We've been DJ'ing since the 90's, using good ol' turntables. We're still doing it, but with updated music of course, and digital equipment. Our passion for the music has stayed the same, and we believe that is the most important thing about being a DJ.

Our party was delayed 3+ years due to Covid and other personal issues. Jon kept my information and honored our original contract. His communication was clear and consistent leading up to our party. This was my first time hiring a DJ. I had spoken to other guys before calling Jon. I was impressed with how friendly and professional he was during our initial conversation. He understood and was accommodating for each of my requests for my hubby’s 50th bday party. There was a particular flow for the evening and he made it happen. Jon came to set up almost an hour ahead of schedule, very impressive punctuality. I had no idea what we really wanted for "dance" music but he did, and all my guests loved the play list! Well, my party went off without a hitch and we owe it all to Block Party Entertainment. On the day of the party, the most work I had to do was point to the spot for them to setup in, and they managed the rest of the night all by themselves. This was a huge stress relief for me as I tended to the my guests. They came early, had a nice setup of lighting and sound equipment and played good music. No guests ever complained about the music being too loud, and when dinner was over, they turned it up enough to make them get off their seats and everyone started dancing. These guys were definitely a good choice for me at a really great value. Waaaay better than previous services that I’ve used. Don’t hesitate to give these guys a call for your next block party! Jon was a DJ for my graduation party! He did an amazing job playing music that was continuous and fun for all ages (youngest was 18 and oldest was 85). He did the whole setup without needing much help, was happy to take song requests, and he even played longer than needed after I asked. He also was happy to let me make announcements with his microphone! Great DJ! Highly recommend for any type of party and the pricing was great! More...

What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
"Reading the crowd" is one of those DJ skills that takes a long time to hone. After several years, it has become second nature.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
Definitely open-format music. That way, we can keep everyone entertained, and we can be more creative jumping from era to era, genre to genre, tempo to tempo, without getting stuck in one style of DJ'ing.
What do you love most about your job?
Playing the music that we keep personal playlists of, to people who have never heard it. Maybe it's a totally new track to you; maybe it's a dance remix of a song that you're familiar with. As soon as you start bobbing your head or dancing... we're doing our job. Once you say "OMG, that sounds awesome!"... then we really start smiling.
What inspired you to start your own business?
During the mid-90s, my friend Joey in college (RIP) had a self-made mobile DJ business with his older brother. They were one of the two most popular mobile services in town. I initially tagged along as the "roadie" helping to set up and break down equipment, learning components, cabling, lighting, etc. Then when the equipment wasn't being used for gigs, I eventually dabbled in practicing mixing on the turntables . The rest is history.
