Blue Oasis

We love Blue Oasis it is a great family place. Ice cream and Italian ice are the best!!! Love the tables and markers that kids can draw on and the comfy couches and chairs for adults to relax and visit.

Loved it! The owner is really nice and supportive of Tech students! We work with them as an organization a lot!
Also, the flavors are delicious! I always try something new whenever I go. Prices are good, and the staff has always been kind. Oh, and good prices (poor college kid here, so that's definitely important!).

The ice cream here is literally addicting. The italian ice is also, like advertised, snow cones on steroids! I've gone multiple times with large groups of friends, and we plan to go many more times! You can write on some of their tables, so it's fun to goof around with your friends while eating your sweet treaty goodness haha The location is a little bit hard t find at first, because it's behind/clustered around so many other stores, but once you've been there it's easy to find your way back.

Edit: ALSO, and I HAD to come back to mention this, but their "scoops" are freaking ginormous... Seriously not even scoops anymore, but they charge you ($$) as if it were! More...

Went in today for $1 scoop Tuesday, which is AWESOME and the Italian ice (mango) was SO good. We also got caramel (which I think was more of a caramel crunch) it was delicious but I got the Cookie Monster one which was supposed to have Oreos, chocolate chip cookies and cookie dough and I only got one little piece of Oreo in the whole scoop so that was disappointing but the vanilla base was pretty tasty. Overall I'd DEFINITELY go back especially for the Italian ice on a hot day but I'm not sure I'd get Cookie Monster again...maybe it was just a weird scoop? More...

I've been a couple times now and both the Italian ice and the homemade ice cream is amazing! Italian ice is way better than just a snow cone, and nothing compares to homemade ice cream. ;)
Like mentioned in a previous post, I wasn't impressed with the workers either. The second time I went was better than the first. The first time I walked in and there were people in front of me ordering. They paid and walked away. I'm not impatient, but the 2 workers weren't doing anything and I started to wonder if they even saw me (not sure how they wouldn't have). Finally the guy walked up to me and I guess I was expecting something along the lines of "how can I help you?" Instead, he just slowly walked over and in a less than cheerful voice said "hi." Overall, neither of the two that time were friendly. The second time I initiated conversation with the workers, which was a little better. I'm not posting this for the sake of complaining but so the owner can be aware that it's still an issue. More...

This place is delicious! I always get one scoop of ice cream and one of the Italian ice and I have yet to find a flavor that I didn't like. The staff is awesome. Last week the hubby and kids went to get ice cream and after ordering he realized he didn't have his wallet, it was no big deal to them and he brought the kids home with their ice cream and then went back to pay. Monica is the best employee that Blue Oasis has. She was super helpful and so nice to my kids. She put so much effort into making sure we got the ice cream we wanted and let us taste most of them. Okay Oganizations out there, aren't we always looking for a new, delicious, innovative, food idea for banquets, events, parties and meetings, but also need it to be cost effective? Well look no further than Blue Oasis of Lubbock, TX. Josh Nelson pulled out all of the stops in working with our High School Choir Booster club to bring his "food truck" and DELICIOUS Ice Cream and Italian Ice serve at our "no banquet" banquet that the kids wanted to have. Dessert being served from the Blue Oasis food truck during their DJ dance, was something that had not been done before was perfect to meet the kids request of no typical banquet food and stuffy atmosphere for them.
