Bear Springs Hotel

By far one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. The second we walked in the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. We were helped by Krista and if you are lucky enough to be helped by her it is sure to make your trip that much better. She was very informative, answered any questions we had with such enthusiasm, and went above and beyond to give details of the area and places to check out. Her positive energy made the start of our trip that much better! The rooms are nice with comfortable beds and the location is a great spot, especially if you are heading up to big bear as it is right at the base of the mountain. It was rough at the beginning a lot of confusion but Manny the manager accommodated us with a lower rate for our Suite and 30 Dollar comp at the restaurant we had the rosemary chicken sandwich it was delicious..Thank you..💜💜💜

I was seriously injured in their shower.. I slipped and fell and idk what's in there that could have cut so deep.. I'm in constant pain and I'm scared I won't ever be able to wear my favorite heels . . it's a girl thing and the sad part is that no one even bothered checking on me to see if I was okay the next day.. Hotel isn't the greatest! Customer service by night crew is non-existent! Security is a joke! Bistro, restaurant and live band were incredible! I'll review the restaurant separate for 5 stars but the hotel deserves 1 star or less! Supposed sanitized room, yet we found a bag from an occupant before us? What a perfect hotel Bear Springs is. I have stayed here over a dozen times and will continue to come here. The property is always very clean! Rooms are lovely and the beds are SOOOOO comfy!!!!! The staff is all aces and the desk girl that checked me in was June, she was so very sweet and I also had forgotten my ID at the desk and she literally brought it to my room. So the room is ok, the mini fridge could have been colder and it would have been nice to have a microwave. My husband almost fell in the shower because the fixture where the toiletries are supposed to go fell off of the wall and startled him. The shower door also kept on sliding open an inch or two and the small mirror on the wall was also kind of loose. There are only two small towels provided and no extra toilet paper, we stayed for two nights in the deluxe king room. I do have to say the customer service was awesome, notably from Jacob and Carolina since they did provide a birthday card for my husband as well as extra berries for his dessert. Every time we called and asked for something they brought it up right away. Now for the food, the bistro food is so delicious!!! I would have liked for all the ingredients to be in my yogurt, unfortunately no candied walnuts available. Another pitfall was that although a dish was listed on the menu, when ordered they said they did not have it (pork chops). There was also a little glitch when trying to order a meal on Saturday night, it wouldn't allow me to order anything until Sunday morning; they did fix this problem in a few minutes though. You know who is just so great? A front desk concierge who knows what they are doing with grace and skill.That would describe Nathan at the front desk of Bear Springs Hotel. I adore the cozy chic of this hotel but what I really love is the staff who consistently prove how incredibly valuable they are to the Bear Springs hotel team! I recently ran into a problem with a comp given to me by a host and Nathan made phone calls until he resolved it for me so that I could simply relax and enjoy my stay. I loved it here! Just one thing. FIX. YOUR. WALLS. Make them thicker. I don't know. Sound proof them? My family and I listened to neighbors on BOTH sides of our room sing karaoke late into the night. Even after talking to the front, out neighbors continued to serenade us. Very clean rooms and nice amenities. The bistro has very good food even if a little pricy. It's worth the meal. My mom and her sisters came her to celebrate one of their 70th birthdays here (well, at the casino nearby) and were taken away by the staff's kindness and attentiveness. So much so, that they asked me to please leave this review. June and Sandy were incredibly helpful and left the birthday girl a cute card and a small cake which was so appreciated when they got back from the casino at 3 am a little tipsy! It's our first time to check st this hotel, but as soon as we approached the front desk, I knew we were going to get the best of service. Krista at the front desk checked us in with sort of cheers and festivities. My son just turned 16 today. My son was like a politician and saying hello's to everyone. In my rush I forgot toothpaste and shaving kit. No problem, Krista was very hospitable and accommodating. She informed us of the restaurant, swimming pool, and bistro availability. The bar tender Don, was just as pleasant. The restaurant waitress Elizabeth, was also super. What else can I ask for in this wonderful hotel. Well.....surprise, surprise, the waitress brought in a Tiramisu cake adorned with strawberries. Just dandy. Of course, the Bistro house burger were to perfection at rare with very crispy fries. The tuna sashimi was fresh and prepared differently than I'm used to. Different does not deter me in always trying something new. At this point, you might conclude that we're having a great time. I have stayed there numerous times over the last 3 years.  Ample Parking with visible security.  24 hour shuttle to and from local casino, comes every 30 minutes.  Staff is friendly and helpful.  Rooms sizes vary but are clean and each one I've stayed in had a small refrigerator, USB ports, Free Wifi and a tablets with hotel and area information and internet connection.   There are ice machines available on floors 1, 2 and 3.   Quick response to request for fresh towels or other room essentials.  Room Service recently became available 24/7.  Has a Pool and hot tub.  Restaurant and Bar.  Places to eat and shop in hotel complex and across the street.   Very Close to 330/210 fwy on ramp.  note: as with most hotels there is a $100 to $150 deposit required for each room payable via Debit or Credit card only.    Also, Masks are required in all open areas and their is a health screen area at the main entrance. My stay at bear springs hotel was amazing, from the moment I walked in the hotel  was so welcoming and clean. I was greeted so politely upon arrival by Sam. As I waited for the elevator several housekeepers smiled and said hello, they made me feel like family. The room was just what I wanted a get away from home. As I walked down by the bistro, I can smell amazing food and couldn't resist not to look at the menu. I was intrigued by the talent of the chef Kyle and his creativity this menu had to offer! My husband and I went to Bear Springs last week to try out their bistro for the first time. We have only been out to a few establishments in the last few months due to COVID-19 concerns, however, I was pleasantly surprised at how well Bear Springs is handling the current circumstances and the precautions they are taking. It was especially nice being able to dine out in a clean and safe environment. Came here for an event and we used the outside patio, so I can't speak about the other amenities or the rooms. Upon entry, there was a temperature kiosk that we had to get scanned -- which is understandable. All the staff were wearing masks. The interior, including restaurant/dining  was clean and very nicely decorated. The staff that served us were very professional and worked very timely. Do note that it may get progressively hotter in the patio, but they brought out some mobile umbrellas which were well appreciated. As for the food, it was okay. Beware stay away you won't sleep at this hotel...I stayed here on Friday sep 10th. I was late checking in coming in from Los Angeles so I called the hotel twice to let them know, they said all good we noted your reservation. .. 8:30 pm I finally check in, go shower get ready to go check out casino... go back to hotel at 2:30am. At 3:30 I'm rudely awoken by a loud knock on my door my husband goes to door and it's the hotel's security guard...he asks him "what room number are you in? How did you get in here?Wtf ... I go to door guard asked me to answer the room phone that front desk needs to talk to me... the male on the phone says " I do apologize we have you as still arriving and not checked in... NOT MY PROBLEM!!! OK SO ALL THIS UGENCE AT 3:30am security guard knocks on door twice and phone rings twice!!!! Saturday morning I go to check out ask to speak to a supervisor sure he listens to me took notes and my name and number,email too!!! Never heard from him or anyone at hotel so I finally called hotel asked to speak to supervisor of course all I got was " oh we gave security guard a punishment but can not talk about it... I have never been treated like this at any hotel. $320 for that one night!! Never again. More...

