I've attended African dance and drum company events all over the country. Bandan Koro is by far one of the best. The professionalism, the hospitality, and the willingness of the dancers and drummers to teach. .. they are far beyond anything I've seen before. If you are ever in Dallas in a Saturday afternoon, you would do yourself a disservice to not stop by and check it out yourself. You will definitely want to come back again! More...

Amazing ensemble! Their love for the Dallas community and traditional African culture is demonstrated through all their efforts. I was introduced to Bandan Koro at my job. They did a performance for Black History Month. The drummers and dancers had such fun and high levels of energy. It became contagious, as many members of the audience began to dance and sing along with the drums. They shared knowledge and insight about the African culture. I became interested in Bandan Koro after attending one of their community performances. Their professionalism, knowledge, energy, and presence were so captivating I had to checkout their community classes. As predicted, they exceeded my expectations. The dancers and drummers of the ensemble were welcoming of new class attendees, and engaged dancers of all levels and ages.
