Went here for dinner on a Thursday night. They have a small parking lot which is nice and there is also street parking available. I think you can also park in the train station lots for a fee of course. We ordered the patatas bravas for our app- great decision! Tasty sauce on top and good enough to share with another person. I ordered the fork and knife Cesar salad which was a good portion. If your moderately hungry I suggest adding a protein so it's filling. They had sangria pitchers for $15 which was a great buy! I shared it between one other person and it got us feeling just right. The waiter was so attentive and always at our table to re fill our water glasses and sangria glass. This bar is great! We recently had an event there last week to raise money for The Special Olympics. The owner, Hector, was extremely accommodating and generous. He provided amazing food and drink. Big shout out to Hector and the entire Bar Americana staff. We hosted a fundraiser last night for the Special Olympics of NJ in honor of a Cranford family and they couldn't have been more accommodating! ! We had a crowd of over 100 people and the food, live music, and venue was perfect. Anyone looking to have a fundraiser or party should definitely do it here!! More...

I had a joint birthday brunch at Bar Americana with 20-25 guests. Ramon called during the week to make sure that we knew where we were sitting, to check in on the number of guests and to offer specials. Just to set a precursor, I am a resident of cranford and have been coming here quite often for about a year. All off the staff is always very welcoming and friendly. I usually sit at the bar as I mostly come for happy hour for a few drinks and a light meal. To be honest the bar staff is what really keeps me coming back. They are always more than happy to help, willing to give recommendations, and are always attentive. The atmosphere is focused more towards the young adult group (myself 23) after 10 o clock as they move all the tables away to make room for a dance/club scene. Overall, would 10/10 recommend for food and a good time. prices are also very reasonable. I had my sons baptism here and the food and service was amazing!!! Highly recommend ... Michelle was fantastic she kept going around making sure I was ok and if everything else was ok she made me feel very comfortable, she was fantastic .... LOVE THIS PLACE

I love Bar Americana, but they did something to me, that I was NOT happy with. I went there this past Friday with 20 of my friends, for my birthday. YES PARTY OF 20!!! We ate and drank and ate and drank. At the end of the night the waiter brought me a piece of cheese cake with a candle... and sang happy birthday to me... which was very nice. Great food, drinks and atmosphere. We went on a Wednesday night and sat outside. Then, we came back on a Friday night and sat inside. The dueling pianos were great and it was a lively crowd. Your waiters are awesome and saints. A woman at the table next to us was pretty much insane and complaining that she added shrimp to her salad for $8 and only received 6 shrimp on the top of the salad. We literally had no clue why she was complaining. It was a nice size salad with nice size shrimp. She proceeded to complain to every waiter for about one hour. That was the only thing that was annoying about our visit. We did have the staff laughing as we said we wanted more crumbs in our cake and apples in our pie. Everything was great! More...

I was visiting in New Jersey with family members of mines and they took me to this restaurant while visiting. Being that I've never heard of it before and that is was my first time there, I must that it is an excellent restaurant. They have a bar area for the people that drinks alcohol beverages. I came to the Bar Americana specifically to try the Fish Sandwich which features a saffron aioli. I could not stop eating it! One of the best fish sandwiches I’ve ever had.