We stayed here spur of the moment for a Birthday trip and Krista went above & beyond to make sure we got a special room that had a bathtub. We loved the awesome shuttle that takes you to the Casino and when we got back I had the best surprise of a pice of cake sitting on the bed and a signed card from Krista!!!  Brought a tear to my eye. That was literally the best surprise and really made the end of my Birthday and night. Thank you so much Krista!!  I hope to be back soon and thank you in person!! More...

I love staying at this hotel. I like that they do a Mini health screening before you can enter including including temperature check check at the front door. The rooms are very clean as a matter of fact when you walk in you smell the The aroma of cleaning products. They give you complimentary coffee and bottled water. The beds are very comfortable.  My only gripe was that if you stay on the side facing the freeway it's a bit noisy and the TV seemed to be a bit small to me. I also discovered that they have a shuttle that takes you to the casino. They also have a restaurant and bar that are open.  The tables seem to be spaced out for social distance sing and not very crowded with a limited amount of seating. This is a great location for the hotel and if you go to the casino it's literally about a 5 or 6 minute drive.    There is also a Walmart and other stores in walking distance. More...

I will only give it a one star for looks. Ok so drove up and have to say very pretty.  I was so impressed especially knowing we have a free night from San manual casino.  Ok don't let it fool you. You get what you pay for.   I'm guessing they have better quality rooms for paying guest.  Which believe me as much as I spent at San Manuel tonight I paid for it and probably everyone's in this hotel.  That's  a whole other story with machines extremely tight, ridiculously so. Whatever win or lose still looked forward to our romantic stay at hotel. The room we got was nice and decent however .....we itched all night and that was after taking showers before bed mind you.   Felt bites along with itching.    I was so grossed out. Bed bugs for sure.  Almost woke husband to leave but after he finally feel asleep thought I'd just try and stick it out because we have plans out this way today.  So along with the bed bugs and horrible time with that If that's not enough.  We don't get away too often and was so looking forward to a peaceful night sleep (no kids etc). Ok well heard neighbor come in next door.  Heard her taking and crying about her boyfriend.   Her bed bath as up against wall of ours.  I know her whole life story now because I can hear every word these walls a paper thin.   It went on for hours.  I didn't know to knock on her door and give her advice or tell her to go to sleep.   Of course I did nothing but put pillow over my head which then head itched from bugs in pillows I'm sure. Face feeling bit all over.   Worst hotel stay in my life. Mind you I've never written up a review ever on anything.  Had to on this place.    Go somewhere else period to stay. More...

THE BISTRO On a holiday such as Father’s Day I expected a loud bustling crowd, but was treated to an intimate family atmosphere. With an appetizing menu that matched the serene setting. Our group, which included two young adults with voracious appetites, were well satisfied with the savory & generous fare. My only regret was that the CHEF’S SEASONAL MENU A 6 course “Culinary Tour of Italy” was not available until after 5:00.
