About

Hi There
I have been where you are. As a single mom of a special needs child, dating, the grief and growth of relationships and a search for what I want, what I need, who I want to be with, what is my purpose,,
I have degrees from Harvard and Stanford but that is not what makes for a great coach.

I looked at hyperbaric facilities all over the bay area and chose Bay Area Hyperbarics. I'm very glad that I did. Not only was it the least expensive of all the facilities I looked at, it had a very welcoming feel to it. Now, three months and 60+ sessions later, I'm incredibly glad about my choice. The staff at the Los Altos facility are terrific -- experienced, helpful, and warm. It's always a pleasure to go there. Hyperbaric oxygen has improved my health enormously and I'm very grateful. I recommend Bay Area Hyperbarics without any reservations. More...

A nice location and a previous home on Bascom. There are four chambers, two metal which I call submarines and two clear tops. Currently the techs are Jeremy and Jorge. They're both very friendly and knowledgeable. I've never been forgotten about and left overnight for example. JK. The experience which they will tell you about is kind of like scuba diving going down to about 33 feet. I'm a certified diver so I'm familiar with how that works. The session lasts about 2 hours. The chambers that they use are the ones where you wear an oxygen mask instead of the chamber being filled with oxygen. A really cool aspect of it is that you get to watch a DVD while you're being treated. They have a library of DVDs and Blu-rays, they're not too current, but it's something to watch or you can bring your own. More...

The process of undergoing Oxygen Therapy, at first, was daunting (I felt confined in a small chamber, and my minor claustrophobic senses kicked in). I take Oxygen therapy sessions to recover from a drastic fall (~ 55ft at the University of California at Santa Barbara in 2012), and have thoroughly become appreciative of Oxygen Therapy nowadays. I recently went to Bay Area Hyperbarics for several visits for oxygen therapy.  From the moment I walked into their warm, cozy, clean and friendly environment, my mind was at ease.   The facility is in a converted and charming house and it feels safe and comfortable.  They have two hyperbaric chambers that are clear and you can see out of, if you are the type of person that may get a little claustrophobic like me...it was not a problem for me at all!  Each patient also has their own TV to watch while you are getting a treatment and they have lots of movies/DVD's to choose from.  One of the male nurses, Jessie, explained everything to me on how oxygen therapy works with  patience and compassion.  One of the medical assistants, Tatiana,, is literally an angel!  While you are getting your oxygen therapy, she stays in the room the entire time, and she checked on me frequently to make sure I was comfortable. If you have the need or are considering Hyperbarics/oxygen therapy, Bay Area Hyperbarics is a God-send and I recommend them highly! Bay Area Hyperbarics in Los Gatos is a dream (and prayers) come true.  The staff Tatiana, Nick, and Linda are outstanding! .  My Mom (71) almost lost her leg just below the knee.  This wound would not heal.  After 3 weeks in the hospital she was sent to Bay Area Hyperbarics for additional treatment.  We have seen visual improvement every single week.  We had never heard of this treatment but now highly recommend it to anyone who wants to heal everything from open wounds to lowering blood sugar. (Moms blood sugar is always lower when she is done with her session, she is type 2diab)   I should mention that we do have to drive 60 miles RT every weekday and will continue to do so for the next month or 2.   I must say that since I am the only driver for my parents and my Dad won't go anywhere without my Mom it is a true gift that the environment at Bay Area Hyperbarics is so very welcoming and they truly care not just for the clients but also for us travelers that need to stick around in the very comfortable (like a home) waiting room. I typically do not have time to write reviews being a FT mother of boys, but I had to spread the word about the amazing staff at BAH. My son has gone through 27 out of 40 dives at the clinic for global developmental delays and already he has shown results such as increased body strength, balance, communication, cognition and interactivity. But what we look forward to as much as these miraculous daily developments, is the warmth, care and friendship we receive with the staff. Nick and Ryan are a part of our daily morning routine as our appts are in the early AM. They both make us feel welcome, cared for and they sincerely care about our son's progress and how it has affected the wellness of our family. It's a challenge when you seek care for your special needs child, but when you find providers that are sincere and caring, it makes a world of difference on any parent's journey. I highly recommend Bay Area Hyperbarics! More...

Post-operative hyperbaric treatment, and specifically Bay Area Hyperbarics, were suggested by my wife's surgeon to reduce edema (swelling). Clinical studies have shown that  increasing the amount of oxygen in the bloodstream is effective in doing so. Although the facility is closed on weekends, they agreed to provide treatment on a Saturday following surgery the day before. This respect for patient carried through to the actual treatment, which was caring and professional (thank you David). More...

I highly recommend seeking treatment at Bay Area Hyperbarics.Lisa (the owner) has a great interest in helping people to get healthy.  She gave me excellent guidance of how to heal my dental infection and helped me to understand how chronic infections can lead to many other symptoms like chronic fatigue and depression.  She also provide guidance on how hyperbarics may benefit aspergers - an issue my husband has.I have undergone 28 treatments to date (2 more to go).  My chronic sinusitis has clear up, my brain fog has cleared and much of my vitality has been restored.   In addition, the treatments are enabling my jaw bone to regrow which will enable me to have a much needed dental implant! The staff is excellent.  They, too, are very knowledgeable.  They are attentive to the patient's needs and genuinely care about their progress.Bay Area Hyperbarics are also excellent at working with the patient's insurance so that they can get optimum coverage for the treatments they need.I am very glad that I met Lisa and am experiencing the many significant health benefits of hyperbarics! Lisa and her group of caring tech's (David and Jessy) are the best! They have treated me for several issues who's outcomes were wonderful. Lisa and her staff have made me into a firm supporter of Hyperberics. They bend over backwards to make you feel welcome and are very interested in you getting better. How easy it is to spend 90 minutes relaxing and watching your favorite DVD while you are being treated. The worst part of treatment is your movie usually hits the chase about the time your treatment is done.  But don't despair, the Tech's always note where you were in the movie so you can start back up at that point in your next treatment. Beautiful, clean office with really nice, knowledgeable technicians and short wait time. They deal with the insurance matters and told me upfront with the cost would be for the appointment without coverage. The clinic manager, Lisa, answered all my questions and was able to provide suggestions for other resources to complete my circle of care. After seeing other hyperbaric clinics i found bay area hyperbarics a breath of fresh oxygen! More...
