For my first experience at Bing's, I ordered a yellow-mocha cake for my mother's birthday. The cake was light & moist; not over powering like some mocha cakes we've tried at different establishments. Mom went back for seconds!The staff at Bing's was very helpful. I went to pick up the cake the night before my preferred date and pick up time. At no fault to the bakery the cake wasn't prepared. I was offered the yellow-mocha cake in the display case which worked out beautifully based on my schedule constraints. The staff member went above and beyond my expectations by additionally writing a personalized message on the cake.I will definitely be a returning customer! More...

Bing's Bakery is the best. They have wonderful customer service. There staff is very pleasant and kind. They can about their product. I have been buying my children's cakes there for 21 years and each year is perfect ruin. Cakes have great flavor are fresh and moist. The prices are reasonable. Their buttercream icing is delicious. My mother loves this place. She always raves about the fruit tarts. I've always loved the fresh baked donuts and the Pecan Pralaine. They've been open since 1946 and have been Delaware's oldest bakery ever since it was originally named Fader's Bakery way way back in 1871. So roughly 145 years.

They've been making everything from scratch for all of this time and they know what they're doing. Everything from Communion Cakes, Graduation Cakes, Wedding Cakes, you name it. I hope they'll be around for another 100 years. More...

I called in about an order on Thursday late afternoon and I needed to have a cake by Saturday for my son’s 1st birthday. I wasn’t able to come in to the store but explained exactly how I wanted it. This review is based on just one order that I placed at this bakery. We ordered a black forest cake to be picked up after 4 days. Had to call in at the last moment to prepare the order one day ahead and they accommodated that request which I am grateful for. The cake was really good too. The employees were very helpful and pleasant. It is convineantly located in Newark Downtown and there is a huge shopping complex parking lot opposite to the place. Chocolate Raspberry Royal Prince cushion fondant cake tasted perfect and looked exactly how we wanted it to look. The raspberry was just as much as needed and the chocolate not overpowering, making it a delicious combination. Happy parents, happy guests and most importantly a very happy kid!
