This was our second remodel project with Bayern Builders, and after the fantastic they did on our kitchen and main level of the house, we were just as pleased with the work on our lower level family room, office and laundry room. Joe helped us with a plan, gave us an estimate and met all expectations by completing on time and within the budget. As usual, his team was prompt, professional and kept everything super clean! We were very comfortable with having the guys in the house both while we were home as well as away at work.

This is the third time I have used Bayern Builders for a major project in my house. Joe Wasler and his team are terrific! I particularly like the fact that people who worked on my home six years ago are still Bayern Builders employees or subcontractors . They keep the work area clean and are sure to put down tarps when they're going in and out of the house. And the primary woodworking guy is amazing--he has created a curved wooden archway between my kitchen and dining room, multiple customer built-in bookshelves and an array of built-in cabinetry.

The reason why I've used Bayern Builders so many times is that Joe (the owner) cares about his work and does things like he would do if it were his own home.

You may be able to find someone to do your job cheaper, but I would be wary of that. Bayern Builders prices are fair and lower than what a lot of others charge in my area.

I think it speaks volumes that, even after nine months of work on my house this year, I would DEFINITELY use Bayern Builders again. More...

We met Joe and his team on a recommendation from Tri-Star Cabinets and are thrilled with the outcome of our new kitchen, main floor tile and trim! Growing up in a family of builders I have very high expectations of the craftsmen who work in my home. Extremely reliable and professional from the early bidding stages through the final touches. Joe handled a large project for us including tile floor, adding wood floors, and complete gut and remodel of a 1970's kitchen that is now the showpiece of the home. We would highly recommend Bayern Builders. Joe is a down to earth funny guy, but at the same time very professional. He helped with creative ideas to design our kitchen. If you're looking for someone who likes to think outside the box as he says he's your man. We were very happy with the workers also who were friendly but professional also. We selected Bayern Builders for the complete renovation of our kitchen and a partial renovation of our master bathroom. We could not be more pleased with the process and the results. The work required the existing kitchen to be completely dismantled and new high end custom cabinetry installed in its place. The kitchen layout was changed, which affected drywall, plumbing & electrical. New top end Sub-Zero, Wolf & Miele appliances were installed. The bathroom likewise involved a new arrangement of sinks & cabinetry. Every Bayern craftsman who worked on this project was of the highest caliber and the communication and cooperation could not have been better. A decade ago, Joe and his crew did a major remodeling of our kitchen and also installed hardwood floors on the first floor of our home. The work exceeded our expectations in terms of quality and timeliness, so when we relocated this fall to be closer to family and to "right-size" to a single story home, we contracted with Bayern Builders again to undertake remodeling, new construction, and updating of this home, and we couldn't be happier with the results. After several estimates, I went with Bayern Builders. Joe arrived on time for the estimate and took his time to explain all of the options and made several suggestions to consider that would not change the price of the estimate.
The work was high quality and with attention to detail. Several changes needed to be made once work began and Joe did not take advantage of this and overcharge.
Communication was excellent and I could not ask for a more genuine local, honest company.

Timing of tare down, flooring, and painting was well coordinated by Joe Wasler with his men and the various contractors. His men were dependable. They arrived and left when they said they would. I initially hired this company to install the new kitchen cabinets I purchased from Tri Star Cabinets in New Lenox. The Tri Star salesman recommended Bayern as one of their top installers. When Joe came out to meet with us I asked him if they did other remodeling jobs. After several meetings we decided to install a solid oak floor throughout our entire 1st floor, remodel our kitchen and dining area, gut and completely redo our master bath and retile our other 2nd floor bath. The entire job took 10 weeks to complete. Joe plus all his crew were friendly and professional at all times. They were very clean as we continued to live in our house the entire time except for the two weeks we were on vacation. The workmanship was excellent and the project manager Mark had great attention to detail. Four years later we are still very pleased with the job that was done. The one things that stands out for me is that Joe the owner is a man of his word. Things that he said he'd do he always followed through on until everything was done to our satisfaction. Three years after the job was completed our kitchen under cabinet lights were flickering on and off. I called Joe and he immediately diagnosed it as a faulty dimmer switch.
