Always a must when coming to visit! Ordering the Fried Chicken Adobo Moco is seriously the best. It comes with Rice, crispy Fried Chicken, tomatoes with onion, a runny egg and gravy. Yum. Went here while helping my dad out at a camera show, and picked up lunch for me, my dad and brother. Most of the people eating seemed to be regulars. I got the quesadilla with pork, garlic chicken burrito and lumpia bowl. The fried rice was okay not anything to write home about, the rest was amazing. I LOVE the Benji Burrito. You bite in it and the melted cheese and egg along with the country gravy and delicious fried chicken pieces transport you to Paradise. !!! I love the hashbrowns in it as well. I eat this and I feel like I died and went to Heaven. I am sooo sad when they're not at Uwijamaya's in Renton on the Saturdays that I have Spotlight Toastmasters group nearby down the street at Emery Riddle. Please be there on the 14th. There will always be the critics, but it doesn't say much to the hundreds of followers of Big Boys. If anything, Big Boys founder has taken Filipino food to the new generation of Americans and learned to capitalize on it. Big Boys has taken what's old and redressed it to look hip, and better yet, given it a flavor of its own. Trends change and so do people's taste. I am more of the old traditional brand myself--mom's home cooking, but I like the Big Boys style too. They make it more presentable somehow, so that others who may not have been attracted to Filipino food before, now find it appealing because of its presentation. Had a burger from their truck at a import car show a few years ago at SIR. it was a burger with cheese and with like a mayo Coleslaw.
It was freaking grubbing. Honestly I don't l ok e coleslaw, but gave it a try, it was freaking awesome.
Honestly, I have attended a few Seattle events and hoped we see the food truck so I could chow down on the same burger. Unfortunately, they didn't have it on the menu at the Bite of Seattle.
