I have been going to Women's Health Services of Central Virginia since April of 2018 for my prenatal appointments, and have been happy with services rendered. For my appointments I see Dr. Wheelock, who has a great bedside manner, and has been great at making me comfortable and answering all of my first pregnancy questions. One service that is great is the "ask a nurse" function in the patient portal, this makes asking questions outside of your appointments easy and hassle free. One thing I was marginally surprised about was that prior to receiving any prenatal care a payment agreement is required to be signed, and installments paid by the installment dates. This just ensures that they are not left with huge unpaid bills for the services that your health insurance will not cover, having a baby is expensive! More...

I’ve carried three precious babies to term with this office 2 delivers with them. One at home lol. Long story .. Va Baptist totally had a blonde moment Per se. Dr. Neiman is my Dr. has always been my OBGYN there and he is an amazing Dr. and a great man! He understands to a T whatever you may be going through and even through he’s always super busy/popular he does what he can to help you out to the best of his ability! I would give him a 10 if it was possible on the site. Now the front desk however, there has only been one maybe 2 employees up there that’s been super sweet to me and does there job correctly. As for the others I’ve had a lot of bad attitudes and just plan terrible rude service. Going as far as not letting me speak to my Dr. or typing the reason I’m coming to visit where my insurance wasn’t able to cover. I have been going here for 3 years now and have never had a complaint, maybe the wait time but the staff is AMAZING!! Dr. Baker is my doctor, he knows how to bright up someones day lol . After 2 tries of getting pregnant and having a baby, Dr. BAKER was the one that made the third try happen. I'm so thankful we found a doctor who would put so much time and effort for me to have my baby finally! Dr. Pierce is also an awesome doctor, he was a doctor I had to see when my doc wasn't there and im happy that he was DETAIL about everything in my pregnancy. I'm currently 35 weeks pregnant with my first baby, and I've had a great experience with WHS so far. Dr. Schindler is my regular doctor, and while there is sometimes a wait later in the afternoon, she is always kind and makes sure there is time for questions. I recently had an appointment with Dr. Pierce, too, and I was equally impressed by him. He may be the kindest, most informative doctor I've ever been seen by. He even took the time to draw out a diagram to help me remember how to count contractions, and he took extra time with me to make sure all my questions were answered. More...

At 32 weeks, I was seen in the L&D for pre-term labor. Dr Phemister was the attending on call and he was PHENOMENAL! Dr. Phemister was incredible - he provided a calm, comforting bed side manner, answered any and all questions I had, encouraged me through all my possible 'what if' questions and was incredibly informative. I love this place. I have Dr. Baker he handled my miscarriage and now he's dealing with this pregnancy. Everything is awesome but i had an emergency one day and my boyfriend went with me and I had to see terry. I had an appointment there a week ago and have had difficulties filing my prescriptions (ENTIRELY the fault of my pharmacy). An employee at Women’s Health Services, Nikki (I apologize if I butchered the spelling) was beyond fantastic. She was kind, understanding, and extremely helpful. After several hours of me arguing with the pharmacy Nikki assisted me with getting everything worked out and my prescriptions filled. I could not be happier with them or their services. Also, there was another woman there whose name I’m unsure of, I do believe it was Stacy, who went out of her way to assist me as well. I honestly cannot say enough good things about the doctors and nurses at Women's health services. I have been going there for five years now and I will not go anywhere else. Dr Baker is the the best doctor and is so down to earth and gives you the best care possible. He is very laid back and does what needs to be done with as little hassle or pain as possible.I love all the nurses there and would call them my friends, they all take the time to get to know you and make you feel special.Two huge thumbs up!!!
