Fried food is good, everything else was precooked hours ago. You can tell just by looking at the food line. The ladies that work there are lazy. One of them was on her phone while she was working on my order. It was as if I was bothering her. Some of these people need to be replaced. The food looks and smells delicious, unfortunately it lacked flavor. I was super excited to eat some down South food but there was no seasoning whatsoever which was quite disappointing. My husband's food was undercooked as well. Out of the entire meal I had to at least give 2 stars for the kool aide, but even with that the cups were so small I had to ask for 4 refills. Bankhead is the real deal forreal forreal.  Everything is cooked with love and just how you would make it at home . Everything ain't perfect but Everythang is good to the last drop. The food is subpar. I tty not to give businesses negative reviews but this place needs work. I got the smothered chicken once and it was the wrong color. I looked up their health rating and saw that they have been closed due to vermin snd other violations. It is a tiny spot so I had to take everything to go even before covid. Love the red snapper. The two side sauces for the snapper (a dill and a sour red) themselves were worth the price of admission! I used to enjoy this spot. However after 2/27/2021 I will not spend a dime there. Thanks to the inconsistencies with their web order application and the rude young woman working the window taking orders. Mine was simple:We ordered our food online and received an email stating that our order would be ready at 5:30pm. We arrived at 5:30 and after waiting in line for 10 minutes, I was able to alert the young woman taking the orders, that I was there to pick up an online order. After giving her the name and phone number associated with the order, I was told that the order would be ready in ten minutes.....twenty minutes later and three customers after my order, I inquired about our order, the young lady that I had spoken with earlier in regards to my order, asked me for the name on my order? I told her, the name again. She proceeded to nonchalantly inform me there was no more bbq chicken. So I was offered ribs as I was on the phone speaking with my wife st the time, in regards to the update to our order. I was upset and my wife was very dissatisfied. Once the order was finally prepared and brought to the counter, I asked the young lady that had taken my order," If no bbq chicken was available, why didn't you explain that to me when I initially spoke with you? Her response," We just ran out. We have a whole bunch of orders back there still"."Okay, but you could have told me sooner and then I would had cancelled the order or asked what else might had been available".She began to explain to me that someone that works for the company is on maternity leave and is at home doing the online ordering process. So I took the food,(that I did not order) and began to walk towards my vehicle. The same young lady that had taken my order, comes out of the restaurant to tell some unidentified adult male sitting in a burgundy mini van, that I had started tripping on her because my order was wrong. If her alerting this person about my dissatisfaction  with my order,  was meant to intimidate me? It worked. You do not have to worry about me ordering food from Bankhead.I gotta part ways with you Bankhead. My life is more valuable than your food. If the owner(s) of Bankhead wouldn't  mind, I'd like to share some advice:1. Please upgrade your online ordering process2. Hire people that know how to effectively    communicate to your customers3. Hire people that want to work for you and  provide them with incentives so that they want to fulfill each customers order like they are family or close friends. First time trying the place, the service alone deserves 10 stars, I placed my order then my boyfriend asked questions about couple other food items and the lady promised she will put in couple pieces of samples in our plate to try. Turned out we got almost full orders of chicken and full order of beef tips to try. That was super awesome ! We ordered the extra large two meat item plate for only $17 and it was A LOT of food even without the extra samples. The food tasted amazing as well. We live right across the street. We get food from here on a regular basis. Tonight the food was horrible. We ordered Red Snapper it was so fishy we couldn't even eat it. It was full of bones which we were told to be careful. In all the years I've here we have NEVER had bones in our fish or fishy tasting fish. So disappointed and no one would answer the phone when we call to complain about the food.
