I am not your ordinary puppy class! I also work with older dogs. I prefer group class trainings since the dog has exposure to many other dogs and people who are willing to help. This is especially true when you have a dog that is dog or people reactive.

Deresa has been an absolute blessing since the first day we spoke. I have had puppies and dogs before competed and had a therapy dog but nothing prepared me for my Belgium Malinois puppy and we did not get off to a good start and that is another story. I had gone thru a few of trainers before I got hooked up with Deresa. She helped me so much (she also has a Belgium Malinois) and was able to guide me in the right direction. My puppy is now one year old and I am thankful for Deresa's guidance and continued support. We even did the nose work classes and we enjoyed it. My husband and I adopted a German Shepherd puppy and we were referred to Deressa’s training program by a friend. We had no experience with a GSD or formalized training, so we were nervous and intimidated at first.
We pretty much knew nothing, but since we heard of her stellar reputation (especially with the breed), we decided to give it a go. Boy were we pleasantly surprised. She made us so comfortable and her directions were so easy to understand that we could easily follow through with it at home. She explained everything thoroughly and in detail. I’m a pretty shy person, but she really put me at ease which allowed me to take in the information more easily.
I can not recommend her enough. She taught us the skills to be a good pack leader and our dog is flourishing as a result. He is a well behaved dog, who follows commands, and can walk without pulling on the leash. Thank you!

I have known Deresa from Bellask9babies for several years on a professional and personal level. As soon as I adopted my Labrador Retriever I contacted Deresa and enrolled my now 5 years old lab in her class.
I learned so much from her. I decided to kennel train my dog, with Deresas help he is a well trained, responds to his kennel when told, and uses it as his safe space.
The one thing I really loved about the class is, we took them out in public, as a class and socialized the dogs. I never did that with any of my other dogs. My dog is very social and knows how to act in a social setting. Bellask9babies class was well worth the time and money. I even met other Dog Moms who I keep in touch with.

What do you love most about your job?
Teaching people how to train their puppies and dogs so they grow up to be great family pets. It's sad how many folks find new homes for their young dogs because they simply didn't spend the quality time that is necessary during the critical time of the puppies life.
What inspired you to start your own business?
When I worked on the Los Angeles City Fire Department (35 years of service as a Paramedic and Fire Inspector) I helped out many firefighters with their dogs. They encouraged me to help out other people when I retired.
Why should our clients choose you?
I know my stuff! I am straight forward, will not make up stories or lie to you if I cannot help you or your dog. I also have a great sense of humor. I bring multiple years of experience with MANY dogs. I have worked with some dog reactive dogs, however, I do not have experience with training aggressive dogs.
I have experience with dogs of all breeds and sizes.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I provided a socially distant setting that allowed for the dogs to work on their socialization skill, yet their owners apart from one another.
We worked outside with masks on and stayed at least 6 feet apart from each other.
Group training, private training and board and train. I am a certified Canine Scentwork (Nosework) instructor and have classes in K9 Nosework. Check out NACSW.org. This is a fun and rewarding way to bond with your dog. No stress, very confident building for dogs, and this hobby is very good for dog reactive dogs, since only one dog is trained at a time.
I have had several trouble shooting problematic and dangerous behaviors clients. Such as car chasing, bolting from the front door or gate, and excessive pulling on leash. I know the proper equipment to use for the desired results for your dog. I have several confident, secure and calm dogs who are great with their communication and participate in the socialization part of training. Including my dogs and former clients dogs.
