My two experiences at blo have been great. I had the pleasure of being styled by James for a maternity photo shoot. He took great care to make my hair look perfect. So, whilst my initial walk in experience was a little nerve wracking. No one could find my appointment and I thought I was going to have to go to my husbandsHoliday party looking like I had just worked a 12hr shift, which I had. Shannon took such great care of me. She made sure that I got my hair blown out and it looked gorgeous(unfortunately like the forgetful person i am I can't remember the girls name but, she did an awesome job!) I've been coming here a couple times and I absolutely love it. It's a lovely salon, great stylist, and I enjoy the vibe when I'm there. Great prices. Just moved to Uptown and I'm so happy I found this place! Becca who did my hair was super nice and fun to chat with. I asked for big holiday waves and she delivered! They use a ton of WOW products which are super high end so I was super impressed but this was definitely the best blow out I've gotten in a long time. I'm on day 3 and it's still looks fresh and has volume. And let me tell you, I'm shocked. I went out all weekend and partied etc but this hair has survived. Thank you!! I made 3 consecutive days of appointments for wedding festivity stuff over the weekend & everyone did such a good job. Each stylist had a little different take on the "va-va-voom" look I was going for, but all equally beautiful. I suffer from alopecia areata due to an auto immune disorder and they still made my hair look full & sexy. I also cannot speak praises enough for the manager, Maria, who did my makeup Sunday. There was a bit of miscommunication on the look I was going for & expressed this to her via email and she made it 150% right. She came in & did my makeup herself on Sunday and I think the pictures speak for themselves. I got so many compliments! I took my 76 year old mother to get her hair done and the staff was wonderful! They made her feel at home and really took care of her and made her feel special. I loved everything about this place! When you walk in,  the music is great and the atmosphere is fun!  The stylists did a great job with my hair and makeup. This is my favorite blow dry bar in San Diego hands down! I come here often and my favorite stylist is nivet! She leaves my hair feeling so good and it last without a wash for a good 4 days which is super impressive for my oily hair! Go see her you you'll love it!

It's VERY important the hair stylist finishes on time before the next appointment, because everyone's time is valuable. I literally had to run out of my meeting to arrive on time to my appointment only to wait 10 minutes before I was seen. My friends experience was much different, but they made up for it. Excellent customer service. Everyone is on a busy schedule. It is critical that the business honors the time of scheduled appointments. It's best to get on their website and check out their signature styles, so when you come in you have an idea what hair style you want. This will help alleviate time. I invited a friend to experience the hair + eye service for the first time. We both loved our hair stylist. I think the one who did my hair was Stephanie..? She's new. Phenomenal hairstylist... I would request her the next time I'm in. The lady that did my smoky eye is phenomenal! The service is top notch! Our hair and eye products stayed on throughout the day!! I've gotten Sephora make up service and the service here is no comparison. I believe there are only two make up artist. I would request the supervisor. She does amazing work! Hair products are AMAZING!!!! They keep the hold for 2-3 days without washing. Best of all smells delicious!! Love love the texturizing spray. I was in Houston for a wedding and needed to find a trustworthy place to protect (and fasten, ha!) my hair from the humidity. I found Blo on Yelp and booked online. I loved their notifications and reminders because it helped keep me on track. Hannah (who I think is a bit new) took great care of me and was such a doll! We chatted about stereotypical Orange County things (I explained the difference between a rolling earthquake and rocking earthquake) and she filled me in on what to do for a hurricane or tornado. Informative & effective!! I gave her (almost) free reign to do whatever she wanted, with a few caveats: pin something back, cover my thinning hair up front, and don't pull my hair back to show my chubby cheeks. She delivered! I warned her that my fine hair doesn't hold curls very well, so after the 1p.m. appointment, a lot of the curls had fallen out into waves by 5p.m. for the wedding. This is likely an issue on my side, so I can't be too upset. She used a powder (?) to cover the thinning hair up top, which was awesome. It was $5 extra, but it was worth it because it looked natural. I'm not sure how this would work for someone if they were blonde, and how effective color matching would be, but it worked wonders for my black hair! Everyone was sooo sweet and kind and the place was poppin' on a Friday, so that goes to show they know what they're doing. I had a great experience at this amazing blow dry bar yesterday! Sandra the owner was so kind and accommodating as well as personable. She knows how to run a great business ! Belinda my hair stylist did an amazing job on my updo. Everyone at the event I went to was asking where I had it done. My makeup artist was also fantastic. It was a last minute decision to get makeup done and I'mSo glad I did it!!! I also loved how they had a mimosa and coffee bar in the back.
