I WILL NOT RESPOND UNLESS YOU SELECT PRIVATE LESSONS. Rates are $125 for 90 minute initial consult and $100 per subsequent hour long sessions. I specialize in bully breeds, rescue & shelter dogs, and behavioral issues, especially confidence building for fear aggression and phobias.

I’m certified by The Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers (CPDT-KA) and The American Kennel Club (CGC). These certifications required hundreds of hours of documented training, teaching, and study of the latest scientifically based techniques, learning theory, ethology, genetics and classical and operant conditioning. They require continuing education through professional association memberships and have a strict code of ethics. The dog training industry is not regulated (yet) and many people try to pass themselves off as “certified”— but by whom? Don’t make an expensive mistake, either financially or at the cost of your relationship with your dog. The CCPDT is the gold standard in the dog training industry and assures a level of professionalism and quality that should be mandatory for the person who is going to coach you and your dog towards a more harmonious life together.

I am a 100% positive reinforcement, force-free teacher who focuses on your relationship with your dog(s) as the greatest tool you have to create effective change and a more successful life together. I do not use aversive tools (choke, prong, or shock collars) or punishment methods and can show why these techniques are not necessary and are actually damaging to your trust bond with your dog.

I have over 6000 professional (paid) training hours in the past six years. I am experienced in obedience, socialization, separation distress, acclimating a new dog or person to your home, rescue/shelter dogs, aggressive behavior, dogs and children, potty training, canine enrichment ideas, therapy dog training, service dog training, behavior modification, Canine Good Citizen (all levels), and of course, puppy training. Whatever goals you have for your dog, I have either done it or I know where to go for the resources to teach it. Examples are: Agility, nose/scent detection, tricks, canine enrichment and how to use their brains, problem solving, fitness/conditioning with your dog, and public outings.
