Excellent atmosphere, food, proportions, presentation, and service (original drink order was lost, but remedied and all forgiven in the overall picture). not a bad seat in the house.Chuchito did his father and grandfather's legacy total justice with a casual, energetic , and comprehensively latin style all his own! All of his solos were varied and creative, leaving me to constantly enjoy what would have otherwise been boring from most other artists. Seated one row back from the drummer which is usually a mess, but this fellow (who, despite half an hour of searching, I was unable to find his name) was subtle, constantly variable, and concise with a seemingly infinite repertoire of rhythms at his command. First-time visitors this past Friday night. The place was packed, perhaps a bit too many people but the venue is not very large so maybe just us. The staff was incredibly nice and professional our server Mandy was attentive. Those who helped her were definitely on point. The music was exceptional as well, I could of used another song or two in the set. I would recommend that the staff not let people stick their phones up through a whole song to video the musicians, rather distracting and rude to others. I know because we had this guy wearing a hat recording most of the evening, not cool. The food was incredible as the service, all was creative and super tasty with a great presentation.All of this is nitpicking I know however I have one gripe that cost them a star, the liquor prices. I love spirits, not wine, so I asked for a spirits menu, yeah they don't have that. What I got was a handwritten list, and that was perfectly fine, at least I thought so at the time. So over the course of the evening, I ordered two Macallan's 12 yo, fairly standard decent scotch. Then the bill came for the evenings, $33 PER DRINK... What the actual flip sort of price is that for such a common scotch, young as well. I was pissed when I saw the cost of two drinks and a coke for my wife was almost $100 when it was all added up. For what we paid for two drinks and a soda I could have bought a whole bottle of scotch. Seriously.$33 per drink is completely unacceptable and had I known that price I too would have had a soda. I hate that it took me this long to come here!!! My husband and I were trying to find a place to eat and this came up on Yelp. We've walked past it so many times and never went here. HUGE MISTAKE! I went here for a birthday dinner and had the most wonderful experience. There was a $10 admission fee to sit in for the jazz performance, but I would have gladly paid that just to listen to the music and do nothing else. The food was phenomenal! The last time I came here I had their chicken, and I swear it's the best chicken I've ever had in my life. I came here during restaurant week and also had their rice and beans. WOW is this place is awesome!!! I can't say enough about the food, the wait staff, the entertainment...ALL TOP NOTCH! This is a gem! Loved the whole vibe, the menu was large and offered many different options for everyone at the table. the wait staff was wonderful. We were in town for the Art Show and decided to try this place and the Josef Deas Trio just blew us away...they were incredible! It is a very laid back yet classy place to dine and see a show....I wish our city had a place just like this. We got a lot of small plates and share them all...the wine selection is great. Llama's has a great relaxing atmosphere. We walked in and we're greeted with a big smile and chose a table outside. I had never been here to hear actual music and only for a drink. I was told that they would have music at 7:30pm so I thought I would check it out. The price was $20 per person for the cover charge which the host lowered to $15. We were seated at a table near the music. We ordered a drink and an appetizer seeing that we had already had a meal. We got the combo that had onions, mushrooms, Summer sausage with rice and beans. It was ok for an appetizer. I also got a dirty martini which was not real dirty and did not have enough olive juice. The waitress did bring me a cup of olive juice to add. The entertainment was lively. It was a fusion of rap, Latin and jazz which was different. The waitress was friendly and attentive.
