Hands down the best personal trainer that I was lucky to find through yelp, so I'm spreading the love and sharing with others! I had been a fan of Crossfit for years, but realized I wasn't getting the total body physique I had when I lifted with a friend in college. In my numerous attempts to go back to the gym and find a trainer to kickstart my routine, I failed and couldn't find anyone that motivated me and got me the results I wanted in a 1 hour session (hence why I always went back to CrossFit). Well, I can tell you now that Blake is exactly what I've been looking for. It's only been a month, but my workouts are tough, I feel great and I already see some definition coming back. In addition to mixing up the workouts, maximizing my hour, and being efficient with my time- he's sharing nutrition plans, giving supplement suggestions, and providing workout routines for the days I'm traveling or not with him. *I travel a lot for work, and he is extremely flexible with that.I initially was just looking for someone to work with for a short period of time to get a routine down, but he pushes me so much harder when I'm with him, that I will gladly continue to invest the money (in myself). He's well worth it and the results, for himself and his clients, speaks for itself. The other day I was walking downtown and texted Blake, "you are one of the best investments I've made in myself."  You can confirm this by reading my other reviews - I don't mix words.  If I don't feel strongly one way or the other I don't generally review.  I started training with Blake a little over a year ago and haven't looked back.  I found him by initially checking Yelp reviews and proximity to my apt. - I wanted a recipe for success meaning someone to hold me accountable, train me, but also make it so I would want to keep going back.  I emailed Blake for a trial workout and the rest is history.  My goal initially was to learn how to use weights and a weight room so I wouldn't feel intimated at the gym.  Through my experience I've gained this confidence in the weight room, along with double digit % weight loss, and also a strong and aesthetic physique.  My posture is better, my skin is better, my endurance is better...the list goes on.Blake's philosophy is coaching the whole package.  He's super knowledgeable, and walks the walk.  I wouldn't trust a trainer that didn't look the part - if you're going to tell me to do something, have you done it?  What was your experience like?  Pitfalls?  Blake truly has the knowledge.  He's super personable too.  Training goes by quickly but we pack a lot in.  What sets Blake apart is he's genuinely interested in helping you become the best version of yourself.  This is your physical strength, but he's there to motivate you along the way with other life goals too.  You're leveling up when you train with Blake. I started doing personal training sessions with Blake back in June and all thanks to him, I able to achieve my fitness goals! Our first session I was 200lbs (6'1") @ 25.8% body fat. Along with Blake's expert sessions, advice, and diet suggestions I was losing roughly 1% of body fat per week (2 sessions with Blake per week in the beginning down to 1 session afterward). Fast forward a few months and I'm comfortably sitting at 178lbs @ 15% body fat. Those are cold hard facts. Results are what you get out of Blake! tl;dr - this man is a unicorn.  Do anything you can to get him as a trainer.I've spent a good chunk of my life working towards fitness.  Over the years I've lost up to 180 lbs.  I'm a technical, quantitative person and have a decade of personal data (food and exercise log and body composition) that I use to inform my fitness strategy.  On my journey I've engaged 8 different personal trainers including a professional bodybuilder, an official U.S. Olympic trainer, registered dietitians, and a sports scientist.  I can say, without question and with the data to back it up, Blake stands alone as a personal trainer.  First, the easy stuff.  He's inspirational, motivating, engaging, and genuinely invested in you as a client and as a human being.  He also is razor sharp and has a depth of simultaneously practical and data-driven knowledge that is incredibly rare.  To have both of these things in one package is something I've never come across.  The man is a gold mine of information and when I train with him I get as much out of the tactics and advice that he provides for execution while I'm not at the gym as I do in the actual workout.  But the truly special element of Blake is the personalization that he provides.  There are a lot of knowledgeable trainers that know what works for them that can give you a workout to follow and help you push yourself.  Blake goes ten steps further by incorporating your personality, motivation, constraints (time, diet, travel, medical conditions etc.), and learning style.  The workouts, advice, and interaction he provides are fit to YOUR needs.  It is a truly novel experience to have faith that my trainer knows more about the right path for me than I do, to be guaranteed continual growth, personally and physically, each and every time.  