Andy is the best. After having a bad experience with a previous dog walker, we found Andy and we are so grateful that we did. He takes our 4 year old am-staff 5 days a week and she loves him (which is rare for her). We also use Andy for boarding when we go out of town. It is great to have someone who we can trust fully to take care of our pup and we always know she is in good hands. We would absolutely recommend Andy for anyone looking for dog-care in the Seattle. We love Andy! We started leaving our golden retriever puppy, Eddie, with Andy when she was only about 10 weeks old and he kept great care of her! She loved spending her days outside at the dog park with her friends and we loved the peace of mind we received knowing she was in good care with Andy. Andy watched Eddie most work days for a little over six months until we moved out of Belltown to Shoreline. We still bring Eddie back to Andy when we take trips for overnight boarding because she misses him and her doggy friends so much! We even sometimes will play old videos of Eddie with Andy's voice (because he sends video and picture updates while under his care) and she goes crazy trying to find him! He's a great resource for overnight dog sitting as well as doggy daycare if you're in the downtown/Belltown area! Your dog will quickly fall in love and Andy in love with your dog! More...

Andy's place has basically become my dog (Buster's) second home, and we know he could not be happier based on how happy and tired he is every time we pick him up. That's entirely due to the amount of love and care Andy gives to all of his clients' dogs as if they were his own. Anytime you know you'll be away on a vacation, or working too late to get home and take your loved ones out on time, know that you can trust Andy to give your pet the attention they deserve, and you'll always be in good hands. Bark-Buddies, which is owned by Andy, is great. My dog Baby loves Andy and gets so excited when she sees him. Andy goes above and beyond when it comes to taking care of dogs. He helps with obedience issues and training and gives more of his time than asked for. He is also very good at communicating and is easy to get ahold of. I trust Andy to take care of my dog, which includes entering my home when I'm not there. He does a great job of taking care of multiple dogs at once and keeping them in line (no easy task!). Dog Buddies has been an effective and reliable resource for me as a first-time dog owner. Andy has looked after my 3 month old puppy and taught him how to play and safely interact with dogs of all shape and size. When we moved to Seattle from California, I found myself forever trying to get cat sitters when leaving on vacation (sometimes at the last minute! ). Andy Buchanan-Carter at Dog-Buddies Adventures & Training has taken care of our feisty cat, Cleo on several occasions and done a stellar job! Andy is very personable, extremely reliable and SO great with our cat. Not only does he come over to feed her, scoop the litter box, etc. but he also spends some time actually playing with Cleo and often snaps pics of her to text me while we're away on vacation. It makes my day to know our cat is in such competent and loving care at our place. Andy is very flexible and trustworthy and has done such a terrific job that I wanted to take a moment to recommend him to other cat AND dog owners. Although we don't have a dog, I've seen him dog-walking in our Belltown neighborhood; happy doggies in tow, so I know he must do an excellent job with dogs as well! Andy is prooooobably my puppy's favorite person. To my dog, he's like the favorite cool uncle you wished you could live with when you were a kid, but mom and dad made you stay home. But seriously, Andy is the best. He's an awesome guy, great to work with and incredibly knowledgeable about dogs. Any behavioral issues that come up with my GSD puppy, he lets me know right away and tells me how we can work on it. I'm so thankful to have Andy just a text or phone call away. There's no other person I would trust as much as Andy with my baby for daycare or overnight stays. Highly recommend. More...

Andy has worked with us since April 2016, and our dogs absolutely love him! They run up and give him doggie kisses when they see him. For us, it was important that both of our rescue dogs had socialization opportunities with other dogs. Since we didn't know our dogs backgrounds, I was nervous but knew they were in good hands. We love Andy! Â Lexie is our 4 legged baby and full of energy, she can be a handful but loves other dogs and people. Â We recently moved from Austin and were searching for a close and affordable option for boarding Lexie, which we discovered was not easy to find in downtown Seattle. Â I found Andy on Yelp and met him at the local dog park and instantly loved his energy with his pack of dogs and how quickly Lexie integrated with them. Â We have left Lexie with Andy multiple times and are always pleased. Â Every time she sees him at the dog park she goes nuts - she loves him and his whole pack and that makes it so easy to leave her when we travel. Â I know she is happy and well taken care of, he is sweet enough to even send us pictures of their adventures and updates. I moved to downtown Seattle in October, and my already socially anxious and hyperactive dog's undesirable behaviors got even worse -- he developed leash aggression and general growliness around other dogs. While I know he's actually a big chicken, he does have a pretty intimidating bark, so I decided to look for a sitter I could trust to help him with these issues. Domo instantly took to Andy, and I'm happy to know that he has a home base here with plenty of other dogs to hang around and a human who actually cares about their well being. He's also super accommodating of my schedule and I appreciate the general flexibility. My dog is a shiba mix, so he'll always be some level of stubborn and naughty, but Andy brings out his better side, and I notice small improvements in his behavior every time I've left him there for a couple of days. UPDATE: we left Ari with Andy for 10 days while we were on vacation and I can't recommend him enough for boarding. Our dog improved even more so and had a great time. Andy is truly a dog whisperer and I felt safe leaving my dog in his care for such a long time! Andy is a miracle worker! We moved from central Indiana to Seattle with our very socially anxious 4 year old dog. After a few months of maladjustment we decided we had to get our dog some training classes  so she could at least function in the city. After one session she was hanging out with other dogs without having a complete meltdown but after about 6 weeks she's a brand new dog that loves other animals and there is no longer anxiety for her or us. Andy is really great with dogs, knowledgeable, and really cares about your dogs well being. I highly recommend him for training services and walking. Ari loves her new found friends and we love that she's no longer uncomfortable in a city full of other dogs. More...

Andy is the quintessential dog person. He absolutely and unconditionally loves dogs and dogs absolutely love him. He has an intuitive understanding of dog behavior and is sensitive and patient even with behaviorally difficult dogs. We have a 4 year old lab/pit mix rescue with crippling separation anxiety. Our dog is a wonderful pup, but he's strong and a demonstrated escape artist (he's escaped from every crate we've put him in except his current padlocked velociraptor cage; he taught himself how to open doors and dug his way through a deck at our old house), so he needs 24 hr attention. Andy has been a godsend in helping us care for our problem pup! He is consistently available, even on relatively short notice, and our dog is IN LOVE with him and his pack! Andy is truly the dog whisperer of Seattle. He took my wild dog that I feared was too old (5 years old) to learn to behave, and made an amazing change in our lives. Andy is reliable, consistent in giving communication with updates on his training sessions and really gave us the tools to help carry over the positive behavior changes that he was able to achieve.
