I went here this past weekend with some friends and it was a lot of fun! You can BYOB (bring your own bottle) but there is a fee. They have an assortment of songs to choose from even K Pop songs. It's good to make a reservation if you're coming with a big group of people. We had 10 people in our group and the specific room we wanted was already taken so we had to get another room. The lady we met who worked there was very nice and helpful with explaining to us the process of everything as well as how to work the karaoke board. I went here with a group of friends (10 people) this past weekend. This is a great place to go to sing karaoke in a private room if you have a lot of people who don't like to perform in front of people they don't know. They have an assortment of songs to choose from, even a lot of Asian songs. However, they did have a decent amount of songs we searched for in their database missing. You can however play a song on your phone and lean it against one of the mics to sing with it which was great when we felt like singing songs that they didn't have available. We didn't reserve a room, but you should if you are bringing a bigger group so that you have a big enough room to sing in. The lady who set us up with our room was very nice and helpful. You can BYOB [bring your own bottle/food], but you do pay a fee to do so. You should also make sure to keep track of the time you are in the room so you don't overpay. Even though i don't Karaoke as often it was grealty fun, its healthy to shake the rust off your voice even if you're not 100% confident to sing, great selection of music and friendly atmosphere with comfortable couches.

Important: Blue Karaoke has a new address! I've submitted a request to Yelp to update it to the new location at -3500 W. Liberty Rd. ......Blue is a classic "Korean style" karaoke place (as opposed to a Chinese style KTV). Freakin' love it. This karaoke bar has all the elements of the good karaoke bars I'm used to: a huge book of English and Asian songs to choose from that is updated all the time to include the latest bops, lyrics on background images that don't match the song playing at all. My friend who has spent a summer in Japan even said it reminded her of the karaoke bars there.The only downside is that the area is not in a well-lit, common area of A2. However, that could be a plus as there's free parking at the bar. The inside could also look nicer. I also find the price per person more expensive than similar karaoke bars not in A2. This felt just like the singing rooms in South Korea, it's great for those who like karaoke but want to do it just with their group of friends. You can rent different sized rooms, all I think are similar in cost, but accommodate different sized groups coming in. We came on a Saturday evening, and the place seemed pretty empty. The cost seemed reasonable, about $5 a person per hour, plus another $1 each as a fee to bring in your own drinks/snacks. The place isn't too far from Blank Slate Creamery. So close enough to downtown to come after dinner. Plus they have their own (i.e., free) parking lot, which is always a major perk. They seemed to have plenty of song choices, massive books to search through, plus they told us we could just search on the screen, as that might pull up more recent songs than what's even in the books. Blue Karaoke is a great place for people who love to sing and have a good time with their friends. Blue offeres private rooms to accommodate groups of varying sizes (rooms are very clean). You can bring your own drinks and snacks for a very small additional fee (which is a huge plus for my friends and I). Wide range of songs to choose from and easy to use program that allows you to search by titles, artists, etc. You can also queue up songs to keep the flow going. Owner is very friendly and helpful (both on location and by phone or email).Blue is also handicap accessible! (My friend who goes to Blue with me has a decent sized, electric wheelchair and she is able to move around within the building without problem. Even in the smaller rooms, there is enough room for her to maneuver her chair without any issues).If you're looking for a good place for karaoke, Blue is the place to go. Even if you don't live in Ann Arbor, it's worth the trip. (You can request/reserve a room if you are coming from out of town).
