Glad I hired Haim and his team from Best Home Remodeling.The work was done well, and at a good pace. Working with Ana Gabriela was a joy. I am not necessarily a fan of shopping, let alone shopping for bathroom fixtures, tile, etc. Ana Gabriela made it much more palatable, and her eye for colors, fixtures, and textures is great. This has to be the best contractor in all of the Berkeley area!!! Assi and his crew are great and have an incredibly nice and responsive team. This company just completed a bathroom remodel in my hone that was built in 1911. The bathroom had not been remodeled for 40 plus , so I was ready to get rid of pink tile and a pink tub. Haim and Anna met with me to discuss design options and stay within my budget. They both had good ideas, Anna met me at Granite Expo and helped me navigate through the huge store with multiple choices . I contacted BHR for a bid on a kitchen remodeling that involves removing a load bearing wall and basically tearing down the whole first floor. After meeting a couple other contractors, we decided to go with Assi and BHR. Assi had a lot of great ideas and he was a pleasure to work with. His team was professional and they cleaned up well each day. I would definitely use BHR again for future projects. I feel confident in giving a strong recommendation for Best Home Remodeling (BHR), one of 3 contractors who bid on removing my claw-foot tub and installing a walk-in shower. The first 2 were here for hours, made many phone calls to consult with others and exerted a lot of pressure on me to sign a contract. Assi Zvik of BHR was here for 20 minutes, did not need to call anyone else for advice, and promised to email an estimate, which he did the next day. The price was lower than the first 2, but the scope of work was smaller since he did not see the need to demo my whole bathroom. Assi assured me getting a permit would be no problem despite the small size and tricky plumbing and he got one. Ultimately we were not able to match the existing finishes and the job became considerably bigger but no decision was made without my consent. Assi was very patient and good-natured through our numerous trips to Granite Expo, Home Depot, Moran Plumbing, etc. The job involved a plumber, an electrician, a carpenter, and a tile-setter. Each of these tradespeople was a pleasure to have in my house and did very good work. Assi was here almost every day to troubleshoot and coordinate and often worked alongside the tradespeople. He was always available by phone and maintained his good nature despite the numerous changes I made. The work was continuous with no interruptions. While the job took longer than we had originally planned because of all the changes, and cost more than I thought it would, I felt the charges were reasonable considering the extra work. I have a beautiful bathroom with walk-in, sliding-glass door shower, newly tiled walls, updates to my 100-plus-years old plumbing, a new heater/exhaust/light, new vanity with a quartz top and a matching linen closet. We retained my old tile floor because it was in great shape and went well with the color scheme I wanted. I feel the quality of work throughout was excellent and I am VERY pleased with the results! Small Apartment Kitchen remodel, Albany, CA We are very happy with pleased we hired Best home remodeling. After going through multiple contractors not calling me back or wanting a lot of $$$$ to remodel a small Kitchen apartment, with electrical wiring and sub panel upgrade to support new appliances. Haim and Assi of Best Home Remodeling gave us a good price and were excellent to work with. They listened to our ideas with a great can-do attitude, then came up with suggestions that improved the flow of the kitchen. BHM also got the permits and passed inspections from the city without any issues. Their crew was in and out within 2 weeks. Being an apartment building, their crew minimized the noise in the morning, as to not disturb the tenants who are late risers. I am overjoyed with the results of our recent remodel!  It was a pretty significant remodel with a complete new kitchen floor plan. What I loved best about Assi and his team was the clear advice and planning that was very well communicated from the beginning till the end of the project. Best Home Remodeling not only did a great job with the slate tile flooring of my kitchen. They also gave lots of attention to what I wanted. They have great knowledge of materials and treatments and various options. BHR got me the tiles I wanted even though the local supplier was out of them! I was very impressed with Best Home Remodeling. Used them for renovating my kitchen. They were very professional - always showing up on time, worked very fast, stayed long hours, didn't ask for any additional fees along the way as happened to me years before with another company. They even completed the job prior to the due date originally given. They were especially great at finding solutions to so called challenges along the way and without us having to spend too much money. Loved the fact that they were there for us throughout all stages of this process: from the design to the actual purchasing of the materials, flooring, lights, counter top etc to installation.