Blake's sessions increase in value over time, totally shifting the paradigm of diminishing marginal returns of training as one learns their tricks and style.  I'll end on a nerdy note: over the years I've struggled to find a balance between fat loss, muscle growth, healthy nutrition, and physical activity that is sustainable without incurring injury.  These months with Blake are the first time in a decade of trying everything that I've simultaneously lost fat, increased muscle mass, increased my metabolic rate (measured), and reduced incidence/opportunity for injury.Thank you, Blake. This has truly been a life changing experience. I have grown is ways I would have never imagined. This is an entirely different level of fitness. I can give you the lame typical  I lost weight BS. But I am going to give u the truth. Yes I lost weight but I gained so much more. Truth is you got to put in the work. Bigger truth: Blake is there every step of the way. His knowledge and dedication exceeds any class or nonsense I ever joined. He helped me loose over 50lbs and look amazing. No. I'm not done. His levels never stop unless you do. Toned. 50lbs lighter. Yea u read that right I'm living proof you can loose over 50lbs!!! Blake fit is amazing. It's like he knows everything (weird I know but true) from fitness to food to shoes to pre workouts to body sculpting to life.  I can never thank this man enough for giving me back who I knew I was but couldn't find her because she was drowning in fad diets and lame work outs. My Fiancé gives 5 stars for Blake's "Pre."  "I've trained with Protein and Creatine supplements and saw good gains. 5-10 lbs of muscle but when I gave Blake's Pre Workout a try I immediately saw my workout times move from 50 mins to 1 1/2 hrs. My reps got heavier and breaks between sets were quicker. I was really moving in the gym with purpose! I was working out alone but I worked as if my trainer was right there. I was someone who has always loved working out but have been reluctant to hire a personal trainer. After injuring my back, I had to give up weight lifting and entered a very dark period. I got fed up and reached out to Blake in an effort to re-boot my fitness routine. I chose him because I wanted someone who could take me to the next level, but also help me from re-inuring my back. While visiting SF for New Year I found myself  in Blake's class at Elevate on Ocean Street. It's was an energetic and impactful workout. Awesome and a little sore a couple of days later in all the right places. Blake catered to the needs of each individual with modifications. BlakeFIT is the man! I have not only had the pleasure of training with Blake but I have also competed with him at an NPC championship. He knows what he is talking about when it come to training and if results is what you want, look no further. I've been working out with Blake through Elevate Group Fitness and I'm so very happy with my results. Blake's workouts are definitely not a walk through the park, but each fragment of pain is worth every second of the physical, spiritual, and emotional satisfaction I receive during and after each workout. I did my first Blake FIT Turbo Fusion Kickbox workout last Thursday and it kicked my ASS! Definitely not what I was expecting from a Kickboxing class. I loved how blake incorporated everything from yoga, pilates, kickboxing and tabata drills. Not to mention the awesome core workout you get. It is now Monday and my abs are STILL sore. I met Blake via Facebook while connecting with other personal trainers. I am in the fitness industry as a trainer and fitness software developer; I have just started training with Blake and have started my 8 week journey to change my eating habits, training style (as a trainer it is very important to constantly look for new training methods) to live a healthier lifestyle. All I can say is, I am impressed. The road is tough, but Blake takes the journey with you in and outside the gym. Not something most trainers do. Going forward I intend to model myself after him. I met Blake at Elevate. Before I even signed up for his classes, I had heard he was intense. Well... I thought I was going to pass out the very first time I took his class! Sure I may have thought I was going to throw up, but now I can hang with the best of them. After that first class, I was hooked. I looked forward to Blake's classes each week. He quickly became my favorite, and he is the real deal.He always emphasizes on having the correct form. What is the point in the exercise if you're not doing it correctly, right? You're not going to get results rushing through something if you're not doing it properly... Blake is the type of trainer that will encourage you and manage to make you push yourself beyond your comfort zone - that's when CHANGE really begins to happen. His classes aren't just physical, there is a spiritual sense going on. As I mentioned previously in my Elevate review, I used to be intimidated by smaller intimate gyms/studios. Talking to trainers? FORGET IT. Gymidation big time. You know what I'm talking about right? Gymidation has been long gone.  