The coaches at Crossfit Battlecry have actually brought me to the point where I amaze myself with what I can do. No matter what challenge you might face - physical or mental - it is as if they are fine-tuned to immediately provide a modification or solution or a plan - and they clearly find a lot of joy in doing this.

As far as the members go, they are crazy hard working, humorous and warm and have been known to do an extra round just to keep me company and cheer me on when needed in finishing a WOD.

I came here (convinced by a friend) a bit hesitantly as I felt that Crossfit may not be able to help me meet my goals of reducing my body fat and adding lean muscle mass. I could not have been more wrong. I am 51 and a majority of my exercise is running and road biking, but through a series of injuries my fitness level had fallen. Coach Ricky immediately showed a personal interest in helping me develop an overall program to achieve my goals. We initially focused on the core moves with a focus on proper technique and range of motion. We also discussed proper nutrition and my outside cardio work. Individual attention was given at a level I would normally only expect from a personal training studio. I had very good, measurable results within the first month and I would recommend CrossFit Battlecry to anyone! At first it was hard for me to go and now it's hard for me to leave every day after class. Battlecry is like going to a family reunion where everyone is in great shape. There are inside jokes, relationships, good music and, most importantly, role models; it's super inclusive no matter what level of fitness you are at.

On my first day learning the foundations, I told the head coach I didn't want to look like "those" girls, the muscular athletes that compete at elite levels. Now, I work every day to perform at a fraction of the level "those" girls do.

It's scary and wonderful and it hurts in the best way possible, but to see results you have never seen before you have to do things you have never done.

Great place to work out. I am a drop in for several weeks and all coaches have been amazing and take the time to go over every move to make sure I am safe . Modifications are always on the screen for any skill level. Love these peeps. More...
