This is my favorite local coffee shop! Stepping into this cozy little cafe means walking straight into the smell of fresh, hot coffee and sweet, warm cinnamon rolls, and it always means a friendly face greeting you and a comfortable seat waiting for you to read or write to your heart's content. Food and drink are reasonably priced, reward program is wonderful for regulars like me, and there's always something new to try. Remember a time before chain coffee shops were at every corner? Where one could go to for a delicious coffee drink, a cozy atmosphere, and hang with friends? Well-that's Between Friends. The whole place is author themed which is so cool to the nerd in me. There's quite a bit of seating and even a fireplace. Scones and other delights fill the pastry case and the hot case at the register has the quiche ready to go! I saw a sign in there for an eating challenge. It said you have to eat 3 big stack pancakes and a 20 ounce milkshake in 30 minutes, then you get the meal free and a t-shirt. I'm a sucker for a t-shirt so I might have to try it. Today I had a CS Lewis, which is a butterscotch iced coffee. My hubby had some chocolate iced latte (can't remember the author name) and my daughter had a Cleary, a mint chocolate chip milkshake. The service was great, friendly and inviting. No pressure for us to hurry through the super long menu to decide. They have a rewards program too, so enter your phone number at the register and start earning that free java!! Definitely the place to go. More...

*Dairy-free options available! I love this coffeehouse! Being a barista, I always support local shops. The owner is sweet to everyone and always working hard alongside her staff! I have not tried the pastries yet...but I am reminded of the award winning cinnamon rolls whenever I walk in. Will definitely have to try! I do however, recommended the Belgian waffles! Yum! They also serve other lunch items such as a small pizzas, quiche, even a stack of pancakes for brunch! My boyfriend and I can usually get two speciality drinks along with two brunch items for around $16, which I think is a great deal quality-wise. I do hope that the house hours extend soon other than on Friday's, I live down the street and would enjoy to be able to work on homework in the afternoon during the week on my days off. More...

Don't be put off by the nearby gas station!!! A friend and I came in this morning. The service was fantastic. They were out of cinnamon rolls which was disappointing. Instead I got a double chocolate muffin. It was delicious! I also got a Hughes latte. Yum!! My friend got a blueberry muffin and a coffee. Both were good. The Atmosphere was so charming. All of the drinks were named after authors. there's a small fireplace with a nice comfy couch. Will definitely be back!!!! More...

This place is great. I received such great service. If you visit, my top 3 recommendations are in this order: homemade cinnamon buns; homemade quiche; and homemade scones. There are other fantastic dishes as well, but these are my favorites. If you want items in bulk, you can get those too. My favorite person on staff is Allan. He gives sound advice on different menu items to try without being pushy. Considering this town is 95% chain restaurant, it’s refreshing having a place that has home baked goods. More...

The interior design is one thing I remember the most, it’s unique and has a very comfy setting. Our friend Jennifer referred us to try, and we were not disappointed. The cinnamon roll was amazing and the way their pastries are presented in the case make it entirely too hard to decide which one you want to try.