Blake is a super friendly. Always positive and a beaming light of energy that guy, I swear. No matter how rough of a day I have had, I always left  him with my mind clear and in a happier place that would carry me on throughout the day, night, week etc. Blake takes fitness seriously, so don't think you will get away with half assing it. Blake will make you give your 100%. Not only that, you will WANT to give his sessions your 100% because it is WORTH IT. You will thank him, but your body will thank you too.Blake's exercises are very, very precise and excellent at targeting muscle groups (abs abs abs ABS! hurts so good) His expertise and training will whip you into shape in no time.If you want results and you want to listen to some rockin music and have fun while getting your butt kicked,  you need some Blake in your life. 3 words - Blake Is Awesome!I've worked with a few personal trainers. Blake is the only trainer who has been effective enough for me to remember their own workout philosophies in workouts by myself. His training sessions are sharp, concise and targeted. He's always on time, confirms sessions, and definitely maximizes the time for a thorough workout session. I've always been very fit and Blake has taken my physique to another level that I wouldn't have been able to do on my own. I never knew I could do a handstand and learn how to breath properly when lifting. The abdominal "windshield wipers" are tough but I get them done thanks to Blake's coaching.Glad I signed up with him. I actually feel like my body's in the best shape ever thanks to Blake. Blake is the epitomy of "mind over matter".  I've been in the fitness industry for 10+ years and Blake is the best I've ever worked with. Blake is one of the best trainers I've ever experienced, and his unique yoga / fusion exercises provide diversity and a level of interest that you won't get in a typical gym. In addition, his encouraging and positive attitude makes even the tough parts worthwhile. He pushes you just past your limits to ensure that you'll be seeing results (and I swear, I have more defined hip flexors already). I have been taking Blake's classes at Elevate Group Fitness and highly recommend him! Blake is a beast, and I mean that in the nicest way possible. At first, I was seriously afraid of his classes. I took one and it truly kicked my booty! However, after starting to take more and more classes at Elevate, I decided to quit being such a chicken and take more of Blake's classes. I feel as though I can keep up now (I'm getting better at the 3 minute challenge!) and find myself signing up for Blake's classes with a smile on my face. Blake is probably the most encouraging instructor at Elevate. I absolutely love all of the things he says before, during and right as the class is ending. He truly makes all of the students keep working their hardest and reminding each and every one of them that giving up is not an option! He is always smiling! Students: don't be afraid of his classes! You will sweat, you will feel as though you will fall over, but the results you will get are amazing! I love how passionate Blake is about fitness. Blake is an amazing trainer! He gives great encouragement and direction; he pushes me in a constructive way to achieve amazing results. I am often bored when I am in classes or when I work out with a trainer, but Blake really keeps my attention and mood high! He also has a great attitude, he may be a buff guy but he is not a typical gym trainer "meathead". He genuinely cares about fitness and well being, inside and out, mental and physical. Blake is such a positive trainer, he encourages me and pushes me to go the extra mile, as well as compliments me on my progress. Who doesn't love getting recognized for the hard work they do?! Blake has changed my life! I've been working with him for 6 weeks and my body has already transformed. He pushes me further than I would ever go on my own. As a result, I went from not being able to do a single handstand push-up, to doing full sets of 7 or more. My outlook on training has transformed as well, from being something I dreaded, to something as see as uplifting, exciting, and necessary for the advancement of my life. Blake is not only an amazing trainer but a true inspiration. I have been battling to change my body for a while now and once I decided to train with Blake it was like there was no stopping me. If he could achieve what he did after his accident then I sure as hell could lose my belly!  Blake doesn't put up with bullcrap and will hold you accountable for sessions, and eating habits. Throughout our training Blake also called me to check in see how I was doing with my workouts on my own and my nutrition. Having someone really care about your dreams no matter what they are and creating a real plan to help you reach them has made my life so much better. Blake helped me do assisted back flips an evening with some friends. He was patient, discussed proper technique and most of all was motivating and encouraging.  I was skeptical I could even do an assisted flip, but with his coaching and direction I was able to do one in only a couple hours.
