We came here for lunch on Fathers Day after our usual place was booked and were pleasantly surprised. There isn't any dedicated parking, but it was easy enough to find a spot on a nearby street. Our server told us that this place was known for their gnocchi so naturally we had to order the gnocchi misto (sampler of 3 sauces with gnocchi) for an appetizer. Now generally my family and I aren't the biggest fans of gnocchi, but these were amazing- even better than the gnocchi I had tried in Italy. For entrees we ordered the seafood risotto, salmon italiano, chicken saltimbocca, and chicken marsala. All of us were really happy with our choices. I got the seafood risotto and unlike other restaurants I've been to, they were very generous with the amount of seafood. For dessert we ordered the cannolis and tiramisu, which did not disappoint. The staff was lovely although the service was a little slow- we sat outside and quite a while would go by before a server would come out. This isn't necessarily a bad thing- I'd argue it gave us time to sit and enjoy our meals and have a nice conversation without feeling rushed. With how good the food and ambiance was, we really were in no rush.As Collingswood is a dry town (which we learned upon being seated), this restaurant is BYOB. More...

Don't even bother ordering online.  I arrived for back door pick-up, and no one came to the door, nor did they answer the phone after 10 attempts.  Finally, I decided to go into the restaurant to find out what was going on with my order.  It took another 10 minutes and when I got it home, they forgot to include the dressing with my $16.00 salad.  I'm done with this place for a while! I have heard plenty of good things about this restaurant prior to my first visit. I've read a bunch of the reviews on yelp and decided I would have my birthday dinner there. We went as a party of four, and had reservations for 630 on a Sunday night. There is no parking for the restaurant, so you are stuck looking for parking on the street.  Meter parking is also applicable on Saturday and Sunday nights, so be cautious. We were immediately sat for dinner, and give them menus. We ordered three appetizers, and at this point I believe the meal went wrong. The server forgot to take our Entree orders, until all of the appetizers or eaten.  The restaurant was crowded, but service was lackluster. The person who I would assume was the manager, walked by several times, and never even attempted to assist by pouring water or removing dirty dishes. The entrées were good, but nothing spectacular. I was disappointed in the gnocchi as I had heard such good things:  To wrap up the evening our server accidentally discarded my wife's leftovers. She was apologetic and had the kitchen replace the meal.  With so many options locally I don't believe I'll be going back. More...

An amazing blend of ambiance, service, and great food! After looking at all of the Italian restaurants in the area, this menu seemed the most special, it was! The gnocchi trio sampler was the best gnocchi I've ever had, especially the gorgonzola. Seafood risotto with crab and scallops was also so well done. Chicken francaise with a side of penne vodka was also super tasty! More...

Took a group of 7 in for dinner. Neighbors raved about the food. I was very disappointed. Gnocchi was gummy and tasted plain. Guest ordered medium chop and got tough one instead. Had to search out someone to refill water and bread. Really long wait for food and server explained that delay was due to private party. I assume they knew they had a private party in advance. That explanation made me feel totally unvalued as a customer. Who wants to be told that your party has to wait on their order because of another party. If you cannot  prep enough for all of your guests then you should not open your door for guests. Would not recommend this place for anyone to go to. Unless you want basic food and below basic service. More...

We had dinner here last evening. The meal was great the energy of the restaurant was definitely lively. It is quite loud in the restaurant. We opted for two starters one being the fried calamari and the second an appetizer portion of the short rib gnocchi. Both of the starters are very good.      For a meal we opted for a veal Parmesan meal with a vodka sauce which was quite tasty fried perfectly three pieces of veal. The second dish was a Bolognese with a hint of truffle which was quite good. We only opted for one dessert which was the tiramisu this also was good. All in all the food came out hot a little bit slower than normal however it was quite busy last night.  We brought wine so we enjoyed the people watching while waiting.         The one thing that was a little disturbing was when we sat down the hostess was friendly on arrival. As she took us to our table we asked her if we could move to the table next to ours which was not set yet. She rolled her eyes and was so put out. When we asked her if it was too much trouble we could just stay at the table. She got very defensive and she started to toss the stuff on the new table and in doing that she broke a wine glass in her fit of temper. We were very taken back. When we questioned her her excuse was I've been here a long a long day and we said to her that's fine however that's not our fault. She never once said I'm sorry she just continue to make excuses about her poor behavior.  Liam was our waiter and he was very attentive he told us that he's been serving only for a short time but he's doing very well. All in all I would've given the restaurant a five star however since I'm rating the entire experience the hostess sort of ruin the fifth star. It's very unfortunate but really is a great solid choice for dinner. The BYOB option always saves you in cost. The total for two people including gratuity was $120 all In. More...

This is one of my favorite restaurants to go to, so I have reviewed it many time.  Mainly writing this review for our waiter Blaine, a super nice kid.  I appreciate a hard working young person and we was exceptional.  The place was super busy tonight, as always.  It took about 90 mins for our dinner to come out.  Thankfully we were in no rush and it didn't matter.  Everything was delicious as always. Ive been going here for years. Tonite for my birthday dinner was my worst experience ever. The short rib arancini was missing the short rib. The jumbo shrimp panchetta was missing the jumbo shrimp. The entree polo saltimbocco was so disappointing missing prosciutto. My scallop Mediterranean scallops were rubbery. The meal took over an hour to come out. Some meals were luke warm. Too busy catering to a bigger party. The restaurant was definitely overbooked. I will never go back there again even though the manager gave us each $50 gift cards to teturn. Shame because the last manager was awesome and would never let that happen. Sorry but you lost a loyal customer. More...

