We had a great experience with Jerry and are so glad we called him! He did a fantastic job explaining and teaching us how to ensure our dog sees us as the pack leaders and doesn't have to be anxious, barking, protecting all the time. He took time to explain, give examples of behavior, and evaluate our pup's habits so we could correct her and build her confidence. We hired Bark Busters 9 years ago to help with our 2 dogs before our first baby arrived. We had great success with the techniques. When one of our dogs died, the surviving dog developed some extreme behavior problems. Thanks to Jerry our rescued, pit-mix, Kylie went from an over-defensive and territorial dog to a relaxed and welcoming puppy in ONE SESSION! !! Now we can have guests without any apprehension. Jerry has been a great trainer for my highly energetic 9 month old puppy. He had issues with mouthing and walking on the leash. It had been quite a struggle to put his collar on and he constantly pulled on the leash. In just one session with Jerry, he was healing and was more attentive to commands. Jerry is an excellent dog trainer! We hired him for our two three-year-old dogs who never really received formal training. After two sessions with Jerry, we can see a noticeable difference in our dogs. Not only are they more mindful, but they seem much more relaxed as well as attentive to us as their pack leaders. Immediately we saw ALL three of our dogs responding to the training that Jerry provided to us on our first day. Jerry did a fantastic job teaching my husband and I how to communicate with our 7 month old coonhound rescue. We initially called Jerry because of a couple concerning situations that took place in the first few weeks we brought our dog home. He made arrangements to come the very next day and we were able to see a HUGE difference in our dogs behavior just after our first session. Jerry is an excellent and thorough teacher. He took time to listen to what my dog's issues were and suggest the best way to deal with them. My husband and I I saw positive results in our dog's behavior the same day and his behavior has continued to improve. Jerry's presentation helped us to see how we needed to behave as the pack leader in order to let our dog step back and not feel he has to be in charge. Having one-on-one training was especially beneficial since all the focus was on my dog (and not someone else's), improving his behavior and how my husband and I needed to communicate with our dog. We are simply amazed this is the first professional dog training that actually has results. Our dog Hershey has issues that we as his humans did not understand how to train him properly. Jerry has been instrumental in our success working with our rescue dog, Laci. She is a two year old Dachshund we rescued from "Saving Grace Rescue" two months ago. We have used his techniques and continue to see improvements that includes aggression towards my husband. He is now able to walk her on a leash and she accepts him as her pack leader. My husband and I highly recommend Jerry to work with any dog. He is thorough, patient (with dogs and humans) and takes the time needed to make sure that the problems are really worked through. We had been having aggression issues with one of our dogs. After two lessons, we are now able to walk our dog in the neighborhood without him lunging or even barking at other dogs. He walks calmly and happily. He will even walk with other dogs he does not know. Jerry taught us how to communicate with our dog in a way that dogs understand. We discovered that Gus is reacting out of fear of other dogs. Once we learned how to communicate to him that we were the protectors and that he did not need to be afraid, Gus relaxed. Jerry, with his superb dog training skills, saved our family from having to give Charlie away, our one year old black poodle. Charlie is adorable. He is affectionate and full of energy. The full of energy part of Charlie is the part that my husband and I couldn’t control. We have three children ages five, seven, and ten. When our children had play dates, Charlie thought that the children were there to play with him. He jumped on our children’s friends and their parents and when he was ten months old started to growl and nip too. We just finished our fist session with Jerry at Bark Busters and could not be more pleased with the training so far! Jerry took the time to walk us through the training strategies and basic dog behavior before we got started, and answered all of the questions we had during the session.
