Mike came out to inspect our termite situation. Â He was very professional and patient and detailed when explaining the issue and the treatment. Decided to go with Bay Pest Solution for their no-exaggeration approach and their great warranty. Also decided to sign up for their quarterly pest control service as well. The first time, to get rid of rats seemed too fast and not thorough enough.  I still had mite bites two months late.  But then Josh came to deal with mice and he was extraordinary.  He walked around the whole house and found an entry place that the first time was not seen. He put traps for rats and for mice. He was very kind, professional, and  really thorough,  At the beginning I assumed someone would do what Josh did, namely, search around the outside of the house for entry places.  He found four--cracks in wood, vents, etc. The first person did not do as thorough a job. And one person came back here at night to see why I was still getting mite bites.  That is not the best time to search for entry holes or rats in the basement.  Alas, you can only get Josh for rodent problems, not for a real search for rats and mice and holes in your house. I did not know what he was doing since it was very late in the day and very dark. So I cannot review his work, but he did seem to take careful notes for future techniciansThose were my words that he used and he wasn't here in the daylight and I don't think that's the best way to look for tracks and rats. Ricardo was very nice and professional. I was worried about fleas and Black Widows I had recently found, and he sprayed everything inside and out. I found several dead Black Widow bodies over the next several days, one even in a box of books I had not yet unpacked from our recent move. I was super grossed out and worried about these spiders and fleas, and Ricardo reassured me they would all be taken care of with his treatment - and so far, no issues with either pests! Tayler from Bay Pest Solution did a good job treating subterranean termites on my property. But the company they outsource the fumigation to Best Care Fumigation, was a totally different experience. Best Care Fumigation did not take care of my property or show any respect. One of their crewman jumped from the 2nd story roof down to the 1st story garage roof. The whole garage roof flexed and moved when he landed. I can understand not holding them accountable for damages to the roof when they install the tent but jumping from the 2nd story to the garage roof is not acceptable. I will be getting an independent roof inspection and sending them the bill for inspection and damages. If Bay Pest Solution will be performing the work them they will do a good job but if they outsource to Best Care Fumigation, ask for another fumigation company. More...

I was a little skeptical about using Bay Pest Solutions when I found out they are out of Pleasanton and I'm in San Mateo. However, after speaking with Mike, I felt that they were very knowledgeable about rodent problems . Mike was very patient and answered all of my questions and concerns. Ricky came out, checked out the problem and advised us of the solution and cost. Once again, I felt very comfortable that this company knew what it was doing. All of their technicians are very friendly and knowledgeable and are willing to answer any of your questions. They do subcontract out their insulation work. Even though the company did a good job, they weren't very timely. I ran into a few problems with the job, but the company was very gracious and made it right. They do need to work on their scheduling and not call the day before the appointment  A bit more advanced notice would be preferable. We are continuing with their monthly service to make sure our visitors stay out of the attic. Would we use them again? Absolutely! More...

TLDR: Ask for Cody, he's the best.I've been using Bay Pest for two places I've lived now. In my last apartment, the building was super old and there were all kinds of pests coming in from different sources - I was dealing with mice, roaches, fleas, etc. I also have a pet rabbit so I was worried about pest control chemicals harming her delicate system. I called Bay Pest and the front desk can be a little scattered, but I got through and Cody came out to inspect my apartment. He was incredibly helpful, thoughtful, answered all my questions and explained how everything would work, and alleviated my concerns about the rabbit's health with the pest control chemicals. My building had sent out a pest control person who was absolutely useless in comparison to Cody. I've now moved to another apartment that spiders love, and Cody once again came out to save the day. He's super fast, friendly, and thorough. I only ask for Cody any time I need service. 15/10. More...
