First experience at Barrio lived up to all the hype! Service was prompt and informative. Our server described the menu options and ordering system, offering recommendations, specials and suggestions. The blackberry margarita with ginger sugar rim was not overly sweet and had a great tequila backnote. The Pacifico on draft was crisp and cold. We ordered the special guac and queso blanco for appetizers, in addition to the bottomless fresh hot tortilla chips and house salsa. The queso alone was worth the trip - a smooth melty cheese sauce that paired well with everything. The build your own tacos offers endless selection and el jefe's especiales take the guess work out of great flavor combinations. We ended up having three drinks, two appetizers, three build your own tacos, and two special tacos. Each item is unique and flavorful. Barrio Gateway is located in downtown Cleveland near the stadiums and arenas. They sell a variety of Mexican food including delicious tacos. Expect to wait for a table before and after games as Barrio does not accept reservations. Service was observant, checking on our meals and making sure beverages were full.Order food from the menu or customize your taco order to your liking. Prices average $3 to $4 per taco determined by the type of taco and the filling.
