Amazing! They did our mothers lunch this year. Had family and friends over and lunch was delicious. I'm extremely picky and it is really tough to find the quality of food in Westchester. Everything was awesome, party for 45 people-- great display and fabulous food, and the service was superb--and after the party in my house, you couldn't even tell there way a party, that is how fabulously they packed up everything and cleaned up. Bedford gourmet is incredible. The new location is way more convenient with parking, outside tables and much lager inside. The staff is super friendly and will help you with anything..ordering, catering etc. Everything is delicious, the 1/2 sandwiches are perfect and my favorite is the turkey and cranberry. Everyday they make these homemade muffins which are large and exquisite. By the end of the day they are all gone. Since opening the new location, the Bedford Gourmet has become my absolute favorite place to eat a quick bite or indulge in a delicious pastry in all of Bedford and the towns surrounding it. The new location is not only clean, and well stocked, but it creates a warm and inviting atmosphere for the many patrons (and regulars, including me) it sees throughout the day. The amazing setting gives way to excellent service behind the counter. Alex, the owner of the shop, is always there to help you with your order and provide you with a story behind the days new dishes and specials. She and her team really do a fine job at making the experience as pleasant as possible. But all of this would be for naught if it weren't for the food. And thank god for this amazing selection. Every day there's a new delicious special, along with the classics like the turkey cranberry sandwich and the sesame noodles, that will leave you happy and longing to go back to try something else. From the fresh bread, to the amazing pastries and the freshest by the pound prepared foods, The Bedford Gourmet really hits it out of the park in all three categories. The Bedford gourmet is always a treat. The food is constantly amazing - with the usual, delicious staple items like, Spa Chicken, Mediterranean chickpea stew, Soy glazed salmon, & perfectly grilled chicken-but it's greatest items are sometimes a wonderful surprise when you get there! Their holiday catering, (& just all their catering in general) is positively sublime. The every day half sandwiches are always fresh & delicious (my personal favourite is the Asian Tuna sandwich). But when the the staff start getting creative with their specials sandwiches, it's heavenly!! I've had some of the best sandwiches ever here. & don't even get me started on the cheese selection. With that kind of unbeatable variety, & knowledgable staff - you'll never leave with a cheese that disappoints (also because NONE of their cheeses are disappointing!) Also a great little shop to pop into if you're just fancying a latte, cappuccino, or just plain cup of java. Their coffee (especially their iced coffee) is perfectly brewed & out of this world. They have a wide selection of teas as well, it's that more your speed. Amazing selection of oils & vinegars. Endless variety of crackers & all other kinds of wonderful gourmet goodies. If you've never been, then I highly recommend you hop in the car & get there immediately - (assuming you're reading this before 5:30, that's when they close). happiness! a brief sojourn brought us to bedford gourmet - so many delights under one roof! adorably packaged goods (like raw honey, chocolate straws, jams and moutard galore), plus an amazing array of little salads (the hearts of palm salad was TDF), tasty sandwiches of tantalizing combinations, muffins of just the right top-heavy proportions, and so much more. we had to go back just to experience it all over again, and get some APs for the road.
