John was AMAZING! He is personable, courteous, very knowledgeable, and detail oriented. My husband and I do not like to be the center of attention and were very nervous about having to pose for pictures. John was so personable and we quickly forgot about our worries. Talking and interacting with him felt like talking with an old friend. He was able to move us and capture the love we have for each other. He did an amazing job of giving us feedback and taking candid shots. He was very detail oriented making sure all our guests looked amazing all while being very diligent to make sure no red wine was spilled on my dress! I will forever be grateful for the wonderful experience John provided us through Blue Media Works for our wedding! After searching countless photographers, I came across his work and prices and had to reach out. He took the time to thoroughly answer all the questions I had before booking him. On day of the wedding my husband and I, even our guests, noticed how attentive he was. He went as far as fixing our guests attire when necessary and fetching us some cold water and snacks during cocktail hour. He worked with me to find a package that fit my budget and needs. John was absolutely outstanding on wedding day. He knows exactly where to be and what to say to capture the moment. He listened and understood our vision for the photography and totally matched my energy. I usually hate photos and get antsy for them to be over but even the posed portrait session was laid back and quick and John got all the shots. He made us and our guests feel relaxed in front of the camera and he fixed little details like sleeves, veil, bra straps, hair, and ties without it feeling fussy. The candid photos of the reception and ceremony are also wonderful, I don’t know how he managed to be everywhere at once but he didn’t miss a thing and I was able to interact with our guests without being distracted by photographs. Working with John for my wedding was such a blessing!! From the time he arrived, he started putting things together for my “bride getting ready” shots. He came prepared with his own tackle box of wedding props in a variety of colors, shapes, and styles. I am uncomfortable taking pictures; I don’t even know how to take selfies because I feel awkward. John made it all disappear!!

He was involved and completely focused every step of the way. Helping me stay on track and leading me from one moment to the next. I was so nervous because my wedding was out of town and my mom (unexpectedly) had to have emergency open heart surgery less than 3 weeks before my wedding. Prior to my leaving to the ceremony, the back of my dress tore and the heavy hook I had sown into the dress came off. Due to the major surgery, my mom could not use the strength in her arms yet to pull/secure it. John stepped right up to assist my makeup/hair artist in fixing it.

During the entire event, John went above and beyond in every way possible. He captured the same poses of the pictures I’d found on Pinterest prior to my wedding. He made BOTH my husband and I feel at-ease (we’re both camera shy). He provided us with easy-to-understand instructions, explanations, suggestions, and feedback from the time he arrived to the time he left. He even helped my dear friend with the packing and loading up all the gifts and personal items we took back to our hotel that night. I mean, WHO DOES THAT?? He feels like a member of our family now!!

I would HIGHLY recommend John’s photography services. Not only does he have an exceptional keen eye to the smallest detail, but his professionalism and character are an extremely rare find. He’s an admirable listener when it comes to expressing one’s preferences and dislikes. His years of experience are evidenced by his seemingly effortless ability to explain things, answer questions, and the quality of his photos.
