Big Al was amazing. His knowledge of running different types of events is deep. We had a B’Not Mitvah party. Big Al listened very well while also providing guidance and suggestions. We wanted to keep the music low and deviate from some of the traditions. Big Al helped us plan a perfect evening. He also spoke to our caterer to help resolve an issue with many of the kids arriving late due to a school event. He suggested reorganizing the traditional schedule to accommodate children arriving later in the evening. I also liked that he provided some factoids related to the music. Otis Redding really helped launch a lot of careers! Last, the dancer, Lego, was amazing. Friendly, creative and energetic. He started an impromptu dance contest towards the end of the event. We hired Al for a 50th birthday party. I can’t say enough good things about him. He arrived early and was all set up by the time we got there. He played every song I requested and some of his own choosing. The best part was that the music was loud enough to enjoy and dance to but still be able to hear each other and have a conversation. A range of oldies to current, due to the guests we had coming to our celebration. He said he had a huge library of music from all genres and over all the years we wanted, and more. We worked with him and provided a small sample sings and artists of what we wanted and he did the rest.

My experience working with Big Al was WONDERFUL! I never had the need to hire a D.J until recently. I was planning a belated Surprise 50th. Birthday party for my daughter Andrea. I typed in D.J's and saw a website for Bark. So I went on the website and filled in the requested information and received a list of 5 D.J's. I began contacting the D.J's on the list. I believe Big Al was listed 3rd.on the list. Al contacted me soon after and then we talked on the phone. It didn't take long for me to realize this was who I wanted to hire. We discussed how many guests were expected, the age range of the guests and what kind of music I was interested in for the event. Al suggested Iemail him a playlist of some of the recordings and artists I would like played. We went over the list and I came to realize the knowledge Al had of music. He made mention of the original artists for some of the recordings and even gave me a bit of history as to how the song came to be. I was quite impressed. It didn't take long before I felt as though we had known each other forever. Al put my mind at ease and just made the entire experience of working with him a real pleasure. We discussed all the details of the age range (4yrs. - 80's) and the fact I preferred music from the 50's, 60's, 70's along with some of the newer stuff just "NO RAP!" Lol! The party was scheduled to start at 2PM and end by 6PM. Al said he'd be there at 12:30 to begin setting up and started to play by 1:40 as guests were beginning to arrive. We had chosen a specific song to play as the guest of honor appeared and Al continued to play until about 6:40 PM which helped to motivate us in cleaning up. Al had been told to feel free to fill in with recordings he chose to be appropriate with our selections and completely nailed. When my Great Grandson requested a song Al said he would check the lyrics first to be sure it was not inappropriate being requested by a nearly 10 year old . I am SO GLAD I chose Al . All of the guests enjoyed all the music througout the party. My daughter and her friend have already decided to book Al for a 21st. Birthday party for her son and his BEST friend in January since they're birthdays are only 1 week apart. Start to finish Al was part of making our party a BIG success. DON'T waste your time checking out D.J's.....do yourself a favor and JUST CALL BIG AL!!!!
