We met Rich back in January when we had enough with Ollie's first obedience trainer who said that Ollie needed to be muzzled at all times and she would never be able to go inside of a pet store. I was tired of coming home from that class in tears every week so with 2 classes left to go there I pulled her out and my husband called around looking for a trainer that would be willing to help us. He found Rich and after he talked to him he told me that I should call him too. After talking to him for about 15 minutes we decided to have him come to our house for help. Ollie is a husky we adopted through a rescue that had a really bad start at her young life. She had puppies when she was about 8 months old and was not good with other people or dogs. After the home session we went through Rich for private obedience lessons and she passed and everything was done without a muzzle. We are now happy to say that Ollie can go into the pet stores and is getting better with other people and getting less reactive around other dogs but is still not able to get too close to the other dogs so we will be working with Rich again to get her moving forward with her training. Rich came to my home to help us potty train and teach him basic skills/tricks our older dog and a refresher for our other dog. After just one visit we were able to learn how to continue their training after he left and taught our dogs how to learn and train with us. Since his visit, our one dog is now potty trained and is getting better with his separation anxiety and our other dog to follow basic commands. He was great with our dogs and has made us extremely confident that our dogs will be well behaved when we being our daughter home! More...

We had been through 2 other dog walking services for our rescued English Bulldog and we were thinking our sweet girl had separation anxiety. We started looking for dog trainers and interviewed two. We picked Richard, and, best decision ever. Turns out she doesn't have separation anxiety at all, just being a cranky girl when being woken up from her morning nap! We know bullies love their beauty sleep! He knows exactly how to approach her and she loves him. He has given us custom in-home training sessions that have taught us so much and introduced us to some fun games we can play to keep her mind engaged. He goes above and beyond just the normal walking and training. We love Best in Home Dog Services and, truthfully, I'd rather keep him a secret and keep him to ourselves, but that's being selfish. Just finished our 4th session and have been totally impressed with progress after every single one! We have 2 year old and an 8 month old and both are making improvements with jumping, barking, commands, and walking on a leash. The pups are exhausted after Richard leaves and they stand at attention as soon as he gets here. We signed up for 5 more classes and would recommend to anyone.
