I have a 11 month old Shepherd who has been one tough cookie! He was getting very aggressive towards people walking by the window. I had an AMAZING Session with Joe Bihari and he really helped me with my dog. I had been to a few other trainers and NONE showed instant improvement and explained fully the way to "Correctly" train a dog. We had tried numerous trainers and tools that had not worked. We were completely frustrated. Joe worked with my two dogs and greatly helped our family. He is extremely knowledgeable in dog training. Although it's a bit pricey it is worth it. You schedule a two hour training session. The first hour Joe observes the Dog's behavior and also gives a lesson in how the dogs mind works and discusses problem areas and key components of training. The second hour is hands on and Joe walks you through  a few different exercises tailored to your goals. He will not let you leave until he is confident you are able to continue what he has taught you at home. He spent over three hours with us at no extra charge. We are looking forward to staying in touch with him to ensure continued success of our training. More...

When I first moved to the area, I was looking for a place to board my cat for when I was doing renovations and painting so he wouldn't get into things. Bihari took him in and treated him as their own. He was very happy when he came home and if anything more playful, I think they spoiled him! Now that I have a dog I get to use their grooming services and they do a great job every time my dog's nails are always nice and she always smells awesome when she comes out. She almost pulls me into the office because she loves the staff so much she just wants to play with them. I highly recommend bringing your animal here. More...

I was desperately looking for a groomer right before the Easter holiday being that our "regular" groomer was booked and had been booked for weeks. I found Bihari Kennels on google and read all the reviews.So I took a chance and called, not only did Bihari Kennels tell me they were also booked, but kindly suggested bringing Biggy in and they'll squeeze him in anyway. It's like leaving a child somewhere for the first time, I was a bit nervous (guess it showed).The groomer came out to meet me and Biggy, he bonded with my dog, talked to him, played with him and then proceeded talk to me about what I wanted and what he was going to do.I left, ran all my errands, even went to the gym and returned. Biggy was BEAUTIFULLY groomed and his scent was AMAZING! I kept saying how he looked like a brand new dog!I am confident we have found our NEW grooming home! We have been boarding our sweet girl here for a few years upon a couple of reco's from neighbors. When we initially called we were invited for a tour of their facility and were told the history, hours , services etc and answered our many questions. The prices are reasonable, staff friendly. Bihari is wonderful and the people who care of the animals are the best. When our previous kennel said that they don't take blind dogs I called Bihari and they said, "Of course we do! I have a rescue dog.with long white hair, who if fearful of strangers. She has gone to Bihari to be groomed every month,since I have had her. She goes there at 9:00 am and walks right into their office looking for them, as if to say "I'm here" and never looks back when they take her. At the end of the day she always looks amazing! Everyone always comments on how beautiful she looks after she has had her beauty day at Bihari. The staff are kind, sensitive and very knowledgeable . I boarded my son's dog there and after a week she looked great and was as calm as can be. This is the ONLY place I will take my dogs.  My dogs are like my children.  I ONLY trust Bihari Kennels with them.  I have been using Bihari since 1999 for boarding and grooming.  It started with my German Shepherd, who I trusted no one with except Bihari.  Now my shih tzu and chihuahua go there too.  I live in NJ and I absolutely DO NOT mind the drive to Bihari, even if it is just for a standard grooming.  It is so worth it.  Bihari Kennels loves my dogs as if they were theirs.  My dogs love going there as well.  I recommend Bihari with my life.  They are the BEST !!!!! I had been taking my dog, Travis, to Bihari for many years for grooming and it was and always is an exceptional experience. When I had the opportunity to go away, I made a reservation for the dog but I was not aware they took cats. I called local places where I lived in White Plains and one place told me based on the age of the cat they would not accept him. Another place told me I would need to bring the cat in to be tested for temperment before they would consider taking him. I then called Bihari and found out they do take cats. I told them the age of the cat and they said it would be fine to board him. I did call while I was away and they told me the dog was fine but the cat wasn't eating much. I said I know this sounds crazy but can you put the phone by him so he can hear my voice - they did - and he started eating again and was totally fine and happy and healthy upon my return. They do whatever it takes to make you and your pet happy and make sure it is well cared for. They have even brushed my cats while they are there. My cats enjoyed going to Bihari as much as my dogs do. This is the very best place to go with the most wonderful people on staff and an awesome family! More...

I live in New York City (Manhattan), and discovered Bihari Kennels several years ago when I was looking for a safe, convenient, and affordable place to board my dog when we couldn't have him with us for whatever reason. I couldn't ask for a better solution! Bihari is a relatively short drive from the city, their rates are great, and best of all I'm completely confident that they really care about dogs and take pride in their service. I have used this facility for about 20 years to board our dogs and cats. We use their grooming facilities and there is no other place that can hold a candle to this place. When your dog leaves from grooming, you could enter them in to a dog show. Our dogs always found Bihari a fun as well as a relaxing place to go. If you saw our dog, Myles, when he is at Bihari you can tell he has had interaction with all staff members and it was totally positive. He tries his best to hug each member when he arrives. There is truly no other place like Bihari Kennel. You and your pet are always treated with the utmost respect and care. This is definitely a great place to groom or board your dog. The staff is friendly, and know the dogs and their owners. I took my German Shepherd to be groomed here and the owner took time out of his day to give me pointers and show me how to do some behavioral correction. I had even saw him do this with the customer ahead of me. I think that shows that he really cares about his customers. I had heard previously that he does try and work with dogs that come it if he sees some issues and today I learned it is true. I will never be going to petco grooming again, they do a horrible job and they are rude and apprehensive when working on dogs bigger than a rat. More...

I have been boarding my Black Lab here for a few years. Always feel good about leaving him here. The owners and staff are exceptional. My Lab thinks this is a vacation and loves to come here. He gets excited when we pick up his travel bag to come. The rates are reasonable but most important I feel confident leaving him. all the staff know the dogs by name and seem to bond with most of them. Which means he wasn't just put onto a pen and left. A couple years ago, I boarded my Rottweiler there. They seemed nice and there location is convenient, even for people who live in NJ. My dog did fine there. The owner, Joe is conscientious about his boarders. As a vet tech at a NJ hospital, Joe has brought in a clients dog after trying to get it to eat with no avail. When I had my dog boarded there, he was leaving to bring a dog to an animal hospital for vomiting. I think it's important to use a company that is family run, they take pride in what they do.
