shortcuts policy. Colton says, “I have a passion for reducing the crime and fear people experience in their daily lives and business. This requires security professionals who are as dedicated to the cause as they are a paycheck. With the right people, not just anyone who could fog a mirror, we will invest in them, their training, and their equipment to produce the most trained, equipped, and highly prepared security professionals in the industry.” Colton’s commitment to these principles have led to what is now the BlueTac Company Creed below:

Unarmed Security Professionals
BlueTac Unarmed Security Professionals are applicably trained, equipped, and prepared for the security conditions of the posts for which they are assigned. Their BlueTac Ranks may include:
- Sentry,
- Sentinel, and
- Officer.
Their training certifications include at the very minimum:
- Pre-Assignment/Post Assignment
Depending on the Location Threat Condition Class, their training may also include:
- Advanced De-escalation and Verbalization,
- OC (Pepper Spray),
- Taser,
- Hand Cuffs, and
- First Aid and CPR
Their ongoing training, attitude, reliability, and professionalism is unprecedented.
Armed Security Professionals
Like our Unarmed Security Professionals, BlueTac Armed Security Professionals are applicably trained, equipped, and prepared for the security conditions of the posts for which they are assigned. Their BlueTac Ranks may include:
- Specialist,
- Operative, or
- Field Training Operative (FTO).
Their training certifications include at the very minimum:
- Pre-Assignment / Post Assignment,
- Advanced De-escalation and Verbalization,
- OC (Pepper Spray),
- Taser,
- Hand Cuffs,
- First Aid and CPR, and
- Firearm.
Depending on the Location Threat Condition Class, their training certifications may also include:
- Force-on-Force,
- Active Shooter Response, and
- Field Training Operative.
Our security professionals who specialize in armed protection carry out their duties with a deep conviction for the value of all life and the strict application of the rules of deadly force. Their ongoing training, attitude, reliability, and professionalism sets the standard in the security industry.
Personal Protection Services (Bodyguard)
BlueTac’s Personal Protection Services (Bodyguard) provides personal protection for our clients during specific hours or around the clock, on specific days or 7 days per week. We keep our client safe from physical threats like assault, theft, kidnapping, or assassination during various evolutions including travel, events, or just plain life.
Personal Protection Services may also include protecting our client’s belongings and privacy. It often includes driving our clients from place to place, screening the area for any threats, and guarding against security concerns wherever our clients need to go. In some cases, our Protection Services include a larger security team, in which case we may be responsible for managing traffic, handling specific tasks or personal items, or securing a large area indoors or out for events or general public exposure.
There are many different environments in which our clients find the need for Personal Security. For this reason, the training and equipment level of our Security Professionals assigned to each client depends on the particular type of work and expected threat conditions. In some cases, the protection needed may involve being armed or dressing in street clothes to avoid attention to find and eliminate potential security risks.
Our clients include families, prominent individuals, celebrities, diplomats, and politicians. You don't have to be a celebrity or high-profile individual to benefit from this Personal Protection Service. Our clients have different reasons for wanting personal protection, and no matter the circumstances, our pledge is to provide our clients with peace of mind while treating them with the respect they deserve.
Mobile Patrols
BlueTac offers Mobile Patrol services for homes and businesses that threat conditions don’t require, or budgets don’t allow, for a dedicated Security Specialist on site at all times. Mobile Patrols are also a great supplement to an existing security plan during heightened threat condition times.
A Mobile Patrol is defined as a random and thorough security check of a subject business or home. This is not just a drive-by but a top to bottom, inside and out, thorough inspection of the defined security area(s), building(s), or home(s). Our Security Specialist arrives in a police like, official looking, BlueTac marked and lighted patrol vehicle, gets out of the car, and inspects the premises. Each patrol is reported along with any findings or incidents encountered. The number of patrols performed within any 8, 12, or 24 hour period can be adjusted to meet any budget.
Mobile Patrols is a cost-effective security solution that offers an affordable method of mitigating existing or expected security and safety concerns. BlueTac Mobile Patrols also offer coverage tailored to meet special security needs of our clients such as door checks, perimeter checks, parking lot assessments, and more.
Security Response Service (Commercial & Residential)
All would agree that criminal attacks on our homes such as robbery, violence, vandalism, and kidnapping are increasing at an alarming rate. Chances are, either you have been personally impacted by these increasing offenses or you know someone who has experienced one or more of these violations to our American way of life. Fear of the possibilities of becoming a victim restricts the freedom in which we live our lives. Here at BlueTac, we are not ok with that!!!
The safety and security of every American family, their homes, and their peace of mind is our objective with this Residential Security Response program. For this reason and with this purpose, BlueTac is marching like a calvary into one community after another, one home and family at a time. The BlueTac Security Response Team is a trained army trooping to the front lines of your neighborhood with a mission to cast out the tyrannical aggressor called crime and insecurity and restore order, peace, security, and freedom to the places we live.
With our dense patrol network in our Residential Security Response service areas, our response times are within minutes to the homes of our clients upon alarm or request. No other security option can be on site in time to capture perpetrators and prevent theft, harm, or obductions like the BlueTac Security Response Team.
BlueTac’s Research and Development Team is currently working on a downloadable app that will go wherever you go within our Geofencing (service areas). This will allow our clients and their entire families to receive Security Response Service while driving their car, walking down the street, or out shopping. More to come on this!!!
