Stopped in here for my son's birthday lunch. We had heard a lot of good things about it. And they were all true. Inside it's a nice cozy kind of environment with friendly service. The food came quickly after we ordered (which is good when you have kiddos with you). And ALL of the food was fantastic. The price is great. And the quality is even better. I had the Combo #1. It was fantastic! The burnt ends and ribs were super tender and the sausage was delicious. Everything smoked exactly the way it should be with bbq. The mac & cheese and cheesy corn bake were also delicious. My son had wings and my daughter had chicken tenders. They loved them and they were of fantastic quality. Have eaten here several times and the BBQ beans are some of the best in KC. Meats are really good. Blind Box would be in the running for top 10 in KC if they would fix their BBQ Sauce selection IMO. They have tried to find their own flavor which is highly commendable. They just missed the mark. The KC Meat Boyz reviewed them as a good place to go and were right on the mark. More...

I found Blind Box BBQ while searching for a nice, yet not brutal on the wallet date. BBQ in Kansas City carriers high expectations and I felt their food met all. Specifically the pulled pork sandwich.Blind Box BBQ is a fun atmosphere with a really cool bar. It was packed when I went but the service and food was quick, timely, and personal. Quite good! Ordered full rack babyback to share. My first 1/4 excellent but 2nd 1/4 tasted a bit like burnt ends? Sweet potato fries and onion straws divine. Facility comfie.

Favorite Kansas City bbq: I wish they were located closer to me. This place is seriously amazing and you wont regret eating here! The servers are going but extremely friendly and competitive!I ordered sausage, burned ends box that came with brand and fries. The portion size was was very generous, enough for two people to share. Big portions, and sooooo good. The smoked sausage has just enough of a bite that it doesn’t need any added sauce, the ribs and chicken are fall-apart tender, and the burnt ends just melt in your mouth.

A cool place to stop and get some barbecue. My boyfriend and I decided to stop here for a spontaneous lunch break after seeing it on yelp. Where the restaurant is located, it's almost like hidden right in plain sight, and I can't believe I had passed this place after being in the area for multiple years ! The restaurant has a very rustic vibe to it and is kept very clean. Our waiter was very kind and had a lot of knowledge of the menu. Our food came out shortly after, and looked delicious. The barbecue was good, the only thing I wish they had was more sauces! Besides that our visit here went well and we enjoyed the atmosphere of the place while indulged in a good meal. I would say this place is in top 10 for KC BBQ which is still rarified air. The burnt ends and baby back ribs along with the cheesy corn are my favorites from here. Service is good and nice atmosphere. Make sure if you order carry out you ask for sauce because they did not include any in my last order. Josh our server was outstanding. Since it was our first time here we asked to sample the coleslaw and potato salad which was immediately brought to our table. Both delicious. The meal was fantastic. My husband and I decided to try out a new place for happy hour and turns out this is one of the best happy hours we have ever had ! The BBQ nachos were the best nachos I have ever had and the BBQ wontons were delicious as well! We both enjoyed them so much! Not to mention the amazing drinks were so good and all their specialty cocktails were 6 bucks during happy hour ! Jordan at the bar was very knowledgeable regarding all the different types of drinks and full of great conversation! Came here for lunch on a Friday. Seated quickly and good service.  Nacho appetizer was perfect and large enough for two people. Had burnt ends and while they were moist they tasted better with sauce. Great food. Ribs were good, smoked sausage was amazing. Burnt ends were very lean; seemed more like chunks from the middle of the brisket, rather than burnt ends. They had almost no fat to them. That said, they were still tasty, just nowhere near the best. The sides were fantastic. Corn bake, beans, sweet potato fries were all great. Me and my husband just ate here for the first time and it was a very good experience. The atmosphere was nice and the staff was all very friendly and welcoming. I got sweet tea to drink and I'm usually really picky about my sweet tea, theirs was perfect. Sweet without being overly sweet and no bitter taste at all. The server was attentive with getting refills as well. Next we got the onion straws to start with. When they said mountain on the menu they was serious. You get a good size portion of nicely seasoned thinly cut lightly breaded onions. They're really good. For the main course, I got the podium platter (burnt ends & brisket) with fries and Bourbon baked beans. The meat was soo tender and juicy. Some of the best I've had. Tasted amazing and like some really good fresh BBQ like you'd get if you spent all day outside cooking it instead of just waiting a few minutes for it. Also the BBQ sauce is really good. Smoky with a little sweet, a little spice and alot of flavor that goes well with the meat without covering up the taste of the meat itself. Overall, it was a great lunch and experience. This is by far the best BBQ ever!!! The meats are lean, great flavor, no need to douse in sauce.
