Q&As

I view photography as poetry without words. There always is an artistic expression in the moments of our lives. It should be the goal of the photographer to capture that artistic expression in those very moments that are irreplaceable. The artist should be able to use the lens to emphasize those moments that brings us joy, excitement, love and happiness. What separates the photographer from the artist is having a keen eye to capture beauty and express it in such a way that is greater than life itself.

The process starts with getting to know the client and to understand their vision. There is no small event in my line of work. Every event is special for the client, however short or long in duration. After the client makes a decision of what is right for them, the process may entail pre-shoot planning and direction.

I love being able to memorialize the special moments in some of the most joyous occasions in peoples lives. Seeing the interactions between people and the expressions on their faces when I am engaged in the post production editing process are some of the most rewarding parts of this profession. It truly brings a smile to my face when I edit an image that I know will last for generations to come in the lives of my clients and the stories will be shared from one generation to another.

I decided to turn my passion for art and photography into a profession, because I wanted to do my part in bringing beauty into a world that is more and more believed to be in chaos.
