Pretty decent gym, affordable guest rates, I was visiting and got a day pass. It wasn't crowded and they have a pretty sizable gym with machines and free weights as well as plenty of cardio options. Things seemed like they were pretty clean, and fairly updated stuff. There are rooms for classes, and you can work out in them without being bothered if it is open. The staff was nice and cool, I brought my own lock but the lockers are kind of old school and might have trouble getting your lock on and off the locker. More...

Great gym, my wife and I came to Asheville for the weekend and was in need of a good place to workout. They had everything we needed, and more. Wished there were more gyms like this back home. More...

Was in town for the day.  I paid for a day pass.  Hands down the coolest gym I've been to.  They have a functional area for you crossfitters, a dedicated power lifting room with all the equipment a power lifter or strongman would want.  A cardio and machine weight room and a free weight area.  Great gym and the staff was very pleasant and friendly.  Will definitely recommend for anyone and I will make a point to always visit when in town. Did I walk into a time warp fitness center? Yes, and also one of the most friendly gyms I have had a workout in.  My son and I were on vacation in Asheville and needed a place to train for the few days we  were in town. The hotel fitness center was a joke, so he looked up a local fitness center and found Biltmore.  The guest fee of $10/visit was so reasonable we took the chance and drove over. So happy we did. Yes, the equipment is dated, maybe first or second generation machines by Nautilus, Hammer Strength or various other brands.  The plates and weights are older but hey they still weigh the same as a new one:).  We were warmly greeted by Jake the owner and on our third day his brother Zach, two really nice guys.  Back home in California I am a member of a very high end gym but man did I love the workout I got at Biltmore.  Yes, older but it had everything I needed, run by really nice people.  Funny thing is I found some equipment I used many many years ago and after using them at Biltmore I found that I really missed using them!!  SO, if you are on vacation leave what your hotel calls a fitness center and come over to Biltmore Fitness for a truly good workout with really fine people.  If you live in Asheville leave were you train now and bring your body to Biltmore for a more enjoyable workout. Biltmore Fitness is awesome!  I am so grateful that one of my friends recommended this place to me.  My friend has been going here for years and sings their praises.  She especially loves the owners and the community here.  After years of hopping around to YMCA and Gold's Gym and feeling no sense of community, I decided to join Biltmore Fitness and I am so grateful that I did! This gym is not fancy but she was right, there is a great sense of community here.  I felt it immediately.  People stay to themselves and mind their own business but at the same time, are happy to help with anything and if you want to chat, people are happy to talk.  The owners are super friendly and love chatting when you sign in/leave.  I took a yoga class and had a great time getting to know the other people in the group.  The yoga instructor is really friendly and fun too.  The yoga class wasn't my favorite but I enjoyed the good vibes. This gym looks small from the outside but actually has three floors of equipment!  They have a cardio area of course with treadmills, elipticals, stationary bikes etc.  There are a ton of free weights and weight machines.  They also have a private room for yoga, another for boot camp type classes and a spinning room. I think they also have one for TRX stuff, but I haven't been in there yet. This place is awesome.  I'm so grateful to have found a gym that I really enjoy! More...

This is my favorite gym, out of the many gyms, I've been to throughout my life.  The equipment is slightly outdated... but I'd give up fancy equipment any day for the vibe and support of the owners and fellow gym goers.  This is a legit family who welcomes everyone and caters to everyone's goals and desires.  Trying to lose weight, bulk up, build muscle, train for a marathon etc... let them know and they'll help you.  Love it.  Cannot say enough good things :) More...

This place is AWESOME!!  The type of Gym from before everyone decided that weights needed to be made easier; proper equipment, tons of if, lots of space, well thought out.  If you love to lift - you will love to lift in this gym, period. More...

I loved this gym! Three floors of equipment containing anything you could ask for. The free weights are pretty old-school when it comes to bars and plates. Machines are a little antiquated but operational. The downstairs area has a MMA area, tires, sledgehammer and a powerlifting room. There is also a sitting area on the side of the smoothie bar, I mean honestly it has it all. I had a great time training there and anytime I come back into town this is where I'm going! Train hard! This is a fantastic and comprehensive gym that is locally owned and operated.  They have an amazing variety of machines, free weights and cardio machines to fit almost any need.  In addition, they have an MMA set up in the basement with punching and speed bags as well as a heavy weights room.  I love that it is immaculately maintained in terms of gym, locker room, and bathroom cleanliness and machine maintenance.  Whenever something is broken it is repaired in a timely manner.  I've found the employees to polite, friendly and knowledgeable.  In particular I love that there is plenty of space to move around and it rarely if ever feels crowded.  Also, joining was very easy.  I simply made a onetime payment (no joining fees, membership fees, or maintenance fees).  When deciding on a gym I tried several other local gyms and this was hands down the best in the area.  I couldn't imagine working out somewhere else. There's something simple and comfortable about a local, family owned gym...a place you can count on to always get a great workout in. (Sadly, they're hard to find these days). This gym has all the equipment you need; the atmosphere is friendly and upbeat; it's rarely crowded; and the owners (brothers Jake, Danny, and Zach) are all class acts. Shout out to Jerry at the front desk! More...

Just in town for a few days and looking for a place to workout,  I found this gym.  Nothing fancy,  but it works!  They have every piece of equipment you'd need,  although older,  everything was in good working order. Not pretentious and not crowded either at 6:30am on a Monday.  Lots of cardio equipment and looks like a variety of group classes,  although none going on while I was there.  At $10 per drop in,  I'll be returning tomorrow! Biltmore fitness is a good gym. They have all the equipment you could want. Most of the time there is no waiting around for equipment. Everyone who works there is really nice, kind of like a family. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles that some gyms have, but definitely enough to get a good work out. More...