Set up a reservation for New Years Eve. Nothing was said about a set menu. the restaurant called to confirm the reservation and nothing still was said about a set menu. Was not told until we walked in the door. By that time there wasn't much we could do. food was average at best definitely not worth $75 a person. 3 average size shrimp in a shrimp cocktail advertised as jumbo, stuffed meatballs wit mozzarella that tast mostly of bread crumbs. Bland salad, 1 pathetic voice of gnocchi when I was told they had a mass selection of them. A tuff bland flounder stuffed with what tast like canned crab meat. A chicken parm the size of a baby as though to compensate for the over price and lack of flavor. The best part of the night was a choc moose that was frozen... obviously not made fresh. Disappointed doesn't fully describe my feeling of the meal. Would not recommend due to price and quality of food. More...

Tried this place for dinner on a recent weekend. Left with mixed feelings. We started with the gnocchi misto trio and did the Stefano, Gorgonzola gnocchi, and the baked gnocchi. All three were delicious but my favorite was the stefano. We also enjoyed the bread and pesto they bring to the table to start. For entrees I got the veal parm with penne vodka on the side and my fiancé got the lasagna. My fiancé enjoyed his food. My veal was decent but the penne vodka didn't do it for me and I was glad I decided not to make it my full entree. For dessert we got the pumpkin cheesecake and the limoncello cake. Both the desserts were so good and helped end the night on a high note. Overall probably wouldn't go back but the gnocchi was very good More...

Last night we finally were able to sit outside (it was raining every time we went).  It was a gorgeous night & the patio was great.  We were seated next to the water feature & it was really relaxing.  Not sure what was going on last night, but it was very slow  I'm not complaining, because usually it seems we are in & out too fast.  I think the kitchen was short handed.  My husbands appetizer came out & mine never showed.  It was aggravating him because he doesn't like to eat until everyone has their food.  Well a good 20 mins passed before my pumpkin raviolis came out, so he ate his calamari cold(but I guess that's his choice, I told him to eat). However, I think they should serve appetizers at the same time.   The pumpkin raviolis were delicious, but mine did not have enough sauce( you can see in pic) & were barely warm.  No point in complaining, because it took a long time to get.   We had a 7pm reservation & our dinners never came out until 8:45.   The manager(I assume) did come to our table and apologize for the long wait, but we were actually enjoying our time on the patio with our drinks, so not a problem.   I still love this place, my food was delicious as always, I even got tiramisu for dessert ( which was very good).  I hope to make it back in the next few weeks. Went to the Sewell are one for a Saturday night Anniversary dinner.  The restaurant is very modern and has high ceilings that are not insulated - which made it almost unbearably loud.  However, the service was excellent, the food delicious (although I didn't think the gnocchi were all that great - seemed very doughy and bland).  I had the Veal Gino which was very flavorful and my husband had the cappellini bambini which he said was fabulous. We also slit a cold antipasto tray which had all the right things on it! At the end of the meal, they gave us some chocolate cello on the house which was very tasty.  All in all, I would definitely return but I would maybe try the Collingswood location or maybe the Marlton one. Perhaps I was expecting to be wowed based on all the great reviews and recommendations but I felt the food was very good but didn't blow me away. The meal started with complimentary glasses of champagne as we mentioned it was our anniversary on the reservation.  That was a really nice touch.  Note that this place is BYOB which is always a plus as you can spend more on food than drinks. We started with the gnocchi misto which is an appetizer sampler of any 3 of their gnocchi offerings.  We chose eggplant, pomodoro, and gorgonzola.  The sauces were all tasty and gnocchi was decent.Warm bread with a pesto oil was provided for the table and it was fantastic.  I had to hold back on eating too much of it for fear I'd have no room left for the main course.I ordered the lobster bisque soup and paid an extra $5 for some lump crab on top.  The soup was average amd there wasn't a lot of crab on top.My main course was one of the specials which was clams, mussels, shrimp, and octopus over linguine in a fra diavolo red sauce.  The dish was delicious and the octopus was cooked perfectly.Everyone else in our party of 6 enjoyed their meals but again I don't think anyone was amazed. The atmosphere inside was nice with exposed brick walls and a big glass window facing the street.  Strangely the walls were bare with no pictures or decorations.  I did take a peek at the back courtyard which unfortunately was closed for a private party when we were there.  I would recommend eating out there if you can.All in all I will probably try some of the other highly rated restaurants in the area before returning here. This place is a hidden gem. We entered and were immediately greeted. The hostess showed us to our table. Our server, Eddie, was young, enthusiastic, and eager to please. He made the experience very enjoyable. We startrd with his suggestion of their specialty, gnocchi. Off menu is their sampler, gnocchi misto, of 3 of the flavors of your choice. We had the baked, short rib, and eggplant. All where delicious but the best was the baked, also toited by Eddie. The gnocchi were soft with a little chew, fresh and delicious. The eggplant and short rib were in a red sauce. The bakedwas dressed in a mystery sauce. Only a mystery cause I couldn't pinpoint the base. Could have been cream, alfredo, not sure but it was not white, not red, but very flavorful. Our entrees were the Vitello Saltimbocca, and the Vitello Gianna. The saltimbocca was deliciuos. Salty prosciutto topped with melted mozzarella in a white wine sauce. The salt was a little forward but when adding a bit of the sautéed spinich to the bite it was well balanced. The Gianna waa also delicious. Rosted red peppers heavily flavored the sauce, with an abundant topping of them. Also adding to the flavor was lump crab meat. The crab meat was a little fishy tasting but good nonetheless. We finished with a peice of limoncello marscapone cake. Very lemony flavor, not too sweet. It was light and delicious, a perfect ending to our meal, with a couple of espressos. Oh, I left out the bread, small, warn rolls with a light, fresh pesto dipping sauce. They too were delicious. We are anxious to sample more of their appetizers as they look so wonderful. We will definetely be dinning here again, hopefully sharing with friends.
